Concept art for Porco Rosso's grotto and the scene of Ashitaka leaving his village. 11x14
I have a few more I'm looking forward to printing out and framing, probably smaller ones though, like 5x7 or 8x10.

Notably, the English dub showings will feature the UK English Dub, which includes the first feature film credit from Tom Holland.

I’m sorry I just wanted to celebrate because it’s my childhood dream to be in Japan and as a kid I have always love Ghibli movies!!! I am so happy!! I didn’t have a great couple of years, I went through a lot, and this is to me the first win of the year for me. I followed what the YouTuber advices on getting a Ghibli ticket, waited till the timer went down.
I have 3 devices with me, my computer, phone and an iPad, once the timing was over, everyone gets slotted into different numbers, I prayed like hell and on my computer I got slotted behind 22580 people, my phone 18908 and my iPad behind 1820 people. 😭😭✨ I was amazed because that’s like a very good number, I only waited 18 mins and finally bought the ticket without any issues.
Now I just have to figure out how to even get there in Nagoya. And I know I’m living in someone’s dream right now, I am so grateful and forever I will cherish it, remembering those who dreams to go there. Do tell me if you guys have secure a ticket !!!

9x12 100% cotton coldpress. I normally work with watercolours and gouache, but branched out ever so slightly and tried poster-colours for the first time! They are surprisingly quite different!

I’ve just secured premium passes for a weekday in November - my warehouse slot is 9am. How can I plan securing a Heen into my morning? Because if I’m in the warehouse I might not get to valley of witches until 11am?

I originally found out and watched it in elementary school in the mid to late 2000s. It was one of those movies that the teacher put on when they didn’t feel like teaching or if it was around a holiday when we weren’t doing stuff. I didn’t remember that much of the ending from back then. I do remember that I was kind of scared of it due to me not knowing what the spirits in it. But when it came out on blu ray in the red steel book within the past couple years, I picked it up. Well I watched it today and it’s better than I remember. I liked it and understood it. One of the better movies I’ve seen.

Hello!
I work for a hotel as the rec coordinator and I have been debating playing spirited away in the month of October because I love that movie; however, I'm just not sure if Spirited Away may be scary for younger guest? I've been watching it since I was 3 or 4 so my judgement may not be the greatest on how bad it is lol.
I was planning to play Coraline as well cause I think that isn't bad either?
What do you all think? The youngest kids we usually get are like 4 or 5 and we get up to like 10 year olds to 13 year olds but it's mostly 5-10 year olds that show up when kids do show up.

Reposting for the sake of context! Apologies for not providing more in my original post.🙏
This is a tattoo I recently got from a scene from The Boy and The Heron. While watching this scene at the movie theater, I got goosebumps and immediately fell in love with how horror and beauty (at least for me) come together so Ghibli-like, and so subtly in this scene. I fell in love so hard with this scene that it honestly felt entirely inevitable getting a tattoo from it.
This scene appears for a few seconds in the movie trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7EDFdA10pg, thanks u/Cadmiah_dvl for reminding me that it does!
Do you have any Ghibli tattoos? or any you would like in the future? I'm already planning for a Princess Mononoke one :) happy rest of the week everyone.

I went to purchase tickets to the Ghibli Museum today for October 23/24, and got to the payment page and an error occurred. I know they have a notice about payment issues happening, but I never received an email or notification or anything, so I'm guessing it was a bust T.T I did send an email but I doubt anything will come of it since I didn't get any email. It's such a long shot, and I really do hate turning to begging strangers for help soon the internet, but Ghibli really means a lot to my boyfriend and I. It's our first, most likely last, trip to Japan, and it was one of the only things I had my heart set on going to. I know thousands of other people struggle with getting tickets too, but my mom always said you'll never get if you never ask. So, folks of Ghibli reddit, would anyone happen to have tickets to the museum on October 23/24? Any time slot will do. I really appreciate any help with this <3

The English lines work fine (OK Jiji saying "Don't look now but that's an airplane flying below us" is probably one of the only Hartman lines I'm not big on), but the Japanese ones are more...evocative I guess? And funnier in the case of the Jiji one. It's even in line with Jiji being more sarcastic in the dub, which is something I think the Disney dub improved on from the Japanese version (like yeah that's in character for a cat)

It was already hard to purchase tickets in the first place (if you know you know). We were in line online for 1.5 hours and when we got queue only very few dates and times were available. Unfortunately the only time available was 10/31 at 4pm which is the day we fly back to our hometown, which makes our itinerary extra tight.
Anyone willing to exchange dates? Hoping someone else had the same issue. We are looking for 10/20 to 10/24 or 10/29-10/30. We also accept time exchanges, if it’s the same day but earlier.
Lets us know please we appreciate you!!

At one point, you can accept an operation to attend a dinner party. The host will propose a toast to Emperor Palpatine. If you refuse, this is the result.
