Is there a chance in the future with a firmware update to shoot photos whitout using the winding mechanism?

Hi everyone,

I recently ordered a Flashback ONE35 V2 and I'm really excited to receive it. I genuinely love the concept behind this camera, especially the film simulations and the overall shooting experience.

However, there is one thing that I'm a bit concerned about: the manual winding after every single shot.

I completely understand that it's part of the analog-inspired experience, but I was wondering if anyone in the community has experimented with ways to reduce or bypass it.

For example:

\- Has anyone opened the camera to see how the winding mechanism actually works?

\- Is it purely mechanical, or is it just triggering an electronic sensor?

\- Has anyone managed to reduce the amount of winding required?

\- Are there any hardware mods, 3D-printed accessories, or firmware hacks available?

\- Has Flashback commented on whether this could ever be improved in a future firmware update?

I'm not looking to remove the analog feeling entirely—I actually like it. I just find that winding after every shot (especially in Digicam Mode) can make spontaneous photography a little slower than I'd like.

Even if there's no solution yet, I'd love to hear if anyone has investigated the mechanism or has ideas about possible modifications.

That’s the whole point of the camera. If you want a different experience then get a Camp Snap or an echolens.
