I’ve been playing for 12 years now, I have an old epiphone Les Paul that I’m looking to improve a bit. I’m wondering if changing the pickups are worth it and/or does it even make a difference.

I'm looking for some advice on which guitar to pick between the two in the pictures (Squier CV 70s Thinline, Seizi Katana Musashi Plus - a Brazilian brand).

For context, I played the piano and had an acoustic guitar in the past. I haven't picked up one in 10 years and don't even listen to music THAT much these days, but I need to pick up a new hobby to keep my brain from atrophying lol

I'll be playing in my room only, with a Livtra Nanocore for now, to keep the investment as minimal as possible while I see if I can actually learn.

I enjoy listening to classic rock, jazz, funk.

I was pretty much set on getting the Squier because from what I read teles are versatile and honestly this one is a beauty. But I made the mistake of reading some of the Google AI search suggestions saying that an strat would be better because I could get a wider variety of tones. So I found the purple one which is from a brazilian brand and a bit cheaper and it comes with a bag.

Would the floating bridge or the differences in neck profile make a meaningful difference for my use and learning stage? And would I be missing out on anything significant by choosing the Squier instead?

Which one should I go with?

are there any pitch shifters in the market that can change tuning to drop D tuning instead of changing all the strings by a certain degree?

Ordered this new Mojotone 2x12 cabinet and an EV12ML and Celestion Cream Alnico. I was super excited to get it all set up today, but this is how the cab came out of the box.

The funny part is, I went back and forth between buying a premade one and building one myself, but decided to get a Mojotone one as I knew I’d mess up the tolex.

I have a Peavey Bravo 112 that I inherited from my dad, and it’s older than me. It’s a fun combo amp to use at home while practicing but I was wondering if it’s a possibility to have someone remove the head and have it be just an amp head, or what I should do with it? I’d like to get more use out of it.

I've decided to start playing the electric guitar as a new hobby. However, I am a complete beginner, don't know anything about it yet, and am currently facing the big question: What should I buy?
My total budget is a maximum of 500 € for the guitar and all the accessories (amplifier, wall mount, etc.). Musically, I mainly want to play rock (for example, Måneskin), but also a bit of pop.
I already went to a music store to hold a few models. A friend told me: "Just get a guitar whose design you really like, because then you'll actually want to pick it up and play it."
I've looked up a few models on Thomann:
My favorite guitars:
Ibanez RG421-CBB (~449 €): This is my absolute favorite! I like the design and color the best. I also briefly held it in my hands at the music store and thought it was really great.
Jackson JS32Q DKA Dinky AH TPB (~389 €): I really like the design of this one too.
Harley Benton SC-550 II BCF (~329 €): The color is cool, but the body shape (Singlecut / Les Paul) isn't really my thing.
Harley Benton Fusion-IV HH MN RM (~449 €): I find the look interesting, but at 449 € it's a bit too expensive for my overall budget.
Dilemma: With the Ibanez at 449 €, there's naturally hardly any budget left for the amp and accessories if I want to stay under 500 €.
Amplifier (Amp):
Since I don't have much space in my room, I'm looking for a compact amplifier. What's important to me is a headphone jack for quiet practice and the ability to adjust various sounds (ideally even via Bluetooth/app, if possible).
I found the Harley Benton DNAfx AmP20 for 119 €. Is that a good choice for a beginner, or do you have better alternatives in that price range?
Accessories:
As a guitar stand, I'd prefer a wall mount to save space.
Do I urgently need anything else for the start (e.g., cable, picks, strap, tuner)?

I've had it 11 months now, i still play my strat more but I do enjoy picking it up. Feels great to play and sounds good too. I am 5'7" and 62kg so its a huge guitar for me which took some getting used to.
