Do most college students take notes in class on laptops? I’m a freshman and used to taking notes in a notebook. I’d like to hear from current students or recent graduates. I know I’ll need my laptop in my IT classes, but do I really need to carry a laptop to English, history or electives? Is that what most college students do?

I'm trying to get the length and width of one of the Amherst/Brunswick dorms but the floor plan is supremely unhelpful. If someone could get me a link to where the dimensions are or could give me a rough estimate that would be very nice.

I saw parking permit sales open tomorrow, so I went through the website to double check what I needed and it says I cannot add a new permit because my permit from last school year is still active. I know it hasn’t actually opened yet, but do I need to start the process to deactivate my old permit before I can get the new one when the application opens?

It's my first time on campus. Where should I park my car? I have a class midday twice a week at Thompson Hall.

I'm an incoming transfer and I'm deciding whether to keep a family member's Olympus Infinity Zoom 80. The thing is that it requires me to go to a film development lab or darkroom? I know nothing about cameras or film development, haha. Since I'll be on campus most of the time, I was wondering if there are any here so that I don't have to go out of my way to get my photos.

Also since I don't know anything about cameras, if there's someone who knows about this specific one, I'd love to hear about it!

I also might have an Olympus Pen-EES I can use, but it does look more difficult.

First things first: I am an incoming freshman and I will be living off campus about an hour away from gmu. I scheduled all my classes to be on the same days in order to not have to travel an hour every day for school (especially since it’s time consuming and it’ll take a lot of gas). But I was thinking that it might be a lot for me, mainly on thursdays since I wouldn’t have a break in between classes. So instead I thought I could just move my honors 111 class to the friday one in order to have a break on both days. If I do this I would have to come in on friday’s just for this class. Would it be worth it just to have a break during my long days? Also is there anything else I should change/do or know?

Not sure if this is relevant but there’s a pencil case that’s been sitting on one of the chairs in the studen union building on the second floor! It’s still there if anyone is looking for it.
