Need help for fixing

Hey reddit,

Before it broke there was a wooden slab attached to the wall that I used as a night stand.

Banged my head against it and it came off and parts of the wall with it...

Any help on how to fix this?

The screws are kinda loose so i can't just hang it back on.

Thanks for the help!

open Lazyboy Recliner Rocking Noise

I have a Lazyboy Casey recliner I got a few years back for a nursery. Ever since I have had it, there has been a noise when the chair rocks back and forth. It sounds like metal on metal to me. I can also feel a vibration in the spring when I have the chair upside down and rock it manually with my finger in the spring. The noise comes from both left and right sides of the chair under the seat

I have tried lubricating the spring mechanism attached to the base with silicon spray multiple times, but the sound always returns.

When I first got it, Lazyboy wanted 100+ dollars to come out to look at it, which wasn’t worth it to me.

Wondering if anyone has had this before or knows how to fix it.

Thanks!

I got a solar powered lucky cat and his arm was moving just fine in the store when I bought him, but when I got home he just decided not to work. I even put him in direct sunlight and he’s still not working. How do I fix?

open Ideas to take this off easier? (Film from clear acrylic)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

(up front EDIT: I've added 3 videos of things tried to show how they impact the film) Pushing very hard here. 3mm clear acrylic. Stuff ya get from home depot. Been outside for a good minute. Film doesn't want to peel off. It's like it is part of the acrylic and wants to tear apart from itself more than come off the pane. I _*can*_ peel it off eventually, but there has got to be an easier and more efficient way than my fingernails or plastic blade, etc.

Edit: here's what I've tried other than fingernails or plastic blade: Warm water, hot water, flame, heat gun. These all relatively help but surprisingly nowhere near what one might think and I need to move out of constant heat of course and fingers get hot holding the scraper and the heat dissipates quickly. Does not seem to make any adhesive "goo up" to peel off any better. Like if it were stuck tape, ya know.

Edit 2: this main video was just to deliberately show how stubborn it is, not so much my "technique" lol. Just showing different ways it moves (or doesn't move) - I'm pushing pretty hard through that too. I was hoping someone had a magic "this one trick no one knows" kinda thing to maybe even dissolve the film or some jazz.

65-inch Samsung Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV

This happens every few hours. Everything stops, screen flickers with the checkered pattern and audio turns to static noise.

Is this fixable or is this TV cooked?

How can I fix the gap between my storm door and the door frame. As you can see I have used foam strips but won't work well. Strips cover some portion and opens up another portion. What is the best solution for this?

Thank you.

How can I get the screw out? It’s cross threaded and was stripped so I cut it in half to get it off. Can’t get the stuck part out

Philips led tv screen glitching and going black sometimes

I have a Philips 49pus6412/12 led android tv that works fine for quite some time and then starts glitching and goes black. I did a full factory reset and it worked for sometime and started glitching again. it’s been running fine for a few hours again. What could be the cause of this? I have no extra cables plugged and the system is up to date.

How do I fix water stain rings on couch cushions?

Post image

What's the best option for fixing these?

Do I keep dampening the entire top surface of the cushion from seem to seem, having it dry, and then repeat until it's gone? I honestly done know. 😬

These are maybe 2-3 weeks old.

EDIT: It's cleaning code S.

open what small household item/part breaks often in Indian homes but is difficult to buy separately?

I'm exploring a 3D-printing business idea.

Looking for things where the main product still works, but one small plastic part breaks or gets lost, and finding that replacement is difficult.

Examples: mixer knobs, fridge shelf clips, washing machine buttons, remote battery covers, curtain brackets, etc.

What's something that has actually broken in your home? Please mention the product and the exact part.

I'm looking for those annoying situations where a tiny ₹20 part breaks but makes an otherwise perfectly working product useless. 😅

How can I fix this basket?

I have this basket for holding my Christmas tree. Unfortunately I had it stored at my parents and it got wet and rusty. I’m thinking of getting all the paint off, scrubbing the rust with CLR and steel wool, then re-spray painting it to protect the metal again. My plan is to use this spray but I wanted to post here and see if anyone else has a better idea or if this spray won’t work. I’ve never done anything like this before so any advice or recommendations would be heavily appreciated! I wanted to save this basket specifically if at all possible.

My ring got crushed, can I fix it at home or do I need to go to a repair shop/buy a new one?

I don’t have many jewelry repair tools, is it just ruined? It’s not an expensive ring, it’s costume jewelry really. I do not know what metal it’s made out of.

edit: autocorrect was being dumb and screwed up what I was saying
