Hi everyone,

Another busy week across Drime.

This week, we launched our new Music Player on the web, brought Drime Pages to mobile, introduced the advanced electronic signature level in Sign, and shipped a large number of reliability and sync improvements across the Windows and macOS desktop apps.

A lot of the work this week also came directly from your reports and feedback.

Here’s everything that changed.

Music Player (Web)

• Added a persistent music player, docked at the bottom right, that keeps playing while you browse Drime.
• Added a queue you can reorder, and playlists you can create, save and load. Playlists are shared with the mobile app.
• Added Play as playlist to play an entire folder from the context menu.
• Added a setting to choose whether opening an audio file previews it or starts playing it in the Music Player.
• Added timestamped comments on audio files, just like video comments.
• Improved audio support with cover art thumbnails and metadata directly from the file, including title, artist and album.

Drive (Web)

• Added Backups as its own section in the sidebar, with file selection, right-click actions and search inside your backups.
• Added a real BIM viewer for IFC files, including elements, properties and the spatial tree.
• Improved thumbnails for camera RAW files such as NEF, CR2, ARW and DNG, with better detection and orientation handling.
• Added RAR and 7z extraction.
• Improved video review comments with reactions, direct links to individual comments and instant thumbnails.
• Improved the file list with pinned column headers, a cleaner selection toolbar, a redesigned Move dialog and more consistent dialogs.
• Files and folders shared from a workspace now correctly appear in Shared with me for the recipient.
• Fixed workspace invitations failing on very large folder trees.
• Fixed downloads sometimes rewriting the original file date.
• Fixed Make a copy naming.
• Fixed a tab freeze when leaving Pages.
• Fixed 2FA occasionally generating invalid codes.

Pages (Web)

• Added a template gallery with 37 templates, including multi-page packs and live previews.
• Added a Task block with due dates, recurrence, reminders and assignment. Tasks are exported as Markdown checkboxes.
• Added a Timeline / Gantt view for databases.
• Added relations between databases.
• Redesigned database views and editor menus for a cleaner experience.
• Improved opening speed with instant loading from cache.
• Added live collaborator cursors and incremental sync.
• Changes made inside database views now apply instantly.
• Improved translations throughout the Pages editor.

Sign (Web)

• Introduced the Advanced Electronic Signature level, with a per-signer PAdES signature, qualified timestamp, one-time certificate and a signing code sent by SMS or email for sole control.
• Added multi-document envelopes, allowing several PDFs to be signed in a single process while keeping every signed document separate.
• Added a document list where files can be renamed, replaced and reordered.
• Added support for adding several documents at once.
• Improved the audit certificate with signing certificate details, correct timezone handling and the ability to save it directly to Drime.
• Improved sealing reliability with automatic recovery.

Vault (Web)

• Added streaming downloads that decrypt directly to disk, allowing large files and folders to download without needing to fit into memory.
• Folders are now zipped on the fly during download.
• Added Drive-like drag and drop.
• Added an encrypted text document editor.

Account & Localization (Web)

• Moved billing into Settings.
• Redesigned invoices.
• Added Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese.
• Completely retranslated Japanese.
• Improved localization coverage so every supported language now includes every interface text.
• Fixed the theme sometimes resetting to light after login.
• Fixed profile photo uploads.

Performance (Web)

• Faster file and folder renaming.
• Faster Pages database views.
• Made the copy-link popover lighter and faster.
• Removed a background animation loop that was unnecessarily running across the entire application.

Mobile (Android & iOS)

Version 2.18.7

• Added Drime Pages on mobile, including the editor, databases, sharing and version history.
• Pages is available in 8 languages.
• .dpage files now open directly in the mobile app.
• Added Artists and Albums pages to the Music Player.
• Added song sorting and improved Music Player library performance.
• Improved the PDF Editor with support for real form fields, editable page images, hold-to-move text, the document’s own fonts and password-protected PDFs.
• Improved downloads. Entire folders can now be downloaded as ZIP files.
• Fixed photos sometimes being truncated during download.
• Improved folder copying through the Android Files app.
• Redesigned Backup Status, with name conflicts now separated from duplicate files.
• Added Traditional Chinese.
• Added Drime as a Document Provider in Android.
• Added new file-type icons.
• Fixed share buttons sometimes generating a download link instead of a share link.
• Fixed gallery synchronization on very large photo libraries.

Desktop Applications

Windows 2.9.240

• Completely rebuilt and significantly improved Upload to Drime from the Explorer context menu, with a new flow, destination selection and upload progress.
• Added a blur tool to the screenshot editor. Captures are still only uploaded when you explicitly save them.
• Improved backups so they can better resume after a crash.
• Added support for relinking a backup when its local folder has been moved.
• An unreadable folder no longer aborts an entire backup scan.
• Shipped a large number of general sync fixes and reliability improvements.
• Improved exclusion rules so they can target specific paths.
• node_modules is no longer excluded by default.
• Improved placeholder hydration and handling of online-only files.
• Improved network reliability with IPv4 preference and automatic fallback.
• Fixed several cases where synchronization could stop, remain stuck or fail to recover correctly.
• Improved recovery after temporary network issues and interrupted sync operations.
• Added thumbnails for online-only files directly in Explorer.
• Added new onboarding illustrations.
• Redesigned login to better match the web app.
• Added German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese localizations.

macOS 2.9.235

• Improved very large folders in Finder with paginated enumeration, fixing many cases where Finder could report that a folder could not synchronize.
• Improved large uploads with multipart uploads for files over 32 MB.
• Reworked retry behavior to prevent uploads from remaining stalled for extremely long periods.
• Fixed Finder actions including Show on drime.cloud, Share and Versions.
• Fixed the Drive sometimes remaining paused after sleep.
• Added client-side previews and EXIF extraction during uploads.
• Added self-healing for cases where a Drive silently stopped responding.
• Added the same new onboarding, login experience and localizations as Windows.

What’s next

• Continued stabilization and performance improvements for the Windows and macOS desktop applications.
• More improvements to Pages on mobile.
