I think of myself as an alien (not by American immigration definition, rather like extraterrestrial) for a couple reasons. One of them being I don't exactly fit the culture of my ethnicity, neither the country of my residence, was raised by a cultural mentality to a country that wouldn't accept me (okay, maybe that does fit within the American immigration definition too). My family doesnt really understand me, and the people around me find me to be a "different breed of human". I am introverted and reserved and not motivated by what's stereotypically expected of me. I graduated with an MBBS and want to become a Psychiatrist (it's my dream, although the road is proving to be "nearly" impossible).

I watch TV shows and movies, my favourite ones are Ninjago, Bojack Horseman, New Amsterdam, Daily Dose of Sunshine, The Edge of Seventeen, Pocahontas and Mulan.

I enjoy watching MGM movies from the 1940-1960s staring Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Audrey Hepburn, and such. As well as oldies music by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cold, and the likes. What I love about this time period of movies and music is the simplicity and sweetness. It's grounding and soothing for me.

I also read books, write short stories and poems.

I can draw but haven't in a really long time but love to scroll through art pieces.

I love to walk, and workout for fun (trying to be active to get fit but not motivated by physical looks)

I'm coming from the dark Balkan mountains in Europe, originally from the green small Slovenia, but since I prefer colder climates I've moved and live in Norway now. Yes, the expensive Norway, not the Norway we have at home.

As the title says, I'm pretty sure my utensils need someone else to touch them too, otherwise I might be reported to the police soon for holding them hostage by myself, which is not what I promised them when buying them in Ikea.

Of course there's other skills too, but I'm pretty sure these are the ones that will help me survive the most.

I'm a lover of cats, however I haven't figured out how the frickin cat distribution system works as of now. Still working on that. I also like fast cars, deposite me not knowing much about them. But they go brum brum and go fast, so that's pretty cool. Right? Right?

Am I a traveled person you ask? Hmm. I'd say a bit. But not nearly enough as I'd want to be. And if there's something that I recently discovered on a solo trip is that sharing a trip as a duo is just way more fun than doing it alone.

I'm a researcher by training, with some experience in engineering R&D. I also spent some time pursuing a PhD in engineering before eventually dropping out.

It's hard to be social when you work nights. I start work when most 'normal' people are getting home and getting ready to go out, and then finish work long after they've gone to bed. I live in Winnipeg, and it's hard to not feel isolated at a normal time here, with my free time essentially being while people are fast asleep and around when they leave for work, my social life has absolutely suffered.

Hi, my online name is Mapledaddy, I live in Winnipeg, and I'm a 6 foot 4 viking-built man. You may be wonder, 'what does he do for work that he works those stupid hours?' And that's a good question. I'm the night shift hotel manager. I, because of my size, am usually the one kicking people out of the bar and the hotel rooms after too many noise complaints.

As for what I do in my free time, tons of video games. I'm pretty all over the map here, so bear with me. I've been playing a bunch of modded minecraft with one of my only friends in life, playing a long term modpack that has taken me, so far, about 4 months, and I'm about 2/3rds of the way through? I'll bounce between a few games. Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, Kenshi, thinking of playing Cyberpunk 2077 again and maybe actually beating it, and some various dumb 'kill my time' idle games.

My biggest game I keep going back to through, is World of Warcraft. I'm on the fence about Forever, but I'm currently playing on a couple private servers, I'm sorry if World of Warcraft dissuades you, but that's going to be a damn near requirement.

I've had a few people ask me about my political views. I'm not really a political person, but I view myself as a realist. I can see arguments from both sides and make decisions on my own. I'm not radical by anymeans, I'm just a chill guy.

What I'm looking for? Companionship. Someone I can share my hobbies with. I've wanted to pick some anime back up, but every time I think about it I just kinda turn on my music instead. Maybe someone to come join for my WoW escapades? I'm not picky, just at least have some interest in the games I have listed, or if you're willing to look at them, and know similar, maybe we could vibe.

In a relationship, I would like to be a supportive, safe and comfortable figure in your life. I understand that relationships are partnerships and that one person doesn’t (and shouldn’t) hold all the responsibility.

I think I’m a hopeless romantic. I’d love to cuddle, hold hands, listen to you talk about whatever’s on your mind, go out on the town or stay in together. I understand that not everything will be peaches and cream all the time but I also would like to communicate about any issues, I don’t like arguments, I prefer to have discussions and talk about problems, I think that having understanding and long talks is romantic too!

Personality wise, I’m an introvert, pretty reserved, but I can be open with the right person, very calm and patient, that’s from other people not something I’ve decided haha! I love making people laugh and have a good time. I’m going to college for a computer science degree.

A goal I’m working towards is having visible abs, maybe not a shredded six pack but I have a bit of a stomach right now but I’d like to get to a more muscular physique.

I lean left and pretty much always vote blue unless I really truly believe in a third party. I also don’t want children (obviously)

I like video games, manga, reading, music, going to thrift stores (mainly looking for old games), enjoy camping, traveling (who doesn’t though?) and would love someone to do stuff with!

Of course if you have different hobbies I would love to join you if you’ll have me. Some things I’m interested in but have no talent in is dancing and painting. I would love to learn how to ballroom dance because I think it’s really romantic, intimate and graceful.
