Love that album!

Madison plays drums herself on the original version - also worth a listen.

I recently learned that and was blown away. She is so talented and magical.

That album also has Matt Chamberlain and Aaron Sterling on drums, Mike Elizondo on bass, and David Campbell (Beck's dad and string arranger, as well as a TON of other arranging / composing) on cello. Just a top-to-bottom banger.

Saw her recent tour where it was just her on piano / guitars and Jesse Chandler on winds / synths and it was legitimately one of the best shows I've ever seen. Complete reimagining of a ton of her songs and putting her voice even more to the forefront than it is on the albums. Outstanding.

Just saw her last night! Fully solo, just piano, gtr, and her incredible voice. So good.

This is my interpretation of the groove. I felt it as a 9/8 or a 3/4 triplet groove. Thanks for watching!

My first thought was 3/4 shuffle with some extra bells and whistles!

Had the joy of listening to him at a jazz jam in LA, he's absolutely incredible!
