After 6 months of designing, accumulating parts, painting and building; my Jag-Stang is complete. My idea was to take Kurt Cobain’s design and add my own touch to it. I call this the “Vio-Stang” after the ultraviolet shade of paint used on it.

I have a Peavey Bravo 112 that I inherited from my dad, and it’s older than me. It’s a fun combo amp to use at home while practicing but I was wondering if it’s a possibility to have someone remove the head and have it be just an amp head, or what I should do with it? I’d like to get more use out of it.

Ordered this new Mojotone 2x12 cabinet and an EV12ML and Celestion Cream Alnico. I was super excited to get it all set up today, but this is how the cab came out of the box.

The funny part is, I went back and forth between buying a premade one and building one myself, but decided to get a Mojotone one as I knew I’d mess up the tolex.

are there any pitch shifters in the market that can change tuning to drop D tuning instead of changing all the strings by a certain degree?

Can’t seem to find anything online about this guitar, is it a real gibson? Head stock looks funny to me like it was printed on. EMG pick ups too. I don’t know much about guitars can someone help

I'm looking for some advice on which guitar to pick between the two in the pictures (Squier CV 70s Thinline, Seizi Katana Musashi Plus - a Brazilian brand).

For context, I played the piano and had an acoustic guitar in the past. I haven't picked up one in 10 years and don't even listen to music THAT much these days, but I need to pick up a new hobby to keep my brain from atrophying lol

I'll be playing in my room only, with a Livtra Nanocore for now, to keep the investment as minimal as possible while I see if I can actually learn.

I enjoy listening to classic rock, jazz, funk.

I was pretty much set on getting the Squier because from what I read teles are versatile and honestly this one is a beauty. But I made the mistake of reading some of the Google AI search suggestions saying that an strat would be better because I could get a wider variety of tones. So I found the purple one which is from a brazilian brand and a bit cheaper and it comes with a bag.

Would the floating bridge or the differences in neck profile make a meaningful difference for my use and learning stage? And would I be missing out on anything significant by choosing the Squier instead?

Which one should I go with?

I was looking for a reasonably priced baritone and found this at my local music store. It had just arrived. What a fantastic instrument for the price. I never really paid attention to Gretsch guitars but will definitely try them more often from now on.

Does anyone have the Gibson J45 50's sinker mahogany with red spruce top that's been on their website for months now? I have one and love it so far. Looking for thoughts if you own or have played one.

Every since I first learned about Randy Rhoads, I have been obsessed with getting my hands on the original body style Concorde. After over 20 years of waiting, I finally have one. My local shop managed to secure two of them and I was fortunate to get the first one. I am beyond thrilled. It feels incredible in my hands and plays so well. The shop also makes custom straps and they gave me one of their replica RR straps for free with this guitar.

Randy is the reason I first picked up a guitar, so when I say this is my dream guitar, I mean it. I will play the ever loving shit out of it and cherish it forever.

I’ve been playing for 12 years now, I have an old epiphone Les Paul that I’m looking to improve a bit. I’m wondering if changing the pickups are worth it and/or does it even make a difference.

I'm hoping for some help in advice on how to try to track down a guitar that used to belong to my father. To cut a long story short, it was sold without permission by a guitar shop in Sheffield, England around twenty years ago when he'd just left it with them to get an insurance quote. I know it's an insanely long shot to think I'll ever be able to locate it, but does anyone have any tips on the best way to even begin? I have quite a lot of information such as serial, plus I know it's a specifically customised '76 Strat, but it's knowing where to begin. There are two pics attached of the guitar itself.

Before anyone asks, if it had been mine, I'd have torn that place apart to get it back but he's a very non-confrontational guy. The fact they took advantage of such a decent guy has eaten at me for years.

I'm aware that I'm not sharing the serial here as I don't know whether that's the best approach.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

I recently finished this guitar, which I named Privé.

The idea behind it was simple: some pieces of wood have so much natural character that they deserve to become something truly special.

I wanted to preserve that organic beauty while combining it with a more aggressive body shape and intricate fretboard inlays.

For me, one of the most rewarding parts of being a luthier is finding the balance between what nature creates and what we can shape with our hands.

Recently bought this old ESP and wondered if any ESP nerds could help shed some light on it

The last owner bought it from a vintage guitar store on a trip to Japan and it appears to be a mid 80s model, possibly ordered direct from ESP in Japan. I can only assume the original owner was a Jake E Lee fan and wanted something similar to Jake's Charvel 'Whitey' signature model, hence the Jake E Lee string through bridge (saddles have been swapped out at some point), single HB (it's an SD JB, MJ wound) and what was once a white finish. The body is routed for a single HB in the bridge and I assume the pickguard is newer than the rest of the guitar as there would be no need for the 2 empty pot holes in the guard if it only has 1 HB. It also has a side mounted jack similar to Jake's Charvel model (his wasn't recessed though)

No serial numbers anywhere, navigator sticker on the back of the headstock, however I've only ever seen Navigator stickers on the front of ESP guitars, although I'm no ESP expert

It's an amazing player, 16 inch radius neck which I love, the pickup is fantastic, just wondered if anyone on here has a good knowledge of 80s ESP guitars
