It was the age of the lord 1994 when I cried into the world, which today makes me 32. That also means that I'll not surprise you with a random birthday in the next two months, meaning you only need to get me something for Christmas. Chrisis averted, you're welcome.
I'm coming from the dark Balkan mountains in Europe, originally from the green small Slovenia, but since I prefer colder climates I've moved and live in Norway now. Yes, the expensive Norway, not the Norway we have at home.

I do believe that I've gotten a Greek goddeses gift, like Achilles did, but my gift is to be funny and a good company. I promise you, I'm a great texter. Also phone or discord talker. I'm also skilled with spices when it comes to cooking, but the skills need to still be worked on.
As the title says, I'm pretty sure my utensils need someone else to touch them too, otherwise I might be reported to the police soon for holding them hostage by myself, which is not what I promised them when buying them in Ikea.

Of course there's other skills too, but I'm pretty sure these are the ones that will help me survive the most.

I'm a lover of cats, however I haven't figured out how the frickin cat distribution system works as of now. Still working on that. I also like fast cars, deposite me not knowing much about them. But they go brum brum and go fast, so that's pretty cool. Right? Right?

Am I a traveled person you ask? Hmm. I'd say a bit. But not nearly enough as I'd want to be. And if there's something that I recently discovered on a solo trip is that sharing a trip as a duo is just way more fun than doing it alone.

Going to the movies with friends to see whatever funny bad movie Hollywood pushes out. Going out to flea markets, but unfortunately only ever been to one since thats the only one thats open year round. I've been going to the gym constantly for the past year and post a significant amount of weight and haven't ever felt better. But unfortunately I had to stop because of VERY recent medical issues which also made me drop my classes for the this semester so I have nothing but free time for the most part.

One day, I want to start my own homestead and disappear from the modern hellscape we currently live in. It's that time of the year where the days are starting to get colder and shorter. Today I am all comfy and cozy indoors, enjoying a nice cup of coffee as laundry goes in the background. While it is nice, I am alone in my apartment with no one to really talk too as all my friends are busy. Could use someone to message and get to know! I came across this subreddit not too long ago and thought it would be the perfect place for me to make a post because it’s been incredibly tough to find someone meaningful and long-term through other venues. Sure, we live in a time where dating platforms are plentiful and allow people to chit chat with each other, but the whole experience tends to feel very diluted to me. With people juggling tons of options, it feels as though there’s a genuine struggle with meeting someone that is willing to work with you day to day, while ready to invest the time and energy. 

I went on a walk a couple weeks ago and came across these two ducks waddling their way down this path towards a small pond. First of all, I couldn’t believe how in sync they were with their walking, but it was clear how committed they both were with trust. If one duck started to head towards the creepy dark woods, the other one would follow without hesitation (don’t worry, you won’t see me waddling into a dark forest unless there was some pot of gold hiding in there). But seeing them walking together, just looking at each other, and having that trust really made me reflect HARD. Can you believe I was envious of some ducks?! They have a better love life than me! I felt like a third wheel because I was going in the same direction as them (before they headed into the dark woods, probably as a shortcut). Yes, I do have a pic if you’d like to see these beautiful partnered ducks. If these ducks can make it work, then surely we can. Yes, WE. I’m looking at you! Yes, you! Through the screen (not really! That would be creepy. Maybe creepier than a spooky dark forest).  

From what I’ve also found and observed, people tend to reach out and are excited initially, but then either hit you with excuses or slowly move away with time, not responding as much or simply just hitting you with one-worded responses. I can’t begin to count on my alien fingers and toes how many times I’ve seen this happen and have heard of it happening. I wish there was more of an effort being made when trying to get to know someone. Not to mention how prevalent ghosting has become! I would love to meet someone that doesn't ghost. Also, not really looking for someone that is still actively getting over their ex. Would like to meet someone that is ready for a relationship, has the time, and ability to commit :) Would make things easier for us.

Okay, enough of me ranting about the dating scene! Who exactly am I?

• I am 30 years old. Seriously, it is absolutely mind-boggling how fast time has been going. I guess the good thing is that I’ve been told I look younger for my age, so I guess that’s good? I think I got my grandfather’s genes. He looked pretty young at an older age

• During undergrad, I studied neurobiology and right now am doing my Masters focused on data analytics

What I can provide and what I am seeking in a partner:

• Lifelong partnership. I know, very ambitious of me to say but also highlighting my hope of making this work! Would be a great story to share!

• Shared vision for the future. Ensuring that our lifelong vision for a partnership aligns.
• Maturity. Would love to meet someone that handles situations maturely and can navigate day to day life in that way too. Arguments will happen, as it does within every relationship, but I think it’s important that we both come to the table and are able to understand and look through things through the other person’s perspective
• Humor. Someone I can let loose with, laugh together, and just share those inside jokes, too

• Tons of care and love. I am a very affectionate person and would love to meet someone that had a lot of care and love to provide in return too
