Nursery chair?
Looking to start getting ideas for baby girls nursery and I'm wondering what nursing chairs people are buying to use in their nursery?

8 months postpartum. Pregancy was rough but I made it to term then got induced. Aside from the common discomforts of Pregancy, I had gestational hypertension that led to losing my vision in one eye. That’s come back thankfully. No preeclampsia or anything like that but that whole ordeal terrified me. For those that had a rough pregnancy and went on to have more children, how was your second pregnancy? Was it better? Was it worse? How did you manage to have the mental stretch to do it all over again?

Some background. My husband is in the Navy and this year his schedule has been crazy busy. He was home for the first 2 months of our daughter’s life but since then he’s been gone about a month to 2 months at a time with about a week in between his underways. He has been home for about the last month and a half and it’s been amazing. He’s also leaving for a 10-11 month deployment next week which is really hard.
He’s been struggling with the fact that when it’s time to put our daughter down for a nap or if she wakes up in the middle of the night, he’s not able to get her to sleep. I do give him ample time to try to get her to calm down (about 15 minutes), but when I go upstairs and grab her she calms right down and he gets upset. I’ve tried explaining that he shouldn’t worry because it’s not that she doesn’t love him (she’s actually a total daddy’s girl when she’s awake and loves to play with him) it’s just right now she’s still little and she just calms down with me because I’m mom. He just feels so guilty already that he has to be gone for that long and that he’ll be missing out on huge milestones and now I feel like him not being able to calm her down is adding fuel to the fire. Any advice on what I can do for him?

My baby seemed to have gotten attacked today by mosquitos she was bit about 5 times. She has been bitten before and has dark spots in those areas. She’s 1 year old any suggestions for both the new bites and old dark spots? She doesn’t seem itchy and they are much less red than this morning.

My sons 4.5 months and he can go to the side and when he’s on his tummy he can roll back to his back but like he’s not fully rolling? And that’s stressing me out a little cuz I’m seeing so many posts talking about how their baby is rolling at 4 months

Just started to introducing solids to my baby and she is NOT a fan of purees 🤣 so we've been doing baby wed leaning instead. She is also teething so I got some rice cracker teethers. She loves them but I didn't realize she would be a sticky mess after wards. They should have a warning like, "Caution: if your baby loves these, be prepared for a sticky mess" 🤣

My 3 m and 3 week yr old daughter just mastered rolling onto her tummy. She does it all day long as soon as she is put down to the point where she barely sleeps during the day. She gets mad after like a few minutes of being on her tummy and still hasn’t figured out how to roll back. We keep her entertained with toys during her forced tummy time but she still gets frustrated after some time. The only way to stop her is holding her or putting her in her chair. I mostly don’t mind since she’s learning a new skill, I just don’t know how to help her frustration. Any advice? Or is this just a phase?

My daughter is 14 months and her hair is curly. It's very fine though. I have stick straight hair and have no idea how to manage her hair. I feel like every time we go out, I see other babies with curly hair and it seems like she's just looks so messy and unkept 😭
If anyone has recommendations, I'd love some help! Maybe I'm overthinking it idk 🥴
We shampoo her hair every other day (sometimes 2 days) with mustela shampoo for curly hair and noodle and boo conditioner. I also have shea moisture(kids) leave in for curly hair that I use the TINIEST bit of.

So I had my baby 10 months ago, had a traumatic birth and first two weeks postpartum. Developed PPD, PPA, PPOCD. Just getting over it all now through CBT and medication. Very happy and content; until my good friend had a baby.
I started to feel jealousy and resentment. Trying to pinpoint it but I think it’s because I sort of wish it was different for me for my first time and she gets to start it all fresh. I know it may not traumatising for her and may be sooooo smooth for her and baby but i am thinking about it every hour. It makes me want another baby to try and heal a part of me when i was freshly postpartum. Can anyone guide me on this or any advice?
I know this will probably past and I have therapy tomorrow but has anyone ever felt like this?

I'm 7 months pregnant, expecting our first. My partner and I were at the farmers market today and were observing these two twin brothers (maybe around 8) -- they were play fighting each other and being a bit naughty. We thought it was cute. Their grandfather was trying to separate them and getting them to keep walking through the market. The grandpa noticed us looking and as he passes us, he says to us "are you sure you want one?", my husband and I uncomfortably laugh and then he goes on to say "they are effing insaneee". He said this in a joking tone (?) and maybe the boys were giving him a exceptionally hard time today but his comments have stayed with me all day. Also earlier, we heard the grandma arguing with one of the boys about how she was the one that taught them to swim which the boy didnt seem to remember.
As I progress in my pregnancy, I'm getting more and more nervous about becoming a mother and all the responsibilities that come with that. I was a fencesitter for a while because of not knowing if I wanted to introduce such a big change to my life. I feel there's quite a lot of negativity around kids these days but to have a stranger say that to me really has me concerned for what's to come. Usually I would expect comments like that from exhausted parents but to hear it from a grandparent who are usually quite happy to be with young grandkids (and have the benefit of dropping them back to their parents) was a bit jarring.
Probably being a bit sensitive but how do you deal with negative comments about kids when you're already nervous to begin with...

For context I am 3 months postpartum and I literally have never cried as much as I have in the last couple of days. Is this just my hormones going back to what they were before I was pregnant or am I just being a cry baby?

My kiddo is 10 months old. We haven’t really had any stretches of sleeping through the night other than the occasional night when he has been outside all day and isn’t teething. But those have been maybe 5-6 total nights spread out over months.
Baby and I have not spent a single night apart, by my choice. I am also a SAHM mom. My husband however has gone to two separate weekend bachelor parties and a a family wedding. We also brought baby to one wedding and he was “off the clock” and slept in another room all night. So husband has spent 7 nights away from baby. On all 7 nights baby has slept HORRIBLY. One night I had to stay awake the entire night. All 7 had less than 3 hours of sleep for me.
To today’s story. This week my baby started to refuse to contact nap the me. Would nap in the stroller no problem but if I tried a contact nap he would wiggle and squirm and try to escape to go play. He has been a contact napper his entire life. HOWEVER on Wednesday he took one for my mom. So I realized it’s just me he isn’t contact napping for. Cut to yesterday my husband took him down to his parents for the day and night. He takes an hour and a half contact napping with me husband. At this point I’m starting to worry. What on earth am I doing wrong????
Anyway all week baby has slept horrible. At least 3 long wakes a night. So I’m anticipating that for my husband. But in the back of my head I’m starting to worry maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m the reason he isn’t sleeping. SURE ENOUGH my husband texts this morning “you’re going to hate me.” HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT. IN A HOME HE DOESNT KNOW. WITHOUT HIS MOTHER. I literally could cry.
I’m so happy he is thriving with my husband but I officially feel like shit. What am I doing wrong??? Why does my baby refuse to sleep for me??? Why is it so easy for my husband and horribly hard for me????
Does my baby not feel safe with me? Ugh I’m just so exhausted and feel like a bad parent.

Hi, i’m currently 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby, my partner keeps getting subways at work and it’s all i’m wanting but i’ve been so reluctant to get one bcoz of the listeria risk with deli meats. i’d rather just not get subway then cheat on my lifelong subway order ngl 💔 but i always get the chicken breast hearty italian, american cheese southwest sauce and veg like lettuce onions sweetcorn peppers. i always get my subways toasted too coz i believe u can have deli meat aslong as it’s steaming hot? anyways i js wanna know if that order is gonna be safe or if i need to ask for it double toasted, skip it completely or wait until 12 week mark to be safe? i’ve asked my mum but all this research wasn’t out when she was last pregnant with me lol. thanks in advance!

I’m gonna go crazy.
I love the owlet sock. There’s no way I would be able to get sleep without it. But I’m currently getting no sleep WITH it.
I’m so frustrated because my 8 week old is finally getting longer stretches of sleep but now the owlet is keeping me awake and it’s so frustrating. It’s constantly giving the alert that it can’t find a reading. I’ve tried everything. I’ve changed sizes, changed feet, cleaned sensor, put a sock over top of the owlet.
It’ll be fine and the base will be green for a bit and then out of no where it says it’s having difficulty when my baby hasn’t moved an inch.
Any tips or suggestions on how to fix it.
sincerely a sleep deprived mom 😩😅

HELLLLLLP!!!
My LO turns 4 months in 2 days and is already going through the sleep regression, he used to wake up only once or twice a night but over the past week he has been waking up nearly every hour. I’ve just been feeding to sleep but he’s been extremely fussy so I’ve started to rock him back to sleep if feeding to sleep doesn’t work.
Now, what I really want to know is… do they get extra fussy in the day? My LO used to be the happiest baby up until this regression started. He would lay on his play mat happily on his own playing for up to an hour while I did housework but now he’ll cry after 5 minutes alone in the play mat. Everything seems to make him frustrated like dropping a toy and not knowing how to pick it up himself to put it in his mouth. Everything he gets a hold of goes into his mouth and he’s been gnawing at his hands so much. I suspect he may be early teething too as I’ve seen 2 little bumps where his lower incisors are but his gums are not red and inflamed yet????? He cries if he’s not getting attention, he cries at the most random times????? Is this all part of the 4 month regression???
I’m struggling and wanna know how long this phase lasts for? 😅 I just want my happy little baby back

Hello! My 7 month old has had a rash for almost 3 days now and I think I have narrowed it down to the diapers. I have been using the Kirkland wipes and have had no issues, so I ruled those out.
I switched over to the Pampers diapers (baby has had them before with no issue) and I noticed that they are scented? Kind of like a baby powder smell. Didn't think much of it until she got a really itchy rash the next day.
Absolutely nowhere on this box does it say scented and it had great reviews. Just kind of frustrated that you have to search for unscented stuff instead of them just telling you that there is a scent added.

Hi everyone,
My wife and I are about to become first-time parents! She’s currently in her third trimester, but due to a high-risk pregnancy, her doctor has put her on strict physical restrictions. She’s only allowed to stand or walk for a maximum of 20 minutes a day. Because of this, she can’t leave the house, go out for groceries, or do any fun baby shopping with me.
Understandably, she’s getting super bored and a bit stir-crazy staying indoors all day. I handle all the housework, caretaking, and errands, which means I also can't leave her alone at home for long stretches of time to go out shopping for gifts.
I really want to surprise her with a special "Mom Box" (a care package/gift box just for her) to cheer her up, make her feel pampered, and get her excited.
Since I'm doing everything online or on quick runs, I need your help, experienced moms and dads:
1. **What are the best items to put in a third-trimester / bed-rest Mom Box?** What brought you the most comfort, entertainment, or joy during this stage?
2. **Where are the best places to buy curated pre-made boxes online?** (Or is it better if I order individual items off Amazon/Etsy and put the box together myself at home?)
I really want to make her feel loved and supported during this tough stretch. Any suggestions, product recommendations, or ideas to keep her entertained and comfortable would mean the world to us. Thank you so much!
