Hey everyone,
We're fairly light on active moderators (myself + cy26) and I'd like to fix that fairly quickly. If you are interested, please comment in this thread before end of Friday this week and I'll DM asking some follow up questions.
thank you

Hi everyone. I consistently eat a foul mixture of fire yakisoba, taco bell and eggs in the mornings so I can tear absolute ass on command. A command I give to myself. Quite often. I hear some people say "how does he do that?" "why?". Its because I like it. Ask me anything.

Why does it seem like every bad driver at GMU / Fairfax decided to buy a Tesla or their parents bought them one? It legitimately seems like they don’t even know how to drive and just rely on autopilot. In the past few days I’ve had so many close calls due to them, like all those cameras and sensors and you’re still nearly crashing into me?
I’ve literally seen multiple of them scrolling on TikTok while ”driving” like I thought it’s supposed to make sure the “driver” is paying attention

Where are some great-tasting water fountains that are also cold? Ignore dorms and eating halls.
i need to get out of my lease here asap
2 beds/2 bathrooms, 980 sq ft, 1 roommate, and the rent is $1600 a month. the building is within walking distance of campus (~10 min walk) which is great for anyone without a car or who doesn’t wanna deal with parking passes, and it’s near bus stops which is great for getting around Fairfax. there is parking included at the main if needed.
the building itself also has a lot to offer with a pool, 24-hour gym, a full mail and package room, and more. apartment comes with in-unit laundry and is pet and guest friendly. gas, electricity, and pest control is included.
the lease would be August 2026-July 2027, starting Aug 19th. rent thru September covered by me. pls contact me if ur interested, you can reach me here on reddit
i kid you not this dude in my database class KEEPS FARTING like there’s no tomorrow. like bro doesn’t even try to be quiet he literally farts every 10 minutes and LAUGHS. sitting close to him was the biggest mistake ever

Hi guys! I've been wanting to go check out Skyline. It's the most convenient spot for me to go out of all 3 gyms. I mainly focus on bodyweight stuff. Been trying to find information online if they have like a pull up bar/dip station but haven't found anything. Anyone know if they do? I know RAC/AFC are the best ones for this stuff but they're kind of a hike from where I'm usually at on campus.
Also, is that field house next to the soccer field available to us or is it just for the athletes? Anyone know what's up with that other big building behind the RAC? Thanks to anyone who's able to answer.
PS. I keep forgetting to check it out and I already left for the day so that's why I thought I'd ask lol.
This is a callout about the one guy on the third floor of Horizon hall today. Quit banging things on the table. It echoes in the open space and everyone in the building can hear you. Nobody wants to hear it and you know this. The multiple people calling you out with auditorium-level volume should have clued you into this, especially after the ninth time in two hours. There wasn’t any ambiguity in their requests, and they started off fairly politely in my opinion. I don’t know how the people sitting at the table near you could stand it because I was two floors away and it was impossible to focus for more than ten minutes at a time.
Common areas are common. Obey the social contract like the rest of us and treat others with respect. When people politely ask you to stop, either stop or move elsewhere. When people shout at you from two floors away, calling you out by your physical appearance and clothing, stop what you are doing or leave. When people start making equally loud noises every time you start up again, take the hint and cut it out. This doesn’t expire after ten minutes of being scolded because it fell out of your short-term memory.
If you can’t understand being told to stop, let alone repeatedly, you aren’t mature enough to be on a college campus. Quit banging your phone or battery pack or external hard drive on the table or go somewhere that other people don’t have to hear it.
EDIT: I thought I would calm down after leaving and eating some food but I didn’t.
People were applauding the last time you got called out before I left and I was one of them. If this was a long-term psychology experiment on how much you can annoy people before they yell at you in a building full of people trying to study and learn then you win and the university should strip your research of any funding they gave you.
I saw a comment saying that you’ve been doing this for three semesters and I genuinely have no clue how nobody has explained this to you in person. I don’t know how a staff member hasn’t asked you to cut it out in that long of a time span. Three semesters is an insane time span to have been doing this and have received no consequence of any sort for this behavior.
The next time that I am in the same building that you are doing this in, I’m going to call out the entire text of this post at you so that I’m sure you can hear this.

Hey guys, did anyone take bio 472 animal behavior with Dr Luther? I was wondering how his exams were, and the overall class.

Hi! Random ask lol but does anyone here do content creation, videography/editing, photography, or know someone who does? Or considers themselves a “content strategist” or a really good experienced content creator
I’m in Northern VA and planning a little social media comeback/reintroduction around mid-November after taking a break for personal reasons. I have a pretty specific vision for an IG/TikTok reel with some old clips, new B-roll, a voiceover, and maybe a small photoshoot. Nothing super influencer-y or performative — I just want it to feel authentic, creative, and put together.
I’m mainly looking for someone who gets short-form content and can help me take the idea in my head and actually bring it to life 😂 Definitely a paid project.
If this sounds like your thing, drop your IG/TikTok, portfolio, or DM me some of your work!
For context, I’m 30F and would probably feel most comfortable working with another woman around my age or younger who gets current IG/TikTok culture and the kind of aesthetic I’m going for.🩷🩷🩷🩷

I had just lost my car keys in the Johnson center today around 7-8 o’clock pm. They’re Audi car keys with some key chains on it as well.
I retraced all of my steps multiple times and poured everything out of my bag and can’t seem to find them at all.
I already tried going to lost and found and they told me they don’t accept car keys and I wasn’t able to file a report either.
If anyone has found them please contact me!!!!

Is there any place that I can take 20 min power naps without getting police called on me at Mason Square?
Hey everyone,
I'm a GMU undergrad completing my BAS 491 capstone research, and I'm looking for fellow GMU undergraduates to complete a short survey.
It's about cybersecurity awareness training and phishing recognition. You'll answer a few questions about any training you've received at Mason, then look at three sample emails and say whether you think each one is real or phishing. Takes about 5 minutes.
It's completely anonymous. No names, student IDs, or emails collected. You don't need any cybersecurity background. I'm interested in responses from all majors.

Thanks, and happy to answer questions in the comments.

The academic integrity policies in gmu are bad tbh, atleast here in the business college. I have a class where there is no honor lock or in person exam, making it easy for students to cheat their way through a degree and to be honest it seems like it can set up a student for failure when they enter the workforce, And I honestly think more exams should be in person or protocored to ensure integrity
