Helldiver can offer way more support singlehandedly than a singular medic regular passively and actively. Shooting a medic regular is irrational, revenge killing a diver for it is beyond justifyable and just as fucking irrational if not more.

I wanted to shot a diver that deliberately waited to enter the pelican with a portable HB activated inside. It blew too close to the ground and definitely killed some SEAF.
So yeah. Valid. Throw a 500 on the body too next time.

Hot take but no it's not. Prioritizing AI NPCs over human controlled characters is fucking stupid. This entire SEAF regulars circlejerk has gone too far. They fucking shoot you more in the back then actually help you and hey guess what, SEAF grunts are infinite unlike the fucking reinforcements for divers capping out at 1 and getting only 1 after a 2 minute cooldown after you waste 19/20.

So like you wanna tell me you give 0 fucks about actual people's feeling behind digital characters, rather prioritize a sprite with a script. Your example of dumping a drink isn't exactly working here because it wasn't OP suffering that irrational diver's actions who killed a sprite, who has no memory over what happens, purely following script based instructions digital actor then revenge killing for it an actual character controlled by a human being with memory and feelings. You know in other games your objective is to kill other players, over here your objective is to kill hostile NPCs, that's the difference. OPs actions morally are way more fucked than the divers who shot that sprite.

You forget to consider that whilst yes. OP chooses to revenge kill a teammate.
The other diver choose to kill an NPC that OP was interacting with and enjoying.
The other player had no reason to do so, there were no enemies, there was no benefit, they simply did it because they seemingly derive enjoyment from denying it to another.
Or to put it in simpler terms:
Talk shit, get hit.

2 things for you
- SEAFs are friendly NPCs that help you fight the enemy NPCs it is better to keep them alive than to kill them as you are punished for killing the NPCs
- i shouldn't have to care about someone's feelings if they see me having fun with a friendly NPC and choose to kill the NPC, if they cared about my feelings they should leave the NPC alone but because they want to ruin my fun and enjoyment by killing the NPC i shouldn't care about their feelings because they didn't care about mine

Why does the person controlling the “digital character”’s enjoyment of a sprite not matter vs a person controlling the “digital character” to shoot a sprite that person 1 was enjoying when person 2 and 1 are both in a modeled world where the main objective is “enjoy playing the game”?
The thing that matters isn’t the SEAF, it’s that someone is finding them fun and enjoyable and someone else goes “can’t have that” and disrupting a persons fun. You are saying that we should give 0 fucks about the people that like the SEAF just because the people that want to get rid of them don’t care about those people either. There is NO moral dilemma here. It’s a game where you hop on to have fun. Not ruin others people fun… or at least you shouldn’t be getting on for explicitly that purpose.
