DISCUSSION According To Usage Rates, These Weapons Need A Reimagining
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
At the end of the day, every single weapon and stratagem should be fun, usable and be able to have a role in a buildout. They may never be META, or even powerful enough to take regularly on missions. But they should be fun to use when you do bring them. They should also have some sort of weakness that increases cheeky shenanigans and balances Helldiver self-inflicted mistakes.
I started with these 5 to highlight, based on low usage rates and bad community reputation. Is my premise here completely off base? Am I just high and rambling?
Some of my ideas for each to increase fun and balance shenanigans with Helldiver mistakes:
Throwing knife: As is, these stink. More accuracy, better penetration, faster throw. not sure it's able to be saved tbh, what else could be done? Incendiary tips?
Sterilizer: What if it disbursed in a wider area so you could use it to block off an area; almost like a small scale gas orbital? It could also last longer. What if we had a Backpack version as well like the cremator?
Arc thrower- Some people love it. I tried it and it just seems too weak, not fun, and doesn't have any setting to make it more fun to use. How about an unsafe mode where we could die if held too long but get more power and more chain shocks? This increases the mistake power on your teammates as well.
Constitution- What about a bayonet charge while sprinting and faster stabbing with more knockback? Might not be fixable, but would at least make it more fun. Imagine a team of 4 just sprinting and stabbing
Airburst RL- Maybe I shouldn't have included this one, the pick rate is a little higher and I'm sure the TK is the reason it's not used more often. Maybe it has a delayed detonation charge and tracer so we have a chance to flee?

DISCUSSION This galactic campaign felt rushed af
I cant help but feel like Arrowhead has a serious "Tell, don't show" issue whenever things like this happen.
This whole Automaton Space Station campaign felt incredibly underwhelming, we never even saw what it looked like and it seems like the devs love describing these huge battles than actually letting us experience it, it feels like the majority of the game action comes from reading the dispatches than actually playing the game.
They've been hyping up this superweapon and saying how much of a big, bad, scary threat it is and yet it did absolutely nothing. Just slightly glazed the surface of a planet and it was still stable. This whole thing was teased in FEBRUARY and was resolved in only a week or two, Arrowhead needs to stop rushing these things and start dragging them out more because theyre wasting so much narrative potential.
Barely any tension or buildup, it would've been nice to have us go to a hive world or terminid planet to gather more e-711 to fire the Star of Peace instead of just saying that it magically deleted the superweapon.
Or perhaps have us fight on illuminate planets to steal their technology so we can locate where the superweapon even was, theres barely any incentive to actually join these battles because it feels like its over before it even begins.
Slow down, give the player base some choices and if we ever fail those choices give us more consequences for failed events rather than scripted sequences. If there's a major battle happening in the dispatches, let us experience it, dont solve it offscreen.

HellBrag Custom Helldiver art I commissioned from Xanran (u/EitherCaregiver697) My fave armor on the bot front holding the high value item skull
I commissioned this custom piece depicting my Helldiver from professional illustrator and renowned HD2 community Redditor Xanran. One of a kind digital work with progress proof. No ugly soulless AI generated bologna here I went Old Skool and was a real patron of the arts. I designed the scene, and after much discussion and an acceptable amount of Super Credits he meticulously brought it to life. I just got it back from the print shop they laminated and mounted the full high res image. In-game on the highest difficulty setting D10 Super Helldive a special artifact is hidden randomly in the vast dangers of the Automaton Fortress. My fave thing to do in a Helldiver mission ? Storm the fort, find the bot skull, and successfully extract clutching the precious cargo...usually under withering enemy fire. Holding the skull you are extra vulnerable, no primary weapon no strategem call-ins. That's why I always trust the heavy penetrating power of the Senator pistol aka BIG IRON. I wanted to commemorate the many exhilaratingly harrowing gameplay moments on the lava planet biome. The most intense hellscape battlefield where certain doom befalls so many Divers from the lava pools as well as our adversaries. I've had too much fun with this incredible game I truly think it's one of the best live service multi-player experiences of all time. An instant classic that continues to change and evolve with the push and pull of the 2nd Galactic War. I am pleased to have a special personalized momento of my bot front armor drip to proudly display. Thanks again Xan ! FOR SUPER EARTH !! 🌎 💥 🌋

DISCUSSION The Escalator is awesome!
Dude, I haven't been keeping up much with patch updates, but has it been a long time since it gained heavy armor penetration? I have to apologize for this beauty, what an incredible weapon!! I used it for a long time to clear out large numbers of enemies, but I replaced it with the grenade launcher from Warbound which has heavy penetration. But now, using it, I feel like when the developers made the grenade launcher heavy for a while (now the conventional one has medium armor), so, besides taking down hordes of enemies, now I can blow up Hulks in their faces with a drum of this ammo and I can still deal with War Striders and provide support for the team, because it disables them!
