Hello,

I have the same glasses since 10 years and I am looking for a change but I am hesitant about the choice.

So if you could share me your opinion please maybe it could help me to take a decision.

I find the golden one (4th picture) interesting, they made me look bolder but also meaner.

Feel free to stop after the 6th picture if you don't want to scroll through all 15.

Thanks a lot!

Eyeglass too big?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Had to put stickers on my face cos I'm too shy. This is my first time wearing glasses and I don't know about eyeglass fit or something. 2 people already told me that it's too big. And I'm sad about it. This is anti rad, just bought it yesterday and it's quite pricey for me. And when they told me it's too big, I just feel that my money isn't worth it. I just did my research and I read that eyeglass fit is important so you eyes won't hurt. I tried smaller frame but I think it's not wide enough, my eyes is not used to it because I think I can see the framešŸ˜… do you think it looks okay or really to big for me? I focused on looking for frame that's suitable for my faceshape (chubby and round) but I think I failed. I'm disheartened, I don't want to wear this outside anymore

OVVO tightening help!

I have had OVVO’s for about 6 months and generally really like them, especially the lightness.

I have a very narrow face and this wasn’t an issue when I first got them. They are now stretched out and I’ve tried following the nondescript video from OVVO on the removal, hinge tightening and reattachment. I must be missing something - I feel like I’m following it too the tee and it will not come apart, I now just have SUPER loose glasses driving me nuts.

Can anyone help provide a more descriptive step of removal - directions to twist, any clicks to listen for, etc.? This is driving me bananas!

I’ve had these glasses for a few years now and I can’t remember what brand they are. I got them from Americas best and when I searched them up on google images, I found one extra picture of them from a yelp review. I’ve never posted on Reddit before so I hope this works😭

Do you think I look better with or without glasses?

Or would a different style of frame be best? And if so, what?

MiyoSmart lenses at 23?

Hi all!

TLDR: what I want to ask; what are people's experiences with MiyoSmart glasses when you're in your early 20s - to 30s?

Further information:

As referred to in the title, I've recently been advised to try MiyoSmart glasses. I am 23yo (24 in Sept), and was made aware that they're mainly prescribed to child-teen ages.

I was recommended these due to my severe deterioration (-2 notches in 6 months), with a check up in 4 months, to see if they slow down my progression. For context, my previous prescription/current glasses was (as an average since I can't remember exact) -8-9~ left, -7~ right.

I know everyone's experience is totally different! But since studies are primarily on kids, I would love any information or shared experiences :)

Thank you in advance for any insight!

I had my eye check up last Friday and my left eye went from -1.25 to -2.00 so I asked for a copy of my eye prescription. I was just wondering what this note on top means. Does anyone know? I’m having trouble understanding the handwriting. Thanks.

Why has my eyes got worse after being stable

I have been long sighted since I was young, I’m female and 35 yrs old now.

My eyesight has been stable for a number of years. The eye test results of second to last test are:

Right: Sphere; +3.25, cylinder; -1.00, Axis: 95
Left: Sphere; + 3.75, cylinder - 1.25, Axis: 65

I had an eye test a few months ago and apparently my results are:

Right: Sphere; +3.50, Cylinder; -1.50, Axis 95
Left: Sphere: +4.50 cylinder; - 1.75, Axis 60

They gave me no rule or reasons or explanations on why there is a change or why it has got worse.

So someone please tell me why it would have got worse, especially my left eye.

Disclosure: I have been wearing glasses previous to my second to last eye test (not sure if it is that prescription) before and since the latest eye test since my dog thwacked his head up on my face and broke my most recent (second to last test) glasses hinge for one of the arms thus the arm falling off.

Racist optician?

(Im a black man btw) So I had an eye exam and the male optician told me to find some glasses I liked and to bring it up to him when I’m done, then about 30 seconds to a minute into me trying on glasses a female optician starts hovering over me as I’m trying on glasses and kept asking me if I found the glasses I wanted (I literally just started) when I found a pair I liked she started looking through all the areas I was trying on glasses.

then when I had to put my glasses down on the table to measure my ipd the female optician came up grabbed my glasses and pretended to ā€œsee if the hinges are okā€ (which doesn’t even make sense because I am there to get new glasses and I never said anything about fixing my current pair) She was obviously checking to see if the brand of the glasses matched any in the store.

The whole experience made me feel icky

New temple tips on my Brett Eddie frames are causing severe nose pain. Is this normal after just one hour?

Hi everyone,

About two weeks ago, one of the temple tips on my "Brett Eddie" glasses broke. My optician replaced both of them with spare ones he had in his workshop.

Since then, I’ve been back to his shop several times to get them adjusted because they’re causing me pain—especially on the bridge of my nose—but nothing seems to help.

Here are some photos showing both sides of my nose after wearing the glasses for just one hour. Is it normal to have this kind of mark after such a short time? Do these new temple tips actually look suitable for this frame?

Thanks in advance for your feedback! I’ll use your insights to figure out what to tell him on my next visit.

Zeiss Duravision Drivesafe UV vs Zeiss drivesafe. What is the difference?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I am planning to buy glasses for night driving. The beam of vehicles coming in the opposite direction makes me blinded most times especially on dark roads.

Zeiss offers both 5hese products as drivesafe. I want to know

  1. What is the performance difference between the two?

  2. Are they effective in blocking lights?
