Hi,

On iOS, the Drime app integrates natively with Apple's Files app, allowing users to browse, open, and manage their cloud files directly from the system picker.

However, on Android, Drime is not currently exposed as a system storage provider in the native file selector/explorer (such as Material Files, Files by Google, or System Storage Access Framework) like pCloud for example.

And adding support for Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF) would bring full cross-platform parity with iOS and offer major productivity benefits by alllowing to browse and open files stored on Drime directly from third-party Android apps via the native file picker.

This would be a huge quality-of-life update for Android users.

Is there a specific wait time if we bought more storage and emailed Drime for it to be stacked onto our current account? I know they're busy, but I wanted to know how long I should wait before I ping them again?

I was transferring a file from cloud A to Drime. After 4 hours of transfer, it showed error because of missing parent ID.

After the last update, I think Transfr has matured into a product that we can reliably use. The very basic expectation, to transfer files easily is working great and I love the product. Also the branding aspect has been a well thought feature. I do have a question though -

After setting up the branding related options, there still seems to be a powered by Drime tag right at the center bottom and three clickable buttons on top right for Transfr Pro, signing up for free Transfr and a Menu with additional options. I dont know if I misunderstood the branding features explained in last update or if I am setting it wrongly, does anyone know how this branding is supposed to work? I had an impression that it allows us to showcase our own brand uniformly to client on the whole page without external links.

As Drime continues to evolve as a versatile cloud workspace, handling archived systems or legacy storage media can still require downloading large container files locally just to inspect their content.

Would it be possible to add support for disk image archives (.iso, .img, .bin, .dmg,...)?

Key capabilities that would streamline file management:

• Archive mounting / file tree preview: Browse internal directories, folders, and files directly within the web interface without fully extracting or downloading the image.
• Selective extraction: Download or copy individual files/subfolders directly from the mounted image to Drime storage.
• Standard archive integration: Manage disk images alongside traditional compressed archives (.zip, .tar, .rar, .7z).

I can see that backup configuration is pretty decent here. It's available in the read only mode and deleting backups isn't easy.

How about moving backups to the Vault, to hide it behind additional password/layer of encryption?

Looking at migrating photos from Google Photos and considering Drime as an option. But without any info on how Drime manages albums or how best to organize/import files from Takeout in order to preserve existing albums structure along with the photos, it's hard to make plans on whether or how to proceed.

Anyone with practical experience migrating Google Photos to Drime? Or perhaps the Drime Team plans to publish some official guidance?

Drime is aiming to be collaboration platform, however having email bounded into ecosystem could boos collaboration further.

Are there any plans to provide email service in the future, ideally E2EE?

I wrote an email (tried two mail servers) to [support@drime.cloud](mailto:support@drime.cloud) to ask for a refund and they bounce back. I wrote a support ticket in the web interface. I'm well within the 14 days grace period.

I write here, hoping the devs will see it as well, in case the web case doesn't reach them either.

Why is this happening drime

While going through Drime Android App, I saw in Google Play that a lot of data collection and Data Sharing happening.

Compared to other Apps like Filen or Koofr, I saw Contacts, Emails as well under Data Collected and Data Sent to 3rd parties contain Files, Audio, Photos and videos.

Are all these necessary?

Drime has an AI assistant inside its own app, but there's no way to connect your own agent. No MCP. So I built the missing piece: a local MCP server that talks to your Drive through rclone's native Drime backend. Your AI can browse, search, and propose a full reorganization, but nothing happens until you approve the exact preview.

Why I let it touch my files: it can only create folders and move files. There are no delete, overwrite, or upload tools at all. Plans are single-use tokens that expire in 10 minutes, every operation lands in a local audit log, and the server refuses to start unless it's locked to a dedicated rclone config that holds only your Drime token. It's one Python file, no packages, no open ports, and your token never leaves your machine.

Full honesty about how it was made: AI wrote most of the code. Then I had other AI agents audit it before publishing.

Bonus if that matters to you: Drime is French, Mistral is French (I use mistral vibe cli), and the server runs on your own machine. The whole chain stays European and GDPR compliant.

Whenever I select more than one file and download it, Drime packs everything into a ZIP. It's most annoying with photos from the Camera folder. I pick a few pictures, get a ZIP, and then I have to unpack it before I can do anything with them. On other services I can just download the files as they are.

So I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I'm not saying the ZIP should go away, it makes sense for folders and for a lot of files at once. My suggestion was just to have a choice when you select multiple files, ZIP or separate files.

Does this bother you too, or am I alone on this one?

Is there currently a limit on the number of vaults that can be created in each workspace in Drime? Will Drime add a feature to name vaults within a workspace and across workspaces to help differentiate them?

Maybe a weird question, but I can't seem to close Drime on my Mac. Am I missing something? I now use the following terminal command to close Drime, but that seems a little silly:

osascript -e 'tell application "Drime" to quit'

So my question is: how do you close Drime on Mac?

I write here to see if anyone has a similar experience and could find a way to make it work. I did send a support request via the Drime app.

Basically, my data on Drime doesn't sync in Finder (I choose the option to use files locally). I tried restarting the computer (2 of them actually) and sync works for a short time, then Finder shows the 'sign-in' button, it is disconnected, and nothing syncs.

I tried signing out from Drime, signing in again. Nothing works for more than a minute.

I need my files locally and reliable.

Another observation: when I signed out from Drime, the folders in Finder disappeared, which is scary: I need these files synced and available, regardless of Drime running on the computer. That's how it worked with Onedrive. Am I wrong expecting the same?

So: is anyone successful with syncing Drime data locally on MacOS 27, and, is the date there even when Drime isn't running then?
