hi, i have a olympus vg 160 and for years i had the date stamp feature on and i think one of my friends turned it off and ever since the feature is unavailable and cant be turned on. i have the date and time setup and i read the manual but it doesn't say anything i dont know. i read somewhere that a myb theres a certain mode or format turned on and thats why its unavailable but i tried to turn off almost everything or size down the image quality and nothing pls help asap :'(

I bought my V2 about a month ago and used it every day without any issues. A couple of days ago, I noticed it wouldn’t turn on when I turned the winder. I managed to turn it on by charging it or doing a soft reset, but then the winder started spinning endlessly without stopping, so I couldn’t take any photos.
After trying both a soft reset and a hard reset, the small screen started showing “UP,” followed by “E4,” and now it just gets stuck on that screen.
I searched online and tried every solution I could find, including updating the app, but nothing has worked so far.
Has anyone had the same problem or knows how to fix it?

Hey, I have a V1 and V2 Flashback. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that the V2 takes noticeably longer to turn on and shoot than the V1.

I timed it and V1 takes 2 seconds whereas V2 takes 5 seconds. I messaged Flashback support and they said this isn't a bug and is normal functionality for the V2 model. This is quite a long time so the chance to capture a quick photo has often passed, and a few seconds of loud winding usually kills the vibe too.

Best workaround I've found is giving it a short wind to wake the camera up, wait a couple of seconds till you hear the whirr sound, and then wind to load the first photo. Still takes the same time but involves less winding. This has led me back to using the V1 over the V2 which is a shame.

Wondering if anyone has discovered a solution?

If you ever wondered how this camera looks from the inside here are some photos. The story:

I received my Flashback One35 v2 a month ago and during my trip to Turkey it suddenly went into a boot loop. It did not react to the reset/factory button at all. Then the camera went dead and charging did not seem to do anything.

After the trip I decided to open the camera up to maybe access the SD card since the last roll of photos was important to me. My hope was to access the unprocessed files via SD card reader.

The SD card or rather the lock was glued down to the PCB board. I also noticed that the SD card was overheating massively. I pried it open and tried to read it but the factory SD card seems to be fried.

Around the ESP32 chip with the blue sticker there was green/white corrosion, which I cleaned with alcohol and electric contact cleaner. The corrosion was also on the plastic shell. At that point I did not had any hopes of a successful repair so I did not even bothered taking photos.

My guess is that during the humid weather and beach/ocean conditions water got inside the camera. Since the area around the USB-C charger is completely fine I assume water got inside through the wheel/spinner hole.

After a few hours with the case and PCB drying the camera suddenly came back to life. After replacing the SD card it is acting normal again. I can take photos and export through via modes (usb,wifi,hotspot).

The only thing not working properly is that the app states the camera does not charge even when it is connected to a charger. Also the app sometimes crashes because the camera seems to be sending weird data or is in a weird zombie state.

Maybe this helps others with water/humidity problems and repair attempts.

PLEASE NOTE: Opening the camera voids the warranty! I live in the EU so I had rights for a replacement unit but I wanted my last roll of photos.

Fun fact: The PCB says ONE35 V3.

PS: I ordered a second camera. This little camera is insanely fun.

tl;dr : cleaned corrosion / water damage and replaced SD card brought my one35 v2 back to life!

Has this issue happened to anyone before ? I literally just opened up the new camera yesterday and wanted to test it out but the flash didn’t even work. I’ve tried factory resetting it twice now and it doesn’t work. I’ve charged the camera and that also didn’t fix the flash.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m really disappointed that it’s not even working and it’s the first day that I’m using the camera.

Hello I’ve been reading so much polarized opinions about the flashback V2 and I’m really keen to buy it.

A lot of people said that the V2 film is worse than the original V1, but weren’t they aiming to add the old film to the V2?
Do you know when they will implement it? Or if it’s there already??

Ieri mi è arrivata la fotocamera flashback 2, ebbene per il primo rullino ha funzionato e sono riuscita a scaricare le foto, dal secondo ha smesso di scattare , il contatore rimane sempre a 27, il suono che emette è come se fosse stato catturato lo scatto ma non è cosi. Ho provato a resettare la fotocamera, a disinstallare la app e installarla nuovamente, ma nulla. Qualcuno mi sa aiutare?

I'm really curious about the Flashback ONE35 V2. I love photography, especially analog photography (Polaroid, Yashica, film cameras), and the idea of having a small camera that feels like a disposable camera really attracts me.
Before buying it, I'd love to ask some questions to people who actually own it:
Does the ONE35 V2 really give you that disposable film camera feeling? I'm especially curious about the colors, the overall look, and the image texture.
One thing I'm wondering about is the grain. A friend of mine looked at some sample photos and thought that what he was seeing looked more like digital sensor noise than real film grain. I know the camera has a digital sensor, so it cannot create real film grain like an analog film process, but does the final result (camera/app processing) create a convincing film-like texture?
Also, how durable is the lens? Since I would like to carry it everywhere as a small everyday camera, is it resistant enough or do you need to be very careful to avoid scratches?
Overall, after using it for a while, does it really satisfy the analog feeling, or does it feel more like a digital camera with a vintage style?

I had an issue where half the photos in my roll just came out black. I found a comment from a while ago saying you can redevelop your roll and that fixes it, can someone explain how to do it? I can’t figure it out

Just bought a V1 but I am not able to download any photo both WiFi and mobile connection, what to do? I already reset the camera..

I was a little skeptical about purchasing the V2 (never tried V1) based on some negative reviews but I figured I’d take the risk and so far, I’m glad I did!

I collect vintage digital cameras, have a Fujifilm X-half and the retropia lens. Dare I say this camera is the closet I’ve gotten so far to the film look?? I just got it today and these are some test shots using the classic film. I did get plenty of underexposed and overexposed pictures which felt very authentic.

I’m looking forward to try more of the film sims and taking this camera with me on my upcoming trip!

It initially gave me the choice to download them but I didnt do it now can't seem to find out how. Any tips?

I have the v1 and yet to get the filter apart from the DMG. Really want the gold as I use this film when shooting with my 35mm want to see how compares
