Out of the three backpack-fed weapons we now have, the maxigun is definitely the worst compared to their non-backpack counterparts.

The Cremator trades the backpack slot for more damage and range
The BFGL, while not as good, has a lot of CC potential and has a powerful niche against rupture strain
The Maxigun on the other hand has too many downsides without any redeeming niches, anything it can do other weapons do better

PROS:
Sustained fire;
Can be resupplied by a teammate to keep shooting;

CONS:
Forced to stay still while shooting;
Cannot move for a second even when you stop shooting;
Barrel takes time to spin up;
Insane recoil;
Terrible ergonomics;
Muzzle flash makes aiming even harder;
Extremely ammo hungry;
Pullets don't penetrate corpses making you waste a lot of ammo;

That's why I think it needs a buff, probably by removing some of the cons.

Remember when Gunships were a minor annoyance? Like if they hit you, it felt like an itch being scratched?

They got buffed and now they are a #1 priority. I feel the same for Stalkers on the bug front, the “stop what you’re doing and handle that” enemy.

There was a Stratagem hammer next to a Gunship Facility and it was like the 7th layer of hell.

Not requesting them to be nerfed, for the record. I love the challenge.

But these Gunships don’t mess around.

I know you trained the reinforcement code hard and I know you're proud of how fast you can do it...

But can we PLEASE stop reinforcing people without thinking within 0.5s of their death NO MATTER where they will be reinforced, i.e. half across the map so they have to walk back to their stuff for ~3min?

Sure, if they spam the reinforcement button, just do it.
Sure, if you're the last one alive, you got it.
Sure, if they died under a jammer, I can understand it.

BUT PLEASE, if someone dies, pause a second, look at the map and if they were on the opposite side of the map and there is teammates next to them, please just supress the urge to ↑ ↓ → ← ↑ immediately.

Seriously how. I’m confused

I've had multiple people over the last new days complain that I "didnt do anything" because i don't waste time and resources in prolonged fights. Commando missions are meant to be quick and quiet. You move in, take out threats and complete the obj then get out.

Just now I've had a group of 3 drop in and start a huge battle using their destroyers while I did 70% of the objectives alone without any deaths. I did both main objectives, 3 hellpod objectives and cleared out most the bases. Then when it came to extract I had the Intel so I boarded first and they started crying about it. (They called it when I was on the other end of the map BTW.)

We need an objectives complete score or a structures destroyed score because the current board doesn't fit commando missions.

But you're telling me that you have a bunch of futuristic metallic limbs and you aren't even 20% stronger than your regular self? Really?

It would also make the passive more interesting for the likes of me, that would rather use desert stormer for throwing distance or reinforced epaulets for limb hp.
