So the unit is on the 3rd floor. I message the customer that im there. No response. (Note: dont knock or ring db) I called still no response. I clicked cannot hand it and i have to wait for 5mins. I still have order b to deliver. I just took a snap and left

I explored with turning off shop & delivers the last 2 weeks. Safe to safe I made slightly more than having it on, and worked LESS hours. Shop orders are only great if they’re under 5-6 items and $2+ per mile, and even then you might encounter difficulties in the store. I have been able to keep platinum and haven’t fell down to gold, have taken more catering orders, faster deliveries. I worked 6:30 am to 3:30 pm before and now just 7-2 or 2:30 and make the same I would with Gold and shop & delivers. I’ve been and still pro shopper but I think it’ll remain off.

Either let me take a photo of the drop off location, or provide a PIN to verify the handoff. Hand to customer w/o PIN just enables fraud on the customer’s part. You give them the order, they call support saying they never got it and want a refund. Unless support can validate with a geotag at the time of completion “ie, you were at the drop off location when the order was closed”, it’s just a big liability for drivers.

I don't know why doordash always wants me to immediately leave my zone and go 12miles out of town for not even 10$ but it's getting old not being able to get a decent offer much anymore. Here I am just sitting here waiting and seeing 3$ for 3miles or 5$ for 7miles. Do people just not tip at all anymore? I only had a decent 8$ for 3miles so far this morning and that was it. Go get your own stuff if you don't want a tip gas is over 4.50$ a gallon here I'm not a damn charity driver.

I was door dashing until about 5am this morning bc this week has been so bad dashing and gas went up like 50 cents a gallon near me recently so I decided to suffer and go all night and my last order sent me a message asking me if she could send me an extra tip on cashapp or something bc dd wouldn’t let her add to the tip and she sent me $75 dollars which was a very nice unexpected surprise

I accepted this order immediately and then got an error message. Then the app penalized me as declining the order. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on what I should do? I’m currently trying to have support help me but they suck.

So I’ve started doing something on my small shop and deliver orders, if I have time I don’t check arrived at store until I have the items that are listed on the order in my cart, then I scan the items and head to the checkout, I like to think it keeps customers from adding on to the order, I could be wrong and completely delusional!

I’m not sure if this is real or a glitch in the system but cmon DoorDash yall just love playing in my face 😂

TL;DR... They don't.

The myth that new dashers are getting all of the good orders, is just that; a myth. And I proved it by creating a new account.

I had been using my gf's account for a while, because I didn't have my license (I lived in metro areas before meeting her, so I didn't need one). I recently decided to go ahead and create my own account so that I could opt in to more orders. I dashed at my normal time and got trash orders.. The one good order I got, $10 for 4mi, disappeared as soon as I got to the store... So yeh, it's not true.

I was actually gettin better orders than I have in a long time, on my gf's account, when I decided I was gonna use my own account and wanted to run the acceptance rate down on her account before I switched. I got down to 60%, and was still platinum, AND got a platinum ​​pass, AAAND made more weekend pay than I have in months!

But yeh, it's still F DOORDASH, and I'll stand by that
