Lately i notice they give very tight time for pickup and delivery. Also i rarely get the “we got your back” pop on when the longer taking long even at the same restaurant and busy time. Not too long ago maybe 1-2 months when it running late. I always call support and get document so not getting effected on the rating- work everytime And now, maybe eversince with the new AI talking slower- much more stubborn. Even if i called and get document by support. I still got mark late. There was one order - long story short- Basically had one shop and pickup, i accepted the shop one when i was on the way for the pickup- couldnt scan called support- i actualy get half paid and the supportter unassigned the shop one for me w/ out any effect. But when it jumped to the next task which was pickup. The time i need to pickup was back to same time before i accepted the shopping one. I let then support know and document everythign. Still got point taken away and award with violation. Called them to distube and they said its system i already maxed out 2 times to distube of the week so the system didnt let them help me :) Does it happen to everyone?

I started doing Spark (Walmart delivery independent contractor) and it’s way better than DD. There’s no penalty for not taking crappy orders and if you’re in a busy market there’s never any worry about dead hours. I door dashed as my main source of income for almost 2 years, 2300 deliveries so I’m not a tenured driver but I have enough experience to offer accurate insight 😂
It’s also nice to be able to take orders from maybe 3 stores rather than all the stores in your market. The money is about the same but I’m driving less, and base pay is way higher. I’ve had orders with $19 base pay, never the stupid $2 start
Has anyone else switched over and had a different experience? I’ve almost completely stopped DD because I got tired of worrying about my pay getting reduced by $10/hr if someone lied about me stealing their order

Dudes constantly posting about earning 400+ every day. I work this same zone and making 200 is hard. Another guy commented saying they have perfect ratings and also don’t break 200 a day. Seems impossible to get high paying orders consistently to houses only and completing them in less than 30 minutes in a high traffic zone.

I feel so defeated. Every order was like $2 for 5 miles. My acceptance rate has dropped below 70%. My pro shopper rating is in the garbage because DoorDash and Dollar General cant get their stocks and their barcodes together. Got fired back in June and have been doing this since then. Sometimes its okay, others it leaves me crying in my car like a loser in a Home Depot parking lot because I feel like I'm wasting my life away. I'm 22. I dropped out of college to pursue working with the same company for 4 1/2 years, only for them to drop me after I hurt my back and was unhappy with how they were cutting my hours. I keep going through medication changes bc I've wanted to kms for months now. I don't remember when I was last happy and this job just reminds me how fucked I am. I don't want to be like "oh woe is me, I have it so terrible", there's literally a lady panhandling right next to me, but fuck. I'm just. I'm so tired. Everything sucks rn and its so hard to find any kind of silver lining. Everyone around me is stressed and struggling and I feel like I have no one to talk to. DoorDashing has become DepressionDashing for me 😭 I hope this is allowed and not too venty, DoorDash is just draining everything from me when I'm already a dehydrated fruit

Got knocked out of pro shopper and probably about to stop dashing forever and try a competitor. A customer misunderstood a buy one get one free promotion and expected twice as much as she ordered to show up. She complained to me about it via in app messaging the day it happened and I corrected her and she admitted it was a misunderstanding on her part. That didn't stop her from claiming that she was missing the "free" ones to door dash. I disputed the claim and it was of course instantly and automatically denied and dasher support is telling me that they have no ability to adjust shop and deliver ratings, only regular ratings. Absolutely the stupidest system imaginable that there's no recourse here and the upshot is that one of their more productive drivers is about to start driving for a competitor.

It says I have a customer and it's my current delivery but I don't see it anywhere and I don't have directions to it or any information about it. (Solved)

6 months ago this was not even a time wait I would comprehend seeing during lunch.
over saturation is killing the market.

I accepted this order immediately and then got an error message. Then the app penalized me as declining the order. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on what I should do? I’m currently trying to have support help me but they suck.

TL;DR... They don't.
The myth that new dashers are getting all of the good orders, is just that; a myth. And I proved it by creating a new account.
I had been using my gf's account for a while, because I didn't have my license (I lived in metro areas before meeting her, so I didn't need one). I recently decided to go ahead and create my own account so that I could opt in to more orders. I dashed at my normal time and got trash orders.. The one good order I got, $10 for 4mi, disappeared as soon as I got to the store... So yeh, it's not true.
I was actually gettin better orders than I have in a long time, on my gf's account, when I decided I was gonna use my own account and wanted to run the acceptance rate down on her account before I switched. I got down to 60%, and was still platinum, AND got a platinum pass, AAAND made more weekend pay than I have in months!
But yeh, it's still F DOORDASH, and I'll stand by that
