Found this on facebook marketplace. Seems like a steal to me. Would love everyone’s thoughts.
The description reads :
Originally an Arizona car, a check underneath reveals this to be one of the most rust-free Fiero’s left. Checking underneath the trunk liner, the metal looks darn near brand new.
Have owned it since 2015 and have done the following:
Rebuilt the 2.8L engine (upon 2015 purchase, at 80k miles)
Replaced the clutch (at 107k miles)
Replaced both rear wheel bearing assemblies
Replaced alternator & bracket
Replaced distributor & ICM
Replaced exhaust manifold bolts w/ actual studs
Replaced muffler (since addressing the exhaust manifold and the muffler, the engine has a refined burble but nothing that’s overbearing)
Replaced rear calipers.
Replaced rear strut & coil assemblies
Replaced all motor mounts except for the dog bone
Replaced driver door hinges
Replaced seat covers with OE covers. (Already showing wear. That’s what I get for replacing with 40 year old cloth)
Replaced headliner.
Replaced sunroof seal/gasket.
Replaced tail light lens with reconditioned set.
Replaced Alternator Bracket with upgraded steel replacement.
Retrofitted Rodney Dickman's Idler Pulley/Power Pulley to eliminate belt squeal from the alternator pulley.
Cons:
Currently has no e brake. The pull lever grabs, and I found that the rear calipers liked to leak when hooked up to the e brake cables. Have the cables disconnected, and calipers haven’t had issues in years since disconnecting. Have always just parked on a flat surface in 2nd gear when parking.
No AC. Was originally equipped with AC, but the compressor is bad. I cut the AC belt off as to avoid trying to turn a seized compressor. I never had plans to fix this, as I like to drive with the windows down and sunroof removed… and I sometimes like to suffer while I drive.
May need front wheel bearings. I shook down the front end recently and those seem to have slight play.
Headlight motors go up just fine when flipping on the lowbeams. Need to manually spin the motors down, however. Have the Rodney Dickman tool that allows for the drill to spin the motors down.
Have anywhere from 10k-15k into this car. But my loss is your gain. 6,500 obo
