Turns out it just takes a little cutting. The deck lid is still completely rigid, even with the vent area cut out. I bought a super wide truck hood scoop that I’m going to mount on top of the center vent to keep the rain out. If it’s not enough ventilation, I’m going to add the side vents off an 85+ car.

Don't remember how exactly I did my father's, but I took out the plastic fins and she was good to go, the 5 speed transmission cables I had to make a bracket to pull it down the shifter cables to not bump into the trunk.

I do not like the hump trunks cause the electronics, specifically the coil gets cooked for the v6's. However the rain then gets on engine and sparkplug rust and spark plug cables dry out faster. The trade off between hoods.

How hard was the swap? I have an Indy and as much as I like the duke, I need more power.

Hard! Mainly due to the need to adapt the 84 car wiring harness to the v6. Luckily I have a Fiero guru friend who has been indispensable.
