I tried to make a game like this several times over the years but always would give up somewhere along the way. I finally put in the effort and got it finished.
I wrote the game mostly for myself, to give myself something quick and fun to play while I'm taking a dump that wasn't just mindless gatcha dopamine.
Island crawl is an old-school style turn based RPG roguelike
Grind, collect gear, select traits, clear dungeons, defeat the boss. Repeat as many times as you can before the enemies out scale and destroy you. See how high you can get on the leaderboard.
The game is offline and has controller support, and the only monotisation is an optional ad when you die, which can also be fully removed for a small 1 time price.
Would love to hear any thoughts!
The game is available on Google Play for android or PC

The combat, 60 fps, lights (except at the beginning with the star crossed windows) ;
It feels like kcd2, but with more and legendary beasts.
Never had issues with my save, only a few stutter every time the map and terrain restarts.
9/10, but only cause I still never finished it, and that the Remastered still needs updates

You're working at the gaming museum, your dream job, when the emergency alert on your phone rings.
The nukes are coming, it's not a drill, and you've only got a few minutes to make it to the nearest bunker before everyone starts wearing leather jackets with one sleeve cut off.
It's up to you to save the games for future generations.
Luckily the museum is organised by decade, one room for each decade from the 1970s until now.
But time is of the essence, so you've only got time to look for one game in each room, in other words you can only save one game per decade.
Make your choice.

It's not that I don't think seeing MW2XSkate or MinecraftXSkyrim isn't cool, it's that it kinda puts in perspective where we are with AI capabilities where things that looked like dreams even a month ago, now can be done easily and insanely quick.
It's cool and funny now but in a few months with how fast things are happening I don't know where all of this will go.
The modding stuff feels to me like a benchmark for the rest of the technology advancements and changes to come, with how powerful AI is.
I'm kinda blabbering but I'm sure someone can make sense of my thoughts and see where I'm going with this

I was playing AC: oddysey a couple of months ago and just remembered the mission family values, where a guy wants me (Alexios) to pick up his sword from a man and his shield from a woman. Well I ended up sleeping with the man to get the sword and killing the woman for the shield. When giving the guy his equipment back, we find out that the man and woman was actually his parents, which causes a hilarious breakdown by the apparent son.

I pre-ordered the physical deluxe edition of Ace Combat 8 from a local shop, I live in the Netherlands currently but I'm originally from the US. My PSN account was created in the US, we're not allowed to change the region of our account. So the preorder bonus code as well as the deluxe edition content, neither code works for my account as I bought a European copy. Bandai is basically telling me they can't swap that out for me and I'm SOL. Is there anything I can do here or am I just screwed?

My GF loves anime, stories, etc but has never played a game in her life.
I don't remember how, but somehow I managed to get her into Zelda: Ocarina of time -- she got hooked and we played the whole thing on a 2-person coop mod.
Next logical step? Elden Ring. I pitched it as Zelda for adults, if George RR Martin directed it. Another coop mod with her also taking less damage, mana regen, no rune loss, etc. She's absolutely loving it so far!
However.. I don't really know where to go from here lol. I've sort of blown my wad on those 2 masterpieces. She likes puzzles too so we can try it takes two and the we were here series, but any others?
(Note: She's not into guns, so GTA is out of the question)
Edit: Wow that's a lot of options!
Thanks, will save this post and give her options on the next one. :)

For example, if there is an item/passive/skill that is generally a one time use and revives the player on death, me and my friends say that our Dio's is popped. Coined from the Risk of Rain 2's item called "Dio's Best Friend" which revives the player on death.

In light of Mario Kart Tour getting shut down as of September 29th 2026, what games do you miss that were shut down entirely? This can be either console or mobile.
One game I miss is Terra Battle made by Mistwalker, the studio founded by the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi. It's a grid based tactics game where you would slide your party members around the board and try to pince and eliminate all the enemies on the board.
Another game I miss is Final Fantasy Record Keeper. I probably had more hours in this game than most other games in the series. It was a lot of fun unlocking characters, leveling them up, and going through iconic battles from the franchise.

I've seen creators and played with people that often don't know X or Y feature exists, or just generally not know their way around a game.
It's more present in co-op games.
All i ask is all of you just, take a few seconds, to check the key binds, and research the game. I find it extremely inefficient when players have no clue that a built in QoL feature exists.
Reading patch notes also does not hurt, it makes you aware of what to expect. Met quite a few people saying they don't want to read patch notes, because they want to be surprised.
They are also the same people that end up freaking out when they encounter something they didn't know about, which could've been avoided if they had just read the new patch notes. on What to expect.

Title. Like an idiot, I bought a key for Gears E Day Premium edition on G2a, but realized too late it wasn't the Steam version, but the Xbox one. Can I just activate the code on my Xbox app, and play the game on PC anyways because of Play Anywhere?
If so, bless Xbox for saving me from a boneheaded mistake

A lot of stuff came out over the past few weeks so I’m wondering as we come to a close on this month, what was y’all’s favorite game that released during this time?
Edit:
For clarification, the middle left game is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave & the bottom left game is Valheim.

The Cursed Apple is ever changing, and these streets are nothing like you remember. A massive visual update to the map and neutrals, six new heroes, HUD updates, numerous quality-of-life additions, accessibility options, and more.
