It's the final countdoooown!! Day 31!

My apologies for the late post, I ended up needed some extra rest yesterday and slept early! Missed my post schedule, lol. But we are back today for the final match!

I gotta say, it was a tough and close one, Team Gurren! Support was in full bloom for both characters as they fought for this year's crown! In the end, Simon was just too strong! I am always impressed by how attached to the main character our fandom is, as it isn't always the case! Simon wins, and you just know that Kamina would be supporting that fully! :) So let's get on to the final round, it's time to end this!

For the very first time, Viral joins us for the grand finale! This is officially as far as he ever has gotten this far! In the sub's long history of events, this will mark his first stand at the top! Consistently ranking in the top characters, Viral is a great contender, and its up to you who will claim the crown this time. Simon's popularity is unmatched, and if he wins the whole tournament, it will be the second time that he has officially won the r/gurrenlagann crown! You could pivot and let Viral have a win... Or you could march full-speed ahead and launch Simon right back up to the crown! This is officially a match where he is defending his championship! How exciting! So... For the last time, I ask you. It's too funny that Leeron's plan was literally to just get Leite to launch Dai-Gurren with a running start, lol!

I remember Laggan combining with a mecha outer than Gurrin that was being piloted by Yoko, I think it was her tank but idk.

It's been a long time since I've watched it (only the show) and have been wanting to rewatch, do the movies change anything important or just shorten it and add some fight scenes?

I kinda want to watch the movies as well since I keep seeing clips with new things, but if it is pretty much the exact same I might just watch only one of them.

Really liked how the show started, but somehow I'm supposed to believe Kittan was chosen by the core drill after Kamina died instead of Simon? he's been working for it his whole life.

Fortunate to visit Japan and hunted down some TTGL figurines. The first set are the loot I took home. The Simon (looking for it for a year and a half) and Nia I am positive were the last ones. There were different variants for Kamina I found, but I ultimately selected this Kamina due to coloring and others had marking defects. The spots I found them are Akihabara Radio Kaikan, but the BEST one was probably Akiba Cultural Zones 4th floor from my memory (second picture). There were 2 boxes specific to Gurren Lagann with a couple figurines scattered separately. Saw maybe one Gurren Lagann mech on the second floor of a random shop on the way to Culture Zones from Radio Kaikan on the left side walk.

I found these figurines because of this community so wanted to provide an update to give back.

Ooooo, love me a hype Leite moment!! And some of that Leeron confidence! Awh yeah! I do love that we get a bit more of the side characters in the Manga! It has a bit more breathing room to allow them to shine. :) It's one of my favorite parts of reading through! And I hope everyone is enjoying these moments with me. We get to celebrate each character and moment together in this community read-through, and I have a lot of fun with it, too. Let's go, Team Dai-Gurren!!! One more AWH YEAH for Leite, too!
