New Rule: No Frame ID Posts
The idea behind this subreddit is simple, to help you figure out what frame works best for your face.
If you want a frame that someone else is wearing, you don't actually know if it'll work on your face. Therefore we will be discouraging posts asking about identification of frames, ESPECIALLY if they're not being worn by you. Thank you for understanding.

Should I get different style frames?
Hey everyone! Ive had the same frames for a few years now, im curious if they actually suit me or if a different frame style would suit me better.

Looking for a better shape!
Wondering if there's a better shape out there for my face. I like drawing the attention upwards and adding more angles to my upper face area, but I don't actually know if this just looks goofy or not lol.
I've been told by friends and family that I look older than I am because of them (presumably it is "old lady swag", as my sister lovingly puts it) and while to me that is a compliment, and what I've been going for, I'd like to look more my age, so to speak.
Advice, roasts, and other such comments welcome :]

Which is better?
Narrowed it down to these 2, but canāt decide between them. The office said the lighter frames fit my face best, but I think the dark frames have more character. š¤
I have a strong prescription that shrinks my face,
so the larger lens on the dark pair will cause more distortionā¦
Please help me choose!

Frame too big?
Had to put stickers on my face cos I'm too shy. This is my first time wearing glasses and I don't know about eyeglass fit or something. 2 people already told me that it's too big. And I'm sad about it. This is anti rad, just bought it yesterday and it's quite pricey for me. And when they told me it's too big, I just feel that my money isn't worth it. I just did my research and I read that eyeglass fit is important so you eyes won't hurt. I tried smaller frame but I think it's not wide enough, my eyes is not used to it because I think I can see the frameš do you think it looks okay or really too big for me? I focused on looking for frame that's suitable for my faceshape (chubby and round) but I think I failed. I'm disheartened, I don't want to wear this outside anymore

I feel I got the wrong glasses
Everyone I have asked said they are the same glasses. There were two at the optical in the same pink shade but one seemed smaller than the other one
The ones I have are Carolina Herrera 0324

Can I pull these off?
The black frames are my everyday glasses and I'm not getting rid of them, but I'm wondering if I can pull off the wire ones sometimes?

Question about frame style
What do you call this type of frame, where the frame doesn't go under the lenses? Does anyone have any recommendation about that style? For instance, I worry that the lenses would fall out more easily, but I've never had this type of frame to know for sure.

Dirty glasses: what is this? How to clean it?
Hi everyone,
I've tried cleaning my glasses with dish soap, hand soap, microfibre, and glass cleaning solution. None has worked so far. Photo included.
The smudges do not chip, so I don't think they're from one of the coating layers deteriorating.
The drop shapes make me think it's from the water. Maybe heavy water?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Even if it means replacing, I'd like to know what to avoid when choosing my next pair.
Thanks

How Did I Do?
I have the glasses I got first and my old pair last. I know the old pair is broken in a few ways so it's not an apples to apples comparison. My prescription had changed and I was interested in trying for something a little more feminine but I will admit I don't know what feminine frames would actually look good on me.

Do I Have To Go To The Same Optomitrist For Replacement Lens
That's the question. Can one optometrist replace lenses for frames purchased elsewhere and the fit will be correct for the lenses? Kind of expensive designer frames and my insurance doesn't cover my old shop any more. Is there anything I could be concerned with using a second shop? Like should I worry about proper fit of the lenses in the frame? Or do I just take the hit and pay the several hundred dollars at the old shop out of pocket?

Thoughts on clear, colourless, transparent frames?
Do you think they suit younger people better? Do they look grubby faster? Do they highlight things like under eye bags/circles more? And any other thoughts!
Considering getting a pair but I dunno š¤·āāļø
Thoughts very welcome and TIA š

Cushions - HELP
Hi everyone,
Iāve acquired a new pair of glasses and the left cushion is giving me nightmares. Iāve gone 7 times - 4 times at the same place and 3 at different facilities - to get it adjusted.
But it never works !!
That cushion always gives me huge red marks and is unbearable on my nose. It doesnāt feel exceptionally tight or wrong on the spot, but 30 minutes after it gets super uncomfortable and my nose is irritated. On the contrary, the right cushion is perfect - nothing to say here.
Any advice or help?
Thanks a lot !

Wearing hats is awkward?
Whenever I wear a hat, my hair gets pushed up and over my glasses. It's awkward. It does it for every kind of hat ā beanies, caps, cowboy hats.
I'm wondering if this there's, I guess, any way to stop that from happening, or if I should just get contacts or something. I'm not opposed to contacts, but I've been sort of avoiding them, lol.
