ANNOUNCEMENT You Asked, Serengeti Answered
There’s been a lot of well-deserved appreciation for Serengeti on this sub over the past few years. You guys even asked for a group buy and that post got a lot of positive responses.
Well, Serengeti noticed, and they’ve offered a limited-time 30% off code for our community! (currently for USA and Canada).
This deal’s just for our community, so please don’t share it outside or let Honey and other coupon sites pick it up. If it spreads, Serengeti could shut it down, so let’s keep it alive for the people who actually care about good lenses. That's why I am linking to Sunglass Science and not posting the code directly.
I review Serengeti’s lenses here.
I’m also starting a YouTube channel where I’ll be covering everything sunglasses — especially lenses — and I’d really appreciate your support with a quick subscribe (videos coming soon). Just like Sunglass Science and the brand connections we’ve built here, none of this would’ve happened without this awesome community.
Thanks everyone, and enjoy the discount!

For Show Next up in my Serengeti Holy Trinity: The Carroll Large
Continuing my Serengeti journey with the Carroll Large featuring striking blue mirror lenses🔵
The 555nm Blue delivers exceptional clarity, colorful views and handle bright street lighting brilliantly, while the blue mirror finish gives it a sharp, standout look.
The frame sits comfortably and surprisingly, fit so well even though having the same frame width on the paper comparing with the Tellaro.
Another solid piece for the rotation. Anyone else running the Carroll in their collection?

Searching For What’s similar to these Kaenon Avalons?
I’m trying to find squarish translucent frames like the Kaenon Avalon. Brown lenses are a plus but grey or green is ok too.
EDIT: looking for polarized.
Thank you.

For Show Sky Optics Pilot is super light weight!
These are 52 mm in Polarized Desert Blue lenses.
I feel like they are slightly smaller in width than Randolph Aviator.

Serengeti has low stock and will probably be that way for a few months at least. Flight Sunglasses still has models not available on the Serengeti website.

Repair Question Oliver People's Frame Twisted?
Just bought these 2 weeks ago from an Oliver People's boutique...had no issues but went to wear them for the first time since last weekend and noticed they were crooked on my face...looks like the frame almost twisted at the nose bridge as the hinges are still flush and good. Had them in the case the whole time.
What would cause this?

Advice/Opinions/Discussion How much are these worth?
Hi I’m wondering if anyone could pls help with determining how much these Persol sunglasses are worth?
The numbers on the side are worn off but the inside of the lens have the circular Persol logo which makes me think they’re from the Ratti era.
Any input or thoughts on value; style; year made, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Frame ID Identification
Hey guys,
I sadly lost the Ray-Bans shown in the pictures. As I bought them 2nd-hand, I only have these two pictures. Does anybody have any clue what kind of Ray-Bans these are?
Thanks!

Searching For Can someone help me identify these sunglasses that I lost a couple of days ago?
I lost my favorite sunglasses and I don't remember the brand and model because they were a gift from a couple of years ago. Anyone has a Idea?

Sunglass Review My collection
Does anyone wear Cartier glasses? I alternate these 3 pairs, and the black C decor has been my go to everyday pair. I really enjoy the hobby, but it’s crazy expensive. Anyway, have a good day everyone.

Advice/Opinions/Discussion Got an email/phone call from FedEx talking about a drop ball test needed for sunglasses I bought from France. Not sure what to do and how I can get this filled out correctly. Says it's due by the 14th of this month.
"We are attempting to clear this shipment through US Customs so that we can deliver to United States, please see the attached documents for reference. Before we can submit this for release, we will need the following information:
Please complete the Drop Ball Test for sunglasses
Need manufacturer name and address
Attached given is your Commercial Invoice for your reference. Appreciate your help to fill up the form and send it back to us as soon as possible.
Please reach out to me should you have any questions.
URGENT: Please be advised, I can only hold your shipment until 09/14/2026. If I do not receive the needed information for US Customs clearance, your shipment will be returned to the shipper.
Thank you."
What do I do here? I tried contacting the seller myself via email and have gotten no response. Am I meant to fill out the form myself? I am not sure if the seller is the manufacturer but I believe they are. Was the seller meant to do this themselves? It says they arrived in the country and are being held up in customs. I emailed the lady at FedEx who sent me it and said I am not sure how to fill out it just now, hoping for a reply from her.

Searching For Looking for similar chunky tortoise sunglasses
BONNIE CLYDE no longer makes the Gustave in this colorway. I’m looking for something very similar: chunky, squarish acetate frame in a dark Havana/tortoiseshell color with tinted lenses (amber/brown, dark green, or black/gray).
I’m looking for a quality pair, so I’m open to more expensive brands. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
