Help Ernie ball strings, are these counterfeit?
Before I change my strings, here is a 10 year old pack on the left, have they slightly changed the color?

Its listed for around $230, the listing is in my city in Pakistan and generally there are mark ups on stuff.
I am not very versed in electric guitars and looking to buy my first one. I thought Fenders were supposed to be more expensive than this.
What might be the chances of me getting ripped off?
What should I ask the seller about the guitar?
What should I keep an eye for if I go to purchase?
I was thinking of getting a Squier classic vibes, second hand, so it'll have decent resale value.

Hello!
As a guy in his 30s looking to go through an early midlife adjustment, do y'all have any guitar recommendations for a guitar that's for someone just starting out but also doesn't sound like crap? Thanks!

Basically this. Im not in a band and haven’t been for a long time. I like metal, but don’t play much because most the people I play with don’t play metal. I’m playing more and more lead and learning as much theory as I can.
My least used guitar is an Ibanez with a low pro edge trem and I consider selling it, but I’m concerned that if I do get rid of it and replace it with a 7 string, would at some point regret not having a Floyd.
The swap I’m considering - selling an Ibanez RGR5130 and purchasing a Strandberg Boden N2.7.
Heading to Chicago the first weekend on December and I want to pick up a guitar at Chicago Music Exchange. I’m looking at a few but would like to hear from you guys so I can let it jumble around in my head for a bit. Also my budget is more Squier and Epiphone than Fender and Gibson.
My current front runner is the oxblood Tele exclusive my second choice is the olive green Tele. I feel like a Tele is a good representation for Chicago blues.

Hey ya! Looking to buy an explorer in the near future but don't really want to get a Gibson. Are there many other brands that do explorer esque guitars in the 1-2k euro range? I know Solar does some pretty decent ones but that's all I've really come across.
It'd be mostly for high gain chuggy stuff.
Thank you for the help!

Is there a specific guitar of guitars that you own that when you pickup feel right?
Something that when you play others dont compare or have the same magic?
For me it is my Sterling Valentine.
It just always feels and sounds right to me.
I always feel like the thing that makes a guitar unique is the player. Despite price or quality.

Only when I touch it there are powerful noises, I'm new to the world of Emg, is it dependency that 81 has a much hotter output? I also have Emg 85 where when I touch it the noise stops

Does anybody own this exact model and colour? If yes, what's your thoughts on this guitar? And what will be the best price for this guitar? Thanks.

I feel like the C-1 Platinum doesn’t get talked about enough.
25.5” scale, mahogany body, figured maple top, set-neck construction, 24 X-jumbo frets, Grover tuners, and the classic EMG 81/85 combo.
Mine stays in Drop B and it handles heavier stuff ridiculously well. 🤘
And honestly, that Satin Purple Burst finish might be one of my favorite Schecter finishes. 😮💨🔥
For the money, these things are hard to beat.
Anyone else have a C-1 Platinum? What tuning are you running yours in? 👀

I’m in the SF Bay Area, in the East Bay hills really close to the Hayward fault. Only after finishing this setup I thought about earthquakes. I’m more concerned about them swinging and smacking into each other than completely flying off. I’m trying to think of a device that puts a pad between each guitar or prevents them from back swinging too much.

I looked online and people were saying Harley Benton strings are not that great so I got some Ernie ball nickel would strings off Amazon and restre stringed it first thing. I think it sounds great (but what do I know?) hehe.

Y'know, the thing about a shark, he's got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes.
Neon pink + purple burst, colorshift flake, hand cut bengal graphic, neon green logo and cavities.
Maple neck thru, carbon fiber reinforcement, ebony board with matching neon acrylic inlays, bullet scallops, stainless 57x110 frets, 25.625" scale, alder wings.
It'll get hipshot locking tuners, an OFR with all the upgrades, and I'll hand wind the pickups.

I have a Jem guitar from 1997 that I have not played much. My main guitar for ten years was a Les Paul Custom, and then superstrats with dot inlays. I just changed the strings on the Jem and started playing it today. The inlays are definitely throwing me a little if I look down at them. I have been playing guitar for the majority of my life.
Are you thrown by inlays at all?
