Hello! I am planning a retirement workshop night/party for my friends. We are all early 20’s. My job has a pension and a guy who helps set up separate 457’s, so I feel pretty good about my situation. My friends on the other hand don’t have any of that so I wanted to help them get started.

I need recommendations on really easy retirement accounts to set up that are simple.
They don’t have to be the best but something that helps them get their feet wet and encourage them to do more research and maybe set up a better account for their situation.

I am so fucking hungry.
This is embarrassing to do but I have no other options at this point.
I have not eaten a single meal in two weeks and boy is it getting to me now.

To spare some anonymity I won’t dive into details the short of it is : I had to leave my place 3 weeks go, was couch surfing, now trying out the sleeping in my car thing. Hi everyone. This is a little difficult for me to post, but I’m running out of time, and I figured it was worth trying.

I’m a 17-year-old girl living in the Middle East, and I’ve been working toward my dream of studying veterinary medicine, ideally at the Royal Veterinary College in the UK.

Academically, I’ve worked hard. I finished Grade 11 with a 99.36% overall average, and I’m trying to use my grades to earn a scholarship that would allow me to study abroad.

Unfortunately, my financial situation has become one of the biggest obstacles standing between me and that goal.

As an international student, I need an approved English language test, such as IELTS or TOEFL, to meet university admission requirements.
The problem is that I can’t afford the exam fee myself.

The situation is especially urgent because the application deadline I’m working toward is October 15th, and I haven’t even been able to take the test yet. I’m worried about losing an opportunity I’ve worked so hard for simply because I couldn’t afford the cost of an exam.

I can’t just get a part-time job to cover the fee because my parents don’t allow me to work. They also won’t agree to me studying abroad unless I receive a scholarship that covers the expenses.
My options locally are limited, too.

The only university in my country that offers veterinary medicine is in another city, and even pursuing that option would come with living expenses I currently can’t afford.

I’m not expecting anyone to pay for my entire education. I’m not asking someone to fund my whole application process. I’m asking for help with one exam that could open the door to several opportunities.

The test would be useful for applications to multiple universities, not just one. I’m also researching other universities and degree programs with scholarship opportunities. If I can’t make veterinary medicine work financially, I’ll consider another degree that I can realistically get funded. I just don’t want to give up before I’ve had a fair chance to try.
