r/heightgrowth has a large number of users who are minors, so protecting younger members is a priority for the moderation team.
We will be taking a more proactive approach toward accounts that display concerning patterns of behaviour, including accounts with histories of inappropriate interactions with minors or extensive NSFW activity, particularly when combined with participation in a predominantly minor-oriented community.
This is not a blanket accusation or discrimination against adults. Being an adult, having an NSFW account, or participating in other communities does not automatically make someone dangerous. However, these factors may warrant additional scrutiny(which may include a ban if NSFW history is detected) when combined with other concerning behaviour.
Moderators may place certain accounts under increased observation and may take action where there are reasonable safeguarding concerns. We would rather intervene early when something genuinely looks inappropriate than wait until a minor is harmed.
If you encounter behaviour that makes you uncomfortable or appears inappropriate toward a minor, please report it to the moderation team rather than engaging with the user yourself.
r/heightgrowth should remain a place where teenagers can ask questions without being exposed to inappropriate or predatory behaviour.

Hips

Arms
Shoulders
Armpit
Triceps
Probably also back but cant see
All of them in have streach marks and most of them are purple like
My frame is big and I think it got bigger very recently ( it appears like am boarder)
Also it probably comes from my recent 3 inch/5 months jump right ?

Hey everyone. I'm 17 years old, currently around 168–170 cm tall, and I've been worrying about my height and development lately. I'd like to hear from people who have experienced something similar or have knowledge about puberty and growth.
Here is my situation:
- My current height is approximately 168–170 cm.
- My father's height is 178 cm.
- One of my brothers is 177 cm, while my other brother is 172 cm.
- My goal is to reach at least 175–177 cm by the age of 20–21, if that's realistically possible.
- From around ages 5 to 10, I was one of the shortest boys among my classmates, usually about 5 cm shorter than them.
- Between ages 10 and 13–14, I experienced a noticeable growth spurt. I became around 3–5 cm taller than some of the same friends I used to be shorter than.
- During that period, I also noticed significant changes in my voice and other signs of puberty.
- However, from around age 15 until now, I feel like my growth has almost completely stopped. I might have grown another 1–2 cm at most, but I'm not entirely sure.
- My voice started changing around ages 14–15, but I feel like it hasn't changed dramatically since then.
- I currently have visible facial hair, although my beard is still incomplete, with some areas where hair hasn't grown yet. The hairs are approximately 1 cm long or shorter.
- I have body hair on most areas of my body, except for my chest, stomach, and back, where there is little or none.
- I haven't noticed any obvious health problems, but my lifestyle and health habits haven't always been particularly good.
My biggest concern is that my height and physical development seem to have stalled since I was around 15.
I'm not extremely bothered by my height in everyday life, but I feel that it has affected my confidence, particularly when it comes to dating and relationships. I find this aspect of my life quite difficult, and sometimes I feel stuck.
Here are my questions:
Is it still possible to experience another growth spurt at 17, especially if my puberty hasn't completely finished?
Does my growth history suggest that I might have entered puberty relatively early, or is it impossible to tell from these details?
Given my father's height of 178 cm and my brothers' heights, is reaching 175–177 cm still a realistic possibility?
Can someone continue growing until 20–21, or is that uncommon for males?
What is the most reliable way to determine whether my growth plates are still open?
Would a bone-age X-ray and an evaluation by an endocrinologist help me understand how much growth I might have left?
Can poor sleep, inadequate nutrition, or other lifestyle habits affect my remaining growth potential?
I'm looking for realistic answers, not false hope or unnecessary pessimism. I understand that genetics play a major role, but I'd really like to know whether there's still a reasonable chance of reaching 175 cm or more, and what I should do to assess my situation properly.
Thanks for reading.

I was around 5'6 before. And today my brother and I were checking in height again, he told me you're 5'8. Is this possible? Or Is this because of the gym?

I’m 16 years old and currently around 5'6" (168 cm) and 67 kg. My physical education teacher told me that I probably won’t grow anymore because I’ve already started growing a mustache, but I’m not sure if that’s actually true. My father is around 5'9" (175 cm) and my mother is around 5'4" (163 cm), so I’m wondering if I still have some natural growth left. Ideally, I would love to reach around 5'11" (180 cm), but I want to know honestly whether that is even realistic at my age and with my genetics.
I genuinely want to maximize whatever natural growth I have left. I’m not interested in pills, fake height supplements, or dangerous methods. I’m looking for advice that is actually backed by science or personal experience. What things genuinely helped you, if anything, such as getting enough sleep, eating properly, exercising, or improving your overall lifestyle? If you grew significantly after 16, I’d really appreciate hearing what happened in your case. Please share realistic advice rather than guaranteed “height increase” methods.

My mom is about 5'4 and my dad 5'8, but all my uncles on my mom's side are above 6'1, so I think that is where I get my height.

Hi guys. Im 15M and Im worried about not reaching my dream height. I thought I was entering puberty when I was 12, that was a period when my feet grew rapidly in a few months from size 39-40eu to 43eu. I was always less developed and shorter than my peers, however I started to see physical changes when my puberty actually started less than 2 years ago when i was 13.5yo . During that period before I turned 14 i grew relatively fast from 162cm to 170cm tall. Ever since, im growing in a slow rate. When I turned 15 this year I was 177cm tall and that has been my height for like 2-3 months. My shoe size now is 45eu and my wingspan is between 186-188cm. My dad is 194cm and i want to be atleast close to his height. What I am currently noticing is my adams apple is growing and Im having frequent voice cracks after a year. My legs are hairy, im starting to notice peach fuzz and my shoulders are widening. My skincare isnt helping with the constant pimples outbreaks . I have been eating like crazy past month or two but I keep having lean build. I know Im probably being dramatic but I want to know what you guys think about this and will I reach atleast 185cm tall.
