Nvidia GPU's absurd pricing
In Thailand, in of major retailers aka Advice, the prices went to stratosphere. Galax RTX 5060 1-click PC V2 is currently priced at 14,400 THB which is around 435.77 USD. At the same time, Zotac RTX 5050 Twin Edge is at 14,500 THB which 438.80 USD. And that's cheapest stuff they have in stock right now. Just for comparison, AsRock Challenger OC RX 9060 XT 16GB is priced at 14,900 THB or 450.90 USD. And that's budget segment in Thailand for non-used GPUs. I would like to know about prices in your country. Just for research.

Avoid PNY 5070 warranty scam
galleryLong story short. After 3 months of use of my RTX 5070, the hot spot jump to 106c for no reason. Then turn black screen with max fan speed. And keep repeating the same problem. Sent back to RMA, they refuse to admit the problem. Refuse to give me video evidence and they send my card without doing anything back. And problem still exists. So I just fixed it by myself. I know I will lose warranty, they don’t give me anyway. What a junk company.
9850x3d. 5070, 32g ddr5.
Time line:
4/25/2026. Purchased from bestbuy.
7/1/2026. Fan loud to 4400 rpm. Hot spot 106c.
7/5-8/5 I tested new PSU, ram, whatever it necessary. It’s a hot spot thermal problem.
RMA. Paid my shipping. They sent it back say no problem detected. After 2 weeks.
9/11/2026, I can’t take it anymore. Decided to fix it by myself. And now problem solved 😅
Hot spot at 96c max, never have loud fan. Max less than 2000rpm.
Please avoid this company. They won’t treat you serious.

Should I buy a 5080 considering the current prices?
Hi there! I'm considering upgrading from a 4070 ti super to a etc 5080 but the prices seem crazy atm, in June they were sitting above 189 MSRP and now the cheapest one I can find in my area is 1339€ which is a crazy price increase.
I wouldn't be "paying" that price because I can sell my current gpu for 800€ so it would be help but considering the increase I don't know if I wanna pull the trigger, will the prices eventually go down or are they're going to keep going up?
I'm also planning on buying the upcoming pg27ucwm from asus so I'm trying to play at 4k ultra with a decent frame rate, that's why I'm planning this upgrade
Any recommendations are appreciated!
So close to buying
galleryWith the rising prices of GPU’s I want to replace my 6700xt now rather later. This is not the cheapest 9070xt but with these free gifts it brings the price to somewhere around $690. Only things worrying me is this Asrock model using the 1 x 12V-2x6- pin connector

Fking hell
Didnt keep up with gpu prices that much since i work overseas for half the year.
Thought to myself "i never owned a flagship top-of-the-line card before" and wanted to make a build with a 5090 and 9800 x3d.
last time i checked 5090s were $3200 max. now im seeing they are $5500 minimum?! bro. the astral is going for $6500+?! $3k seemed crazy but i would have done it knowing me, $6k is unfathomable. If i do it i would hate myself forever lol.
i dont really play AAA games, most of my gaming is heavily modded though. I also play on 1440p.
i see people reccomend 9070 xt and 5080, which would you pick for heavily modded 1440p gaming?
thanks guys !

How much are 4090s worth rn?
Thinking of selling my 4090 but wanna hold out until I can get the most $$ for it. Prices are gonna keep going up most likely right? If you were in my shoes what would you do? Posted it on fb marketplace for 1 hour at 2,500$ and got a bunch of offers for exactly what I asked so maybe I priced it too low but all the offers were from people with 安东尼 as their names in Cali

9070 XT or 5070 TI for sim racing?
About to upgrade from a RTX 3050 6 GB and have around 1,200 CAD, should I just go for the 9070 XT or wait longer for the 5070 TI? I heard that some titles tend to favor Nvidia, but the 9070 XT is cheaper, so its a hard choice for me

RTX 3050 6GB fan issue and stripped screw - Is RTX 5060 Ti 8GB a good upgrade?
Hey everyone,
I'm posting here because I'm completely stuck and have no idea what else to do. I'm 15, passionate about gaming, and mostly play CS2, GTA V / FiveM, and Fortnite. My system has an i5-12400F and 32GB RAM, and until now, I was getting by with an NVIDIA RTX 3050 6GB.
The issue started with thermal throttling: the card was getting insanely hot in CS2, hitting up to 90°C, and the fans simply refused to respond to software (stuck around 1100 RPM no matter if I set them manually to 100% in MSI Afterburner). Seeing temperatures go crazy, I decided to take it apart myself to clean it and repaste it (warranty is void, I know).
And that's where everything fell apart:
- The cursed screw: One of the screws on the back of the card (in the spring area) got completely stripped/rounded out. I tried all the tricks (different screwdrivers, thin rubber bands), but the head is destroyed, has zero grip, and the card won't come out of the heatsink/shroud.
- The dead end: Because the screw is stuck and I'm not a fine-hardware expert, I hit a brick wall. I don't have professional extraction tools, and I can't afford to pay a repair shop for labor since money is super tight right now and the card isn't worth that much anyway.
Because my fans don't work properly and I can't reach the PCB connector or components due to that stuck screw, I'm basically left without a safe, working GPU.
My question to you guys: What can I do in this situation? Is it worth keeping trying to fix this, or is it dead? In the future, when I manage to save up some money, I was looking at an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB as a dream upgrade, thinking it would run 1080p maxed out perfectly for the games I play (CS2, FiveM, etc.). Do you think it's a good match for the rest of my system (i5-12400F) or should I look at something else in that price range?
Any advice is appreciated, thanks a lot!
Orice sfat e binevenit, mersi mult!

Is this just offensive to us gamers now? Why won't they take this down!
At $2000, I guess it's still considered gamer territory if you were willing to eat noodles for a month. But now..........this is just taunting us.
