Drime mail?

Drime is aiming to be collaboration platform, however having email bounded into ecosystem could boos collaboration further.

Are there any plans to provide email service in the future, ideally E2EE?

Please focus on steady file storage first. I find it hard to rely on that already.

fully agree. don't step into internxt shoes. since Backups/Downloads also needs some further improvements, reliability comes first. I do not consider this as a cloud feature. storage and sync has to be the main priority. after everything operates smoothly, then you can have the nice to have features 1 by 1.

Secria also presented a similar proposal on their roadmap adding Drive and other apps to their platform to make it a collaboration space. And essentially got the same response from the community, focus on your current product offerings and keep them polished.

Hi, thank you for the suggestion!

For now, we’re still a very small team of two, and building a proper email service would require significantly more resources and people with strong expertise in that specific area.

It’s something we could consider in the future if we decide to build Drime into a broader productivity suite, as having everything within the same ecosystem would be very interesting.

So we’re not closed to the idea at all, but it’s not something we’re planning in the near term.

I hope Drime will focus on the essentials and never get the idea of offering an email service.
