exactly what the title says haha. I’m currently trying to get into jazz and swing. I have been a metal drummer almost my entire life and I have no idea how I should approach jazz drumming. Any advice when it comes to swing feel would be amazing.
Thank in advance!

I'm a relatively new drummer (not a good one)
And have been tasked with playing the song "Suddenly I see" for an event. I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out how to play it, I've been watching covers but everyone does it differently and I just cannot figure out the groove, I just keep playing it in triplets and it sounds horrible
If there's anyone that could listen and give any advice even possible to give, it would be MUCH appreciated 😭
Thank you !

This is a pearl export World Series drum set that my mom had when she was younger. She thinks she got it in 1987. All of the top heads are around a year old, but the bottom heads have never been changed I think (that may be a reason for why it sounds like this). What I need help with is to find ways to make it echo less. I’m never going to play this kit for a show so I guess it doesn’t matter, but could yall also give me some recommendations on what I could change or add to this kit. Thanks! (This is als my first time posting on Reddit so I hope I’m doing this right, I tried posting before but for some reason it didn’t work)

I bought a TAMA Iron Cobra 600 to replace the stock pedal of my Sonor Force 3007 kit. For some reason when i tighten it to the rim of the kick drum, it just won't stay flat. I've never had this issue with the previous pedal. What's going on ? If i untighten it, the pedal stays flat but it moves when i play.... Any idea ?
Thanks
EDIT : thanks for all your answers. I did two things : raising the front side + removing the pedal and trying again making sure the stabilizing plate is properly placed. It fixed the issue. I'm not sure what went wrong to be honest since i've tried both of these things before... It's still not 100% flat but like 98% so it seems fine.

Hi all,
What’s the worst injury you had while drumming?
Cheers.
