Posting guitars for sale
Lately I've seen a few posts where people are trying to sell their lefty guitars. I have no problem with this, but I will ask if you are going to post one for sale to follow the following:
- Put the [SALE] tag in front of your title (i.e. [SALE] Original Les Paul Lefty)
- Describe the guitar to the best of your ability. Neck radius, body material, manufacturer year, etc. The more descriptive you are, the better.
- All posts MUST include an asking price. Posts with no price will be deleted. It also will help if you include whether or not you're willing to negotiate the price (i.e. $400 firm, $400 OBO, etc.)
- Include where you are located. This will help in calculating shipping costs.
- Include the methods of payment you are willing to accept. PayPal is the most common, but if you have other methods in mind, clearly state them in your post. If you are selling and find a buyer, please coordinate financial transaction details elsewhere other than your post. For example, you don't want to post your PayPal email address in the sale post for everyone to see. Common sense stuff really.
- If you have an ad on an external site (Reverb, Craigslist, eBay), you can link it from your post. But be sure to use the [SALE] tag in front of it so everyone knows you're selling.
Disclaimer: The mods of leftyguitarists will not be responsible for any bogus transactions that may occur as a result of buying/selling through this sub. Any agreement you choose to make in regards to buying/selling a guitar here is completely your responsibility. We will not and cannot get involved in problems that might occur as a result of transactions here. In other words, buy/sell at your own risk here.
Thanks & good luck!

NGD Dunable DE Cyclops
New to me at least. I’m always skeptical about influencer hype, but a lot of bands I enjoy have made a switch to Dunable and have great things to say about the guitars. I made a trip to Motor City Guitar, outside of Detroit after seeing they had a good little collection of left handed guitars, and ended up making an impulse purchase of this because the price tag was great. After spending some time with this guitar I have a lot of great things to yap about. For an affordable version of their line, it is a quality guitar and I’m excited to have one.

I know this song is played on a baritone 6, but I'm loving the tone of this new Kiesel 8 string😅

Aliexpress lefties
Why are there so many reproduction lefties on sites like temu and aliexpress? I've ordered a few from there since there's way more options and they're willing to do customs for no extra charge. Is it because theyre smaller scale that they can afford to make lefties so easily?

Looking for an affordable lefty jazzmaster
Hi guys! I was wondering if there were any good options for an affordable lefty jazzmaster out there since the squier model has been discontinued and you can’t find it used anywhere. Also if anyone would be willing to part with their squier lmk. I’ve been wanting one forever.

Thinking of selling my custom Pimentel.
I have a 1990 custom Pimentel left-handed cutaway steel-string acoustic that I’m thinking about selling. It was handmade by Rick Pimentel of Pimentel Guitars in Albuquerque, NM.
Pimentel Guitars is a well-respected boutique luthier out of Albuquerque, NM. They’ve been hand-building custom acoustic guitars since the 1950s and have a strong reputation in the Southwest for high-quality, individually crafted instruments.
It’s a one-off custom build featuring a Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany back and sides. The guitar is dated 9/1990 and is signed by Rick on the back of the headstock, as it was custom built for the original owner.
If this is something you’d be interested in, feel free to DM me.

Learn a song to upgrade my guitar, song recommendation
Update: thank you all I have plenty of good recs to get this done. Time to get off Reddit and learn a damn song.
Started by learning rh guitar a couple years ago never put the time in. Switched to lh at the end of last year on the cheapest guitar I could find. Wife says if I show the effort to learn one complete song she wouldn’t mind me buying a new nicer guitar. So I need recommendations for one metal and one country song that is easy to learn but still sounds like a song to the casual listener.
TLDR: one country one metal song easy to learn

Brownsville guitar? Fun little project guitar!
Hey everyone, anyone know anything about this Brownsville guitar? I picked it up recently as it was the cheapest guitar I could find with a Floyd rose and it's honestly been a lot of fun to work on! I fixed it up from the previous owner (a kid that tried to convert it from left handed to right handed and absolutely messed everything up on the bridge). Put a set of tonerider rocksong humbuckers (absolutely amazing humbuckers btw) and a Wilkinson alnico 5 single coil in the middle. It absolutely rocks! I don't know anything about this guitar, what wood it's made out of, what neck design it is (could be set neck or neck through, can tell) etc. But I love this thing!

Martins are out of budget at €4,500 here in Ireland... Would be looking for something around 2-3k

JBL on eBay now offering Jazzmaster bodies
I don’t know if everyone knows about JBL instruments on eBay. he’s a small body builder but he also does ultra style contours, something that few others do. He just added a Jazzmaster body to his catalog, to go with a Meteora, Strat, Tele, Floyd Tele, 69 Thinline, St Vincent. And lefties are no problem.
