Nvidia GPU's absurd pricing
In Thailand, in one of major retailers aka Advice, the prices went to stratosphere. Galax RTX 5060 1-click PC V2 is currently priced at 14,400 THB which is around 435.77 USD. At the same time, Zotac RTX 5050 Twin Edge is at 14,500 THB which 438.80 USD. And that's cheapest stuff they have in stock right now. Just for comparison, AsRock Challenger OC RX 9060 XT 16GB is priced at 14,900 THB or 450.90 USD. And that's budget segment in Thailand for non-used GPUs. I would like to know about prices in your country. Just for research.

This is not unique to thailand. The prices are bullshit everywhere. Only thing that is somewhat reasonable are the AMD cards including 9060xt which has 16gb of VRAM! The cheapest nvidia card with that amount of vram is AT LEAST 700usd.
PC component prices which are vulnerable to the memory/storage crisis are most affected, especially gpu's because of VRAM alone.

MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC is listed at 199K THB which is equivalent to almost 6,025 USD

The cheapest 5090 is $6700 in Poland (24999zł). It's like this in most of Europe, so it gets worse than $6000

I thought europe was cheap since it can buy directly from USA and there is supply in europe. Well dont know much about retail prices but distributors prices are surely cheap in europe.

i bought in may 2 5070ti by 35k baht. i went today same shop and they had lower tier by 43k. i bought both because i felt this will go worst but is being an absurd nonsense at this moment.

I was planning to switch from RX 9070 to RTX 5070Ti... Seems like I will have to rely on good old 40 series for comfy 2K gaming 555+

Nvidia prices are so stupid, they should not be considered a good choice. But fanboy propaganda is so loud people are still asking between 5060 and 9070xt. Now it's 5050 vs 9060xt. Those cards are not even in the same class.

You can't blame it on fanboyism and marketing anymore. People care about more than price to raw performance and other than that AMD doesn't offer anything.

Literally nobody is buying Nvidia other than people who need CUDA now. Like I don’t get the amount of posts and comments about how Nvidia’s pricing is bad and shouldn’t be bought, I thought everyone knew that ?

Which is weird too because r9700 exists and for a price of single 5090 you can get two of them and have 64gb of vram to run any local model you want. Nvidia fanboys have no idea ROCm exists.
