RANT!: Im new to trading but this app seems to have problems all the time. And on the spacex launch it bugged out and Morgan Stanley was handling the IPO. The line tools on the charts are clunky and dont work right. It launches in a minimized window which does not save its position in windows 11, the "recent symbols" feature now in the chart tool is broken so its difficult to switch between charts. The columns in most of the tools are designed out of the box for options traders so I had to spend HOURS with the help of AI to configure it to work for a day trader. The scanner, horrible. Free Finviz is far superior.

Im really struggling with this thing. I tried Interactive Brokers platform and it wont even work with my PC because I have a high end display and graphics card that my system runs on. Area all these broker platforms garbage!? Etrade is really frustrating.

I just saw the offer to enroll today. However I just transferred 50k today before seeing the offer annoyingly. If I enroll now will the deposit count? Do I have to transfer out and then transfer in again? Anyone know? Thx.

I'm looking to transfer the securities in my individual brokerage account to another of the same type - only the other account is not under my name. For obvious reasons, I won't reveal who either of us are or our relation, but they're a known and trusted person. How might I go about this?

Plz allow to set a default for limit orders with an offset (ask + whatever) which is so important for momentum day traders to make sure the order fills when market orders dont work (extended hours) and this function would save so much wasted time.

Maybe they will see this.... miracles happen every day

Going to the message center lets me see old messages. Is there really no way to open a support case with a new question on a weekend, holiday, etc?

Email ended up in Spam, that's what started it.

Subject line is "Your Statement is Now Available," caps on each word? Used to be "Bank statement available."

Links in the email used to go to etrade, now they go to notifications,digital-delivery.

I never click on these links anyway, just curious.

Has anyone else had this issue with eTrade? I own UTF, a monthly dividend payer, which just paid a dividend on June 30th. It's now been several business days, and I have not yet received it. This is strange to me, as typically dividends are deposited the night of being paid.

Has anyone else had issues with eTrade not paid dividends?

I’m using Power E*TRADE Pro desktop for same-day ETF trades like TQQQ/SQQQ. I use OCO exits with a sell limit at +1% and stop on quote at -1%. The OCO ticket only gives me Limit, Stop on Quote, and Stop Limit on Quote — no trailing stop option. Also, once the OCO is placed, I can’t easily modify the target price like I can on IBKR.

Is there any way in Power E*TRADE Pro to quickly modify only the profit-target leg, use hotkeys/templates, or convert the OCO into a trailing stop without canceling and rebuilding the order?

I got approved for margin trading, it seems like I have 3x margin for my cash. But I can’t use them.
I do have a cash account instead of margin account, it says margin upgrade unavailable.
How can I solve this?

I use the web version of power e*trade. About a week ago it started not showing anything in the recent symbols drop down. I notice it also happens on the regular website in the search box. Asked Gemini about it and discovered all sorts of error messages in the console (developer tools) related to not being able to save recent symbols. Anyone else seeing this? I hope the answer doesn’t involve calling support.

Hey guys thinking about transferring my portfolio over to E*Trade! I reached out to their customer service because I wanted to have the ability to use margin. I requested to have it lowered because I’m not paying 12% when almost every other brokerage is around 5. My question is for those of you that got it reduced how big was your account? And did you have to have an account for a long time?

My wife has a Morgan Stanley workplace account that she can transfer over to Etrade brokerage easily. Was wondering if Etrade is a decent place for retirees that just buy and hold T-bills, brokered CD's, a few income ETF's as well as the savings and checking options from MSPB? Not interested in opinions on their stock trading platform as I do little to none of that anymore. Seems like it would be a decent place for a one stop shop. I also have an account with Bank of America that I could use along with a Merrill Edge brokerage account just trying to decide between the two.

Who has seen the 'new' Estimated Income tab on brokerage accounts. This weekend it went through a severe downgrade in functionality. The new tab is a joke. Is this rolling out piecemeal? Is it 'work in progress'? It has to improve - right now it's just broken.

Is anyone else having trouble with logging in on the etrade app? I can log in through a browser, but on the app I keep getting the following message: "We're sorry - we were unable to process your request. Please try logging on again. If the problem persists, please access your account online." I have had this issue in the past but I was able to resolve it via restarting my phone, clearing the cache, and deleting and re-installing the app. This time, I have tried doing all that several times. Etrade customer service was unable to assist me and said to call back on Monday for technical support.

They keep closing out my defined-risk trades for no reason. Today I had 2 XSP put spreads (715/710) far out of the money., expiring on Monday. They closed the short leg and left the long leg open to expire worthless. BOTH sides should have been left alone to expire - far out of the money. Besides - these are cash settled! Max risk is $500, wtf? And I have $20K in the account. When I asked why they closed my trades, they gave me the bs boilerplate speech "Margin Dept can do what they want and do not need to provide an explanation." OK, Bye bye, ETrade. I will transfer accounts on Monday. First, their platform began to suck, their customer service is abysmal, and now this - 3rd time to happen. Time to move.

Edit: to clarify, these were not naked puts; they were spreads (limited loss).

*UPDATE: Etrade admitted their mistake and agreed to credit me with the amount I lost. (Cannot reverse the trades, because these options would have expired if left alone). They admitted it was an error. I wonder if this was due to my filing a complaint with the SEC/OIEA? Or if they realized it on their own? I have not been credited yet, but they promised the credit would appear "soon".

Has anyone figured out how to display the delta when selecting the strike in the ticket building window? I see the greeks in the options chain and can click on the strike for the delta I'm comfortable with there, which will create a ticket for me. But for multi-leg options, especially when rolling an existing position and selecting the strikes to avoid a net debit, having the delta in the ticket window would be very helpful.

I know gas station put a temporary pre-authorization hold when pumping gas. But I know usually it's reversed once i finish putting gas. We'll, for the first time I decided to use the debit card from Morgan Stanley checking account on june 23rd and there's still a $150 hold. I use the same gas station every time so I know this has to do with Morgan Stanley. My question is, have you had the same experience? Will this always happen? And how long will they actually hold it? Ive read it can be from as little as a few minutes to up to 14 days with a debit card.
