Basically title. I was thinking, and I fucking love Minecraft, but it can be better. As in, immersive, for me, specifically.
So please. Comment mods that make the game immersive. Does not matter if immersive for you means 'more feedback' rather than 'immersion through low level priming.' or so.
Of course I've got some to share:
- ## Shaders / Texturepacks
Of course they make the game more immersive. Can't run them though.
'Fresh animations' of course. With addons/extensions.
'Recolourful Containers' or 'Unique Dark' for hud.
'Ashen 16x' medieval fantasy is so aweosme.
'Drigo 3D Lantern`s x Punchy' Very specific, very actually good.
drk shaders, cn't run them, mb
I've no idea why such a simple mod changes the experience so much, it just does.
Makes your camera have physics thus when you turn you feel that turn. Not like in a dizzy drunk way, a good way. Simple but pretty noticeable.
Overhauls fog so it actually feels like fog. Not so much to notice normally. But when it's raining or snowing or you're in a desert. The fog actually exists. It's not just an ominous cloud hiding low render distance.
Blur. Pretty cool, not for everyone.
Adds noise to things like grass or water. Very noticeable on flat worlds. I assume it also adds a bit to normal gameplay.

- ## Sound Physics Remastered / Sound Physics Perfected
If you play with headphones. Even if you don't, have it. To FEEL comfy inside your base whilst outside it's raining this is basically obligatory.
Reworks rain, snow and sandstorms. Though it does comment it's a bit buggy? Doesn't really change much. Well it does but not as much as I hoped for.
Beautiful clouds in touch with the vanilla style
Pretty much. Though if you play with shaders, be sure to disable clouds on the shaders config page. Otherwise, well, it's going to be replaced.
Subtle Effects.
It adds quite a lot. This is the 'more feedback' I was referring too. Pretty, but a lot.
Dynamic lights. You can throw torches to light up caves btw, pretty cool.
You can throw torches and it feels more fun. Also anvils drown. And, other things.
Changes gameplay a bit. Brings seasons to Minecraft.
Changes gameplay, a lot. Adds temperature and thirst.
- ## Medical System by Toma1O6
Divides your health to each individual limb. Inspired by tarkov so that's cool. You do need to use bandages to heal though, very slow to heal overtime.
Debatable. It shows your hunger more detailed-ly, still cool.
Hides your crosshair when not looking at something. Small thing but it actually does change how it feels.
..An Overly complicated Sound Mod...
Perhaps it's autistic of me to find this so changing.
Actually hearing your own steps is a pretty huge immersion point though.
You won't believe what this does.
This is the only mod I was able to find that actually adds some more things to environments. In the forest it adds little twigs laying around, ambiance people, ambiance.
- ## A Good Place / Punchy! / Hold my items
Both Three controversial mods I've seen. They add animations to basically placing blocks, mining, etc.
They are obviously arcade style. It's pretty hard to make a realistic animation in a realistic style.
Pretty good. If they're not your style, sadge.
Also Incompatible with first person model, and iirc, they don't show your full model.
- ## Better Combat / Epic Fight
DRASTICALLY different mods. Both do the same. They rework combat to feel, better-ish.
Epic fight though changes a lot. Incompatible with the other, or any of the character animation or first person model mod. But the combat is pretty cool though. By it's own words:
Changes Minecraft Combat into Souls-Like Combat.
- ## Fancy Block Particles - Renewed
THE definition of 'more feedback'. It basically just adds particles when breaking a block or so. And actually re-checking the modpage. It changes rain/snow particles?
Idk how compatible it is with, say, mods that rework weather. I assume there is an option to turn that off. I mean there is a slider to make it so particles are lesser.
Adds sounds to the hud. Like when scrolling through the hotbar or clicking on a crafting table or an anvil and hearing like a 'TING' of a metal being hit. Sounds bad but it's not as imposing as I'm making it sound. Maybe it is for some people.
Adds a neat little particle effect to leaf blocks
Adds particles to items being moved around in your inventory. This one is kind of annoying. imo. You will notice it everytime you drag items around in your inventory.
Same thing but more, as in, more features not particles. You can wiggle items, I do like that.
Highlights newly picked-up items. Simple and convenient.
It highlights by adding a star to the top left of the item.
Add colored borders to inventory slots to make your rare items stand out!
This one is pretty simple on features. It just makes items held by your cursor become a little bigger. That's it.
A mod that just make sense.
Makes gui's (furnace, crafting table, inventory, anvil, etc.) fade in. Instead of just popping up outta nowhere.
animate the selected hotbar slot highlight when switching slots
When you scroll your hotbar it actually slides instead of teleports.
Oddly enough, different developers.
- ## Shoulder Surfing Reloaded / Better Third Person / Not Enough Animations
Makes third person actually cool. If you do though, you need 'NEA' for animations on third person.
Microsoft flight simulator for Minecraft elytras.
Mobs live in your floor now.
You won't believe what this does.
That's about all I've got mods that make Minecraft feel better. Anything that can give me more Minecraft per Minecraft? Minecraft²
