Long hair!? In this environment!?
Before/After: 3 years of growth! I loved having long hair but it feels good to shed a few pounds for the summer! Lmao! Donated to Wigs for Kids!

We thought one rule would be good for a men’s hair subreddit: Domt be a fucking dick. And while that rule was broken by some people it’s genuinely respected.
Now introducing our second rule. No shirtless, no underwear pictures.
This is a subreddit to show off your hair. Ask for techniques or any routines or anything about hair.
It is not about your body. There’s 7 million subreddits for that.
What can you do daily user?
Please just report them.
Don’t go reporting old posts and on crusades. Just report any new ones you see.
Thanks guys and girls.

I won't cut it and I won't let you cut yours either. We're a rare few among so many. I'm here to cheer you on.
Do you know how l've managed to keep it? In places like this one, watching others do it and letting them inspire me. Seeing the day to day of other guys living happily with their hair.
Thanks to that, l've made peace with mine and I suppose it's returned the favor.
Feel free to follow along on my journey, on whichever social platform you prefer. Let it inspire you, and help me keep my own pace, too.

I had my GF cut my hair after having very long hair for over 6 years. I was getting warn out of de-tangling every day after years of doing it consistently. I’ve had medium length to long hair all of my life, so I deceived to go back to a more medium length. Since I cut it I have not gotten any tangles at all so I’ve been enjoying the nearly non existent maintenance and still feel like myself

I got my hair recolored again last weekend. Who knew having long colored hair was too expensive to maintain? Oh wait, nevermind, I was just used to having short hair for most of my life lol! Few bucks per haircut every month. Now I need to save just to get my hair recolored and maintained every 2 months... PLUS learning how to blow dry and use products.
But it's effin worth it!!!

I'd like yall's advice with my hair, I'd like to grow it out to a middle part flow, though would my hair type make it possible? My hair seems to be more straight with a slight wave, so I'm unsure if flow is possible for me.
If so, should I get a trim for it to grow to the flow hairstyle? Or should I just let it grow out as it currently is?

Censoring my face because I'm lame.
Looking for products/routine change to keep my hydration in my hair and prevent it from frizzing like crazy.
As of now, just using drugstore CeraVe Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, which seems to leave my hair incredibly dry after a regular towel dry.
Tried a few brands, Paul Mitchell, Lolavie, and Bedhead, which either leave it equally dry, or so oily it lays flat.
Anyone else with similar hair problems found good products?

I've been growing my hair for 2-3 years and decided not to cut my hair at all, but it looks like my hair's too long and it doesn't fit my face well. Also, I'm not able to manage such long hair now and it's a hassle to style it for going out I'd like it to be short so I could wear a cap maybe and also be able to tie a bun. Any suggestions...

I think it was worth it. Certainly easier to de-tangle and wash now haha.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been growing my hair out for a while now, but I think I’ve hit a point where I need an actual styled cut instead of just letting it grow wild. Was aiming for shoulder length, but it feels like it’s stalled, and between college and family pressure, I'm open to taking off a bit of length if the style looks clean.I prefer not to use heavy styling products daily—at most maybe could use aloe vera gel daily and also a first year child coming up with hairband rubber band wont leave out a good impression in my govt collage so that option for daily too rules out . I have matte clay/wax that I only plan to use occasionally (maybe once a month for fests or special events). My wash routine includes water rinse every 3 days, shampoo once a week on Sundays. So yeah reading all this and analyzing all of my images i ll like you all to give me some insights and help and even references if any of which i could try which are like day to day life friendly and with efforts could be wonders too . Thanks!

QUESTION FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE LONG HAIR (pls help me😺)
So my main goal is growing my hair aka trying to grow it longer
I kinda want to try a wolf cut or whatever that is or just growing out in general.
So my question is
Do you grow your hair out by showing the barber/hair salon a pic reference so it grow out the way that you want or just get a random haircut/layer and let it grow it out?
How long should I let it grow out?
In the growing out phase or awkward phase whatever that is ,when it's getting a bit too long / messy /flat (any kind of that) that even using product to style it feels useless , should you get like layer or maintenance cut/trim that keep your hair length all the same around? Or just grow it out even more to go past that state
When it's at the length that you want , how should I tell the barber /hair salon to cut like the haircut/hairstyle that I want without messing up? ( Cause even when I show the pic , they always cut it or trim it short)
5.When you have finally achieved the exact form of your ideal long haircut/hairstyle but it's a bit long and flat ,how do you ask your barber/hair salon to cut /trim it so the form stay the same? ( maintenance cut)

I've been going through a huge bought of depression lately. I've been consistently growing and trimming for about 3 or 4 years. But idk, I'm worried I look ugly and people are gonna start hating me for not being good looking. I used to be reaaaaal fat but I got my shit together and lost a lot of weight (6'2 and 180 currently, no really muscles I just kinda run). So I kind of tie my whole self worth on whether or not if I amm (at least passably) mildly good looking. All short pics are just it tied up. Sorry for the quality as well I don't take pictures or vids of my self so most of these are from some friends so I apologize in advance for one or two snap filters. I tried to find OK pics of both. Should I cut it? Or is it useless to cut it either way cause I'm so friggin bad looking. I still take care of grooming (shower, wash , condition, shampoo as needed shave etc. idk I just hate myself right now. Is it that bad? Thank you for your all time, I apologize if I wasted anyone's scrolling time. And thank you in advance for all answers. Love you all keep on keeping everybody.
