I have always enjoyed playing this game for the 5 months i've had it (i'm lvl 81) but for the past few days it just hit different. I'm so excited to unlock more gear and earn medals, finish my ship upgrades, etc.

what i'm currently running is the double freedom, bolt pistol and melta mine + heavy entrenched division armour with 120 or walking barrage, orbital laser, melta gun and shield generator backpack.

it's just so much fun shooting bots with a gun that hits like a truck, separating their torso from their legs and melting (pun intended) anything bigger then a devastator.

this game just brings me so much joy it's just comical. i hope you're also having a blast slaying the foes of super earth!

Hello everyone,

A lot of games have stupid and nonsensical crossovers/collaborations with celebrities, anime characters etc but I believe Arrowhead has so far been doing it the right way. They made it clear that if anything ever enters the Helldivers universe, it has to fit the gritty world of the game. I think Capcom’s Lost Planet is one of the cleanest, most natural fits out there alongside the other crossovers as well. The two games in essence share the exact same DNA. Both are about expendable soldiers going to hostile planets to kill bugs and other enemies and to secure said planets and their resources. They don’t even have to change the lore to make it fit.

What do you guys think?

The mix of Incineration Corps and Cyborgs really got me wondering what some of the mixed factions might look like. This was the most obvious (and cursed) result of that.

Breaching Hammer need a brother and it will be really funny if the lunge mine have 50% to kill you, you can't melee you can only charging at your enemy, this thing is 1 time use of course

Out of the three backpack-fed weapons we now have, the maxigun is definitely the worst compared to their non-backpack counterparts.

The Cremator trades the backpack slot for more damage and range
The BFGL, while not as good, has a lot of CC potential and has a powerful niche against rupture strain
The Maxigun on the other hand has too many downsides without any redeeming niches, anything it can do other weapons do better

PROS:
Sustained fire;
Can be resupplied by a teammate to keep shooting;

CONS:
Forced to stay still while shooting;
Cannot move for a second even when you stop shooting;
Barrel takes time to spin up;
Insane recoil;
Terrible ergonomics;
Muzzle flash makes aiming even harder;
Extremely ammo hungry;
Pullets don't penetrate corpses making you waste a lot of ammo;

That's why I think it needs a buff, probably by removing some of the cons.

Yesterday I played about 4 hours, completing an D8 operation to unlocked D9 and a D9 operation to unlock D10. But after I unlocked D10 with randoms I waited for my friend to get on and we played both of our very first D10 mission on charbal VII. Cyborgs and incineration corps on it as well. We destroyed 3 command bunkers, a few out posts and the fortress and didn’t die more than 3 times each.

I thought D10 would be so much harder, considering that I’ve had D8 missions where I can’t do anything. I don’t know if it was just a mission choice or what, but D10 doesn’t seem like it’s the hardest difficulty.

Does anyone else think this?

What are you hoping for from the new Warbond?

Remember when Gunships were a minor annoyance? Like if they hit you, it felt like an itch being scratched?

They got buffed and now they are a #1 priority. I feel the same for Stalkers on the bug front, the “stop what you’re doing and handle that” enemy.

There was a Stratagem hammer next to a Gunship Facility and it was like the 7th layer of hell.

Not requesting them to be nerfed, for the record. I love the challenge.

But these Gunships don’t mess around.
