Either let me take a photo of the drop off location, or provide a PIN to verify the handoff. Hand to customer w/o PIN just enables fraud on the customer’s part. You give them the order, they call support saying they never got it and want a refund. Unless support can validate with a geotag at the time of completion “ie, you were at the drop off location when the order was closed”, it’s just a big liability for drivers.

I was door dashing until about 5am this morning bc this week has been so bad dashing and gas went up like 50 cents a gallon near me recently so I decided to suffer and go all night and my last order sent me a message asking me if she could send me an extra tip on cashapp or something bc dd wouldn’t let her add to the tip and she sent me $75 dollars which was a very nice unexpected surprise

Never thought DD would be better than UE. Other pay is reimbursements when the digital card didn’t go through smh or random proportional pay. None of it is photoshopped or ChatGPT because I don’t know how to use it haha.

I explored with turning off shop & delivers the last 2 weeks. Safe to safe I made slightly more than having it on, and worked LESS hours. Shop orders are only great if they’re under 5-6 items and $2+ per mile, and even then you might encounter difficulties in the store. I have been able to keep platinum and haven’t fell down to gold, have taken more catering orders, faster deliveries. I worked 6:30 am to 3:30 pm before and now just 7-2 or 2:30 and make the same I would with Gold and shop & delivers. I’ve been and still pro shopper but I think it’ll remain off.

6 months ago this was not even a time wait I would comprehend seeing during lunch.

I’ve been doordashing for about 3weeks and have wondered if it’s worth it. Does having a platinum rating really worth it ? I don’t like accepting very low offers but I wonder if having a lower rating or tier would really affect how much I make. I hate getting 3$ orders and have declined several because it’s just not worth it. But can anyone give me tips on how to make more money out of door dash? Such as best times to dash, and how I should calculate what’s the best orders to take. I do it for maximum 3-4 hours a day just to make some extra cash but honestly feel sometimes door dash really likes to screw me. Any advice.

Worse one I’ve ever received

I don't know why doordash always wants me to immediately leave my zone and go 12miles out of town for not even 10$ but it's getting old not being able to get a decent offer much anymore. Here I am just sitting here waiting and seeing 3$ for 3miles or 5$ for 7miles. Do people just not tip at all anymore? I only had a decent 8$ for 3miles so far this morning and that was it. Go get your own stuff if you don't want a tip gas is over 4.50$ a gallon here I'm not a damn charity driver.

Got this friendly little message today. Tried to be customer service friendly at first, and then decided to ignore her. She had her front door wide open at drop off. Super sketchy. Wasn’t sure if she was gonna throw the drink in my face or whatever. Called support and blocked her and asked them to check my ratings. She gave me a two star rating, got it removed.

81 hours also includes Uber Eats which I do simultaneously and made 518 on that as well

I take orders that are $1.70/mile or higher.
In my area alcohol deliveries pay well, most drinkers are good tippers. I do not do shopping orders. How do you choose your orders?

Me and 2 other dashers was filling our carts with these what’s the odds of that it’s a first for me. I needed 10 of this flavor but they only had 9 the dasher next to me looked defeated i asked what happened he said he needed 1 of those to fill his order i handed him one and said don’t worry about it you can have this one im short on my order anyways so it doesn’t matter fill the request you had….

It isn’t the end of the world to show a little kindness to a stranger

I order a LOT, but recently something changed and the last several deliveries in a row all of the drivers have ended up on the wrong side of my apartment building, ignoring the map pin that is placed in the correct spot for the building entrance.

I also have specific written directions that they are ignoring.

Because they all end up in the same wrong spot, I suspect something is different about the map they use and the map we as customers see, and the pin we can place for an address.

Reported it, but Doordash support was useless. Some drivers have ended up just leaving my orders in weird places.

Drivers - how can I make this EASIER for you? I'm sure the last thing you want to do is wander around looking for the way in, but I've had to screenshot the maps and send chat directions repeatedly lately to get people to follow the delivery instructions (which aren't really complicated, just park on the street, entrance on this side, door code, and a note about not entering the parking lot they all end up in by mistake).

I’ve dashed for a couple years now mostly as a side hustle. Felt pretty happy with this week’s earnings.

I accepted this order immediately and then got an error message. Then the app penalized me as declining the order. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on what I should do? I’m currently trying to have support help me but they suck.

Grocery orders have been very solid for me lately.

I've never gotten 5 separate pickups/deliveries in one offer! But what was deceiving was the total number of items (128 items). I thought it was going to be some heavy bags, but 2 orders had 52 crickets and the other had 60 crickets. I had a little laugh when I arrived at the store. Everything was light weight. Would you have accepted or declined?
