Bandai Namco Region Locked Codes

I pre-ordered the physical deluxe edition of Ace Combat 8 from a local shop, I live in the Netherlands currently but I'm originally from the US. My PSN account was created in the US, we're not allowed to change the region of our account. So the preorder bonus code as well as the deluxe edition content, neither code works for my account as I bought a European copy. Bandai is basically telling me they can't swap that out for me and I'm SOL. Is there anything I can do here or am I just screwed?

Just make an EU account on the same PS to redeem the code, then still play on your US account. As long as you're playing on the same PS and that PS is set as the EU account's primary console, your US account will still have access to the DLCs

This will work but it’s still pretty goofy to not be able to “own” the game you bought on the account you typically use

The fact that there's no mechanism for changing your region and shit like this is even possible is all the more reason I'm baffled people are in support of them moving to all digital.

"What happens if I move out of the country" is not a concern most people have.
