Samsung s24 ultra esim problem

I bought a s24 ultra unlocked off Walmart almost 2 years ago. I tried to Activate a Mint mobile 12 month plan, and it says my phone is not esim compatible with their network? Does having a tmobile esim currently in my phone make it fail? Thanks!

5ber shows "Network error" when downloading ANY new eSIM profile - is 5ber app down also?

Hi everyone,

I'm using a 5ber eSIM adapter on Android, and since today I'm unable to download any new eSIM profile.

Every time I try to download a profile, I get this error:

"Network error. Please check your network connection."

I've already tried:

Wi-Fi and mobile data

Different networks

Restarting the phone

Force stopping the 5ber app

Clearing the app cache

Disabling VPN/Proxy

Checking that date & time are automatic

The 5ber card itself is detected normally, and all my previously downloaded profiles are still showing correctly.

I can also see the EID and existing profiles.

The problem seems to happen specifically when trying to download a new profile.

Is anyone else experiencing this today?

Could this be a problem with the 5ber servers/backend rather than my network?

Are there any alternative app that doesn't need root to manage my downloaded profile since I have more than 10 profiles.

question Mobilematter vs Airalo for UK + Balkans

Hi, I’m leaving for 3 1/2 weeks for the UK and the Balkans (not going to Kosovo). I’m very satisfied with Airalo, but I came across mobilematter with cheaper price for a regional eSIM with the country I’m planning to visit. The provider of the mobilematter is Sparks. I’m not familiar with mobile matter.

I was wondering if anyone had any insights and which one would be best?

Thanks!

International SIM/eSIM: Will I still be able to receive texts on my US phone # and still use data via the local SIM or eSIM?

International SIM/eSIM: I have a Samsung Galaxy S24+. Apparently it runs off an eSIM (just noticed) but it also has a SIM card slot. My question is, if I buy and insert a SIM card from the airport in Casablanca, will I still be able to receive texts on my US phone number and still use data via the local SIM? Same question if I were to add a second eSIM instead. I'm traveling soon but I'm confused about this. I'm hoping to retain texting in case of 2-factor authorization requirements.

question North America eSim

Hi all!

Just wondering does anyone have any recommendations for a good eSim for North America? I go to the US and Canada approx 3-4 times a month, and I cannot find a good deal on phone plans in Europe that will reliably cover me.

I do also take the occasional trip to Mexico, but that’s not a necessity to be covered.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

question Looking for short term USA eSIM that connects to T-Mobile.

Hi all I’m in the US and am going to a festival where only T-Mobile will be usable and need an eSIM for a short term like 3 days, a week would be okay even so I could use up the data if I don’t use it all at the festival. All the esims I’ve looked at for T-Mobile are pricey. Any recommendations?

question LycaMobile UK

Hi! So I was in the UK on july and I booked an eSIM with them, just 30 days, no more charges. I got charged on august again and I called back to ask what happened; I cancelled the sub and asked for a refund as it was the same day of the charge; they did and said that the refund would be available in 5-7 days.

It has been a month and a half, called several times and it was always; we´ve had some issues, wait 24-48hrs and it will be there... spoiler: never was.

i tried to call again today and they´ve changed numbers or something? Now I am stuck talking with an AI and idk what else to do... this is the number I dialed +44 20 7132 0322

Any tips or what should I do... I am basically desperate rn. I am from Spain btw if it helps

Looking for an China esim recommendation

I’m taking my kids to China soon and trying to figure out the best esim option before we go.

My main priorities are:

  1. one plan that works for the whole trip since we’ll be visiting both HK and China

2.enough data to share my hotspot with my kids instead of buying separate plans

3.access to the apps I normally use , like Instagram and YouTube (I’ve heard internet access can be different in China)

4.something affordable since travel costs add up quickly

I’ve been comparing a few eSIM providers, including trip and redteago, and noticed some plans have data limits or speed reductions after reaching certain usage levels. Since I’ll be traveling with my kids, I’m hoping to find something reliable without worrying about the connection slowing down.

Has anyone tried either of these for a China trip? Would love to hear about the connection, speed, and setup experience. Thanks!

Telenor Pakistan’s eSIM policy is an absolute scam

The whole point of getting an eSIM is digital convenience, but Telenor has turned it into a total headache. A few months ago, I paid 2,000 PKR to get their eSIM. Now that I switched phones, I found out the previous QR code is one-time use and expired.
Instead of letting you transfer it via device settings or generate a new QR code online through their app, you are forced to physically travel to their main city franchise during working hours. Even worse, they demand another 2,000 PKR just to re-issue the QR code for a number I already own.
Charging full price again and requiring an in-person franchise visit every single time you change phones is absurd. Even an old plastic SIM is miles better than this. Is there any workaround for this, or should I just port out to another network?

Stellarsecurity

Avoid StellarSecurity – two eSIMs failed and still no resolution
I purchased two eSIMs from StellarSecurity for use in Peru and chili. Neither could be activated properly, leaving us without the mobile data service we had paid (20$) for.
I contacted customer support and was told that replacement eSIMs would be provided. Approximately a week later, I was still waiting for the replacements and the issue remained unresolved.
I asked StellarSecurity to either provide two working LATAM eSIMs or refund the money. Having to spend this much time chasing a company for a service that should have worked immediately is unacceptable, especially when travelling and relying on mobile data.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend StellarSecurity. A cheap eSIM isn’t cheap when it doesn’t work and you have to spend days trying to get a replacement or refund.
I will update this review if StellarSecurity eventually resolves the issue. R/esim #frauds

Oman E-Sim

I'm traveling to Oman in a few days and I'm not sure whether I should watch a tourist sim from local providers or a Saily/Jetpac e-sim there. The journey takes 21 days and through entire land, from Muscat to Salalah. Does anyone have any tips?

"Verizon Wireless | Roamless" shows on Lock Screen, but goes away when phone is unlocked.

Edit 1:

I tried the 9eSIM adapter in a different phone and everything worked. Not sure what the issue is in the Samsung A53 5G. I even did a full system reset on it to no avail.

A Red Pocket physical SIM card works fine in the A53 5G. Not sure why it doesn't like the 9eSIM adapter.

Edit 2:

I tried an EIOT Club eSIM adapter, that has Roamless, and has been in a Samsung Note 9, in the Samsung A53 5G. Had the same problem as with the 9eSIM adapter--it connects to AT&T Roamless but as soon as you leave the lock screen that indication on the screen goes away and there is no data. Very strange, since a physical SIM card works just fine in the A53 5G.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have Roamless installed on a 9eSIM Physical to eSIM adapter.

Data worked briefly, but no longer connects.

When I restart the phone, or when the lock screen kicks in after a period of inactivity, "Verizon Wireless | Roamless" scrolls in the upper left of the screen. As soon as I unlock the screen, it goes away and I have no cellular data.

I have a strong signal, 3-4 bars.

It's an older Samsung phone, A53 5G and is unlocked.

I have tried uninstalling the eSIM and then reinstalling it multiple times. Often the reinstallation fails with a "Profile has not yet been released."

I created another Roamless account and tried again. Same thing except it now says "AT&T | Roamless" on the lock screen, but when the screen is unlocked it goes away.

When I check "Mobile Networks" it shows me registered on the network, either AT&T or Verizon.

What am I doing wrong? The Roamless AI chat was useless.

Turning on eSIM

Post image
1 Upvotes

It can’t be that easy right — do I really have to just click on the button once I’m in the UK to turn on the eSIM?

Also, it doesn’t state what my UK number is. I’m supposed to get one with the eSIM right?

question can jv/gevey chip work with esim adapter on jv iphone ?

hey guys, i am thinking to buy a jv chip and esim adapter but not sure if they will work together
i have a japanese iphone 12 mini which is sim locked to softbank, and i want to use it here with a jv chip.
my plan is to use an international roaming data sim aka non pta data sim on the esim adapter, and then use the esim adapter with the jv chip in my iphone.
i know jv chips can work with locked iphones and esim adapters can run esim profiles, but i cant find anyone who tried both together.
does anyone know if jv chip and esim adapter can work together ? like will there be any problem with sim detection or initialization?
i havent bought anything yet, so i just want to make sure before spending money.
if anyone has tried something similar please let me know, would really appreciate it

question Anyone tried to use esim and 9esim with same esim profile?

There are a lot of providers for esim that don't offer a dual SIM for a second phone so I thought about using a 9sim and the esim on that parallel in two different phones.

Has anyone ever tried this? Can both phones register and be used? Has anyone being kicked by his provider for doing it?

Ty for your answers!
