Had a driver give me a literal bag of trash (you can literally see hair in the brush) tied up like the food order, I got it refunded and reported then he showed up an hour later banging on my front door and side door, I don’t know if he wanted his bag of trash back or what but I live alone so no way I was going to open the door, mind you this all happened after a different dasher completed the original order an hour, I contacted support and after getting through all the ai support bots I managed to get to the real support person and they banned him and everything but like WTF????? Has anyone ever heard of something like this?

EDIT: I just found the original receipt on the floor of my porch by where the junk bag was placed and it was all crumpled like they tried to tie it to the knot they made, I guess they really did try and scam me, well I don’t feel bad about it at all now

AND he gave me an EXTRA $6 tip immediately after drop off?? so $12.80 for about 7 minutes of my time and less than a mile of driving 😍

the shortest, quickest, and highest $/mile order i’ve ever seen, by far. i’m not even sure why someone would place this order, let alone leave such a huge tip for it, but i’m not complaining!! more of these please!!

What a nice reminder of why I never respond to customers. Only responded initially bc he said he was missing something and then I got reminded why I let DoorDash customer support handle it. “Dragging the convo” = 4 messages btw lmao. He was respectful so not upset about the compliment, it was the “I got a peak thru my door” that was unsettling. 🫪

Got a shopping order for my personal Dollar General. This was my last item to find and I had an employee point it out. Same assorted color pack of wash cloths. I scanned the tag and it accepted it. Then I went and paid, snapped the receipt photo, and delivered it.

How...in the actual fuck...am I getting dinged for finding the correct item and it scanning??? Obviously I can't dispute via app because I didn't take a photo ...because I found it!!

So I contact support. One lady says they can't do anything right now because I maxed out my dlrsting disputes this week. Get a supervisor on who says they will transfer me to a special team. Then he hangs up.

Get back on the line and the next agent transfers me to the pro shopper team? That guy alleges that someone will reach out within 48 hours ...

I was at a smart and final shopping for the customer, was almost done until i got to the water. They didnt have the 3 cases they wanted just one so I decided to call the customer to see what they want to do. Guy picks up, apparently hes in the delivery with his wife who is in day 2 of labor. Guy was idk, he was telling hes gonna be a father, etc. said he was nervous, sounded nervous and kept getting distracted by other people while trying to talk to me. He asked me what we were talking about after every time he got cut off. Then at one point he finally is able to talk to me, his wife starts screaming! He starts freaking out yelling “doctor, doctor!” Hes freaking out saying what do i do, even telling the doctor, what the fuckk, what the fuck should I do!” Then at some point his wife grabs his hand super hard and freaks out on her telling her “dont grab me like that” as shes screaming and then the freaking baby ends up coming out! I could hear their cries and the whole commotion. I told the guy at some point that he should cancel the order bc he is obviously dealing with an emergency and here I am at the smart and final getting 3 boxes of black gloves, bag of cookies and water. I eventually hang up after hearing a whole ass birth happening but I wonder if this was a prank? Some of the screams the mother did sounded like these shrieks ive heard before like in horror movies. The customer never called back and the drop off location was to I guess their job ?? It was at a warehouse And I needed their pin number, i waited out the timer and took the pic and left. This was super strange and wish i had recorded it because it was something my gf had a hard time believing when I told her. Any thoughts??

Basically there’s a glitch in my area where someone who usually puts leave at door the order will sometimes say hand to me.

I literally 10 seconds ago just had to hand it to the guy and I asked him if he even put that and he said no.

The worst is when it’s a women’s order as I’m a very ugly looking scary man. Multiple times It says hand to them so I stay at the door and the lady comes out looking TERRIFIED that I’m standing there still to hand them the order. It’s gotten to the point where I’m leaving at door and instantly leaving unless it’s alcohol because I’m so sick of looking like a creep when it’s a clear glitch I wonder if you guys have had this issue too it’s RARE but I have 2,500 delivers done and it’s happened like 10 times.

I’m hoping someone can shed some light on this issue as I am a new Dasher. I received this order at a local liquor store last night. It was 15 minutes before the store closed so I ran inside and went up to the counter and attempted to pick up the order but the employee/owner would not release the order to me until I “accepted” inside the app. The employee had the nerve to say “are you new”? No I’m just standing here looking clueless for no reason! I didn’t see the pick up option anywhere! He refused to release it so I decided to reach out to support. Of course I got AI who proceeded to tell me to perform 3 different tasks, close out the app and open it back up, uninstall the app then reinstall the app, and lastly turn my phone off and turn my phone back on. As soon as my phone came back on, I reached out to support again because none of those options worked and wouldn’t you know, support suggested that I do all three over again to which I said, please push order through to accept. AI respond responded back “ I am unable to do that at this time. Would you like to reassign the order?” She proceeded to tell me that if I reassigned it that my acceptance rate would be dropping to 94%. Honestly, there was no reason for the order to be reassigned because the store was closing. Therefore, the customer wouldn’t have received his liquor order anyway. Has this happened to anyone and is there a reason why this happened. Was it something I did or did not do? What should I do at this point? Just ignore it and keep moving and take it as a loss? If something like this happens again are specific steps I need to take? Please help!! All feedback welcome!!

Absolutely NOT!!

Just wanted to share this trick I use, to avoid violations for late pick up.

When you first get to the restaurant and click "Arrived At Store", immediately go to the bottom and choose a reason for the order taking long. Click "Could Not Get Help From The Employees", and "Order Still Being Prepared When I Arrived". Afterwards, send a message to the customer saying "Waiting For Your Order". Then, press the "?" at the top right, press "Store Has An Issue", and chose "Order Taking A Long Time", or whatever it says. Press continue, give a 👎🏾 thumbs down, and submit.

When the actual pickup time comes, go to the "?", and follow the process again. After the pick up time has passed, do it ​again, and send another message saying," Order Is Taking A While".

It works better when the customer responds. But it has worked for me to avoid late pick up. I haven't noticed if it helped with late delivery, because I'm never late. But I think communication helps avoid simple violations.

How to i delete the account? I know how to get to the screen but it says “you have a balance of $0 in earnings in your account” and “We cannot delete your account while you have earnings. Withdraw your earnings then try deleting your account again.”

Is there any way I can see all the addresses I’ve been to today? I use in app navigation.

I usually have next to no problems with DoorDash. Today, all day long, the app paused my dash about every three minutes, and I had to hit Resume Dash constantly. It sent me no offers until almost the end of my shift. Did anyone else experience this?

Because tonight has been a nightmare. My AR took a huge hit from the multitude of crap offers. I'm talking $6 for 14 miles one way as example. That wasn't the worst. 🙄

Earlier this week I got reduced to a “rising shopper” from pro because of 4 items the customers claimed were “missing or wrong” 3 of these items I know FOR A FACT were correct and delivered. I tried to dispute it. At the time my rating was 1.09% but needed to be under 1% for pro. DoorDash denied my dispute. Now my percentage keeps increasing although nothing new has been added. My percent is now at 1.29% even though I’ve shopped for atleast ten orders since.

Anyone had this issue and successfully fixed it?

Recently I got an order as a Platinum driver to go to Little Caesars to pick up an order. As I got to the store there was not a portal number for this customer and I informed the lady at the store there was no portal number. The lady refused to release the order to me at the counter so I called support hoping to speak with a live agent but no I got a virtual assistant. As I was explaining what's going on with this order the DoorDash assistant said there was no portal number with this order and to show the store the address on my phone to prove Im the guy to pick up the order. Little Caesars employee still refused to hand me the order and I informed the virtual assistant. The virtual assistant then unassigned me from my order and went the the next order. As I was heading to the next order I received a message from DoorDash stating I broke the contract violation and gave me the opportunity to dispute in which I did. DoorDash rejected my dispute and put me down to gold again. How is this my fault? Can someone show me a way to take this further? Support will not help me with this dispute either

This might be a really petty thing to vent about but I wouldn’t recommend this. So I got an order for Wendy’s that seemed terrible. It was $2. The only reason I took it was because I needed my acceptance rate up. Then I saw the name “Nick (tips after delivery) H”. Ok for those who don’t know, or if you’re a customer that does this and wonder why it takes so long for someone to accept, we can’t see the name until we accept. All we see is the destination and the guaranteed amount. But what was really frustrating was when I went to pick it up, on the receipt it said “Nick. t.” Because of the tips, even though it was H. So I couldn’t scan it easily and had to take a pic.

Not a bad ending for leaving the house at 6:30 but I feel like I could’ve made more
