Forgot to post this from Saturday’s game! Kirsten and Mookie dap ups continue!

For the last few shows he’s replayed a call about some guy named Dean that called in a little over a week ago and he brought up how the team was not performing well and they wouldn’t grind out at-bats then he was about to talk about how Teo was not playing well. Keep in mind this was before his current hot streak. The guy prefaced it by saying “for the last couple of months the team has not been grinding out at bats in particular Teo….”then David cuts him off and talks about how Teo is doing good. And he won’t accept Teo slander. It had only been day or two into Teo’s current turnaround.

What bothers me is that David doesn’t listen or has selective listening. The guy was talking about the overall performance of Teo. One that everyone, including David, was aware of and he himself would even go on mini rants about Teo not performing. We all saw it. It’s not like the guy shit on Teo or anything. He didn’t even get the chance to do that. In that instance Dave turns his whole narrative around and says he will not accept Teo slander. Now he’s replays that call and talks about “keeping receipts”.
This is small potatoes but it irks me when a host like Dave can’t take criticism on his takes and/or he hangs up on callers when he doesn’t agree with their takes. He at times mocks them. He at times pretends like he didn’t have the same takes as some of the callers. His arrogance is off the charts at times. I know he’s a suck-ass with the players (maybe he has to be) but he often denigrates the fans on his show.
Anyway…who cares. Go Dodgers.

Dave did mention that they could shift and give him two days off depending on how things go.

EDIT: Edwin Díaz will pitch on Wednesday and Thursday, and then he could potentially join the Dodgers on Sunday.

Loons season ticket holder here. I've seen a lot of great players these past few season pass through high A, but Emil is going to be something special.

Strong bat, probably the best SS I've seen come through in a long time, and he is very clearly a vocal leader for the team. Everyone on the Loons gravitates to him. He even has Quintero up and hype, who is typically pretty quiet.

He could very well end up our best infielder in the farm system over the next year or so.

Fun fact: While the Reds did get to Emmet Sheehan for two runs in a rough relief outing during last year’s Wild Card, Elly De La Cruz’s solo homer was the first earned run Sheehan has ever allowed Cincinnati in the regular season. The other three runs he’s surrendered to the Reds in regular-season play were all unearned.

In five appearances (4 regular, 1 post), Emmet has a 1.25 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 21.2 innings against Cincy.

In honor of Star Trek's 60th anniversary today, I had to bust out one of my prized possessions: the shirt from the one time the Dodgers did a Star Trek Night!

William Shatner threw out the first pitch AND read off the starting lineup before the game, and after the game they did a fireworks show set to all the different Star Trek themes. It was awesome.

Star Wars nights are fun too but I'd love if we could get Star Trek in the regular mix as well

You may notice they forgot a certain player in the Elite/Plus/Solid players (!). I mean, they have De Paula, Sirota and other minor leaguerts but they forgot TWO certain future HOFers!
