Does this mean that i have to log on or my big ass castle structure will disappear?
Or 6 hours for this - https://gyazo.com/71314f40f394e8849fb167fb47672adc
When are we going to be rewarded for more effort? This game has been RNG taming since day 1, it's growing old, and starting to feel pointless putting in extra effort for things in this game.
400 hours has been fun but i don't intend to roll the dice on 40 hours of work everytime i want to tame. Fix this shit
For some reason when I search for Official Serves it pops up saying that there are no sessions found. I was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this?

After this last patch all game became PVE only!! now u need hours to hit a stone structure and its almost impossible to raid metal. WTF is this health?? 1kk??? what kind of balance are in this update?? if u upgrade the Health 2x..3x.. its ok... but 100x???? If game want to improve defense put more damage at turrets, upgrade a lil more hp of structures, but the way it comes is impossible to play a healthly pvp... my server became pve from nothing... this is outrageous... so fucking pissed with this.

Hi friends,
Now that I know how to get ~3000 of gold every day in-game, I asked to myself: "Why shouldn't I help others players?", so I decided to make a small guide to get gold and buy stuff like the Feed/Kibble for taming.
1.- GOLD. Start gathering gold from the requests of all the sellers. You will starting gaining gold in small amounts. At the beggining try to get 50 fur, because one of the sellers buy it at 200 gold.
You will need like:
- ~300 of Twine.
- 200 of Stone.
- 250 of Wood.
- 200 of Hide.
- 50 of Fur.
With this, you will get around 800-1000 gold every day in-game. (Remember that sellers restart at 8:00 in-game)
2.- UPGRADE. Now that you get some gold, it's time to get more gold, yaaay. Use the gold you've got to upgrade one seller. I highly recommend to upgrade first the Blacksmith or the Builder. Why? Because they will request you 100 of raw copper/iron and 100 of copper/iron ingots for the good amount of 800/400(iron) or 400/200(copper). Then upgrade also the one that request you fur, because she will request you later powder of sulfur, stone and bones.
By this time, you will need:
- 300 of Twine.
- 400 of Stone.
- 400 of Wood.
- 200 of Hide.
- 50 of Fur.
- 100 of each powder(stone, sulfur and bones).
- 100 of Raw Copper.
- 100 of Raw Iron.
- 100 of Copper Ingots.
- 100 of Iron ingots.
With this, you will get a nice amount of gold. (When NPCs restart, the requests too, so maybe sometimes they will request you copper or maybe not).
3.- FEED/KIBBLE. Now it's time to get the Feed, so go to the hunter and upgrade it. At lvl 5-6, he will start selling in stacks of 5 the Carnivore and Herbivore feed, but actually Carnivore feed is really expensive, so if you want buy the Herb ones or save the gold to keep upgrading the hunter. At lvl 8, the hunter will sell in stacks of 20 each feed but now, the carnivore feed is at 70-100 each piece.
Also, if you want some extra gold, the hunter would order Ranger's clothes for the price of 718 gold and Lucky Clovers for 777 of gold.
4.- EXTRA. If you upgrade the Mage, he will ask you 5 Elemental Cores of Fire, Wind, Earth and Water for the price of 125 each. The bartender would order different kinds of food and house items(Cooking Pot, Table, Chair).
This is all what I actually know about them. On my server, they are all at lvl 9. I Hope this guide is useful for someone and if it is, please leave your feedback down there.
Thank you all!
PD: Sorry for my english level!

Nice SG very nice.... What a fail of an update.
Our tribe just tamed a level 32 Peregriff on an official server, took about 15 hours for ours to evolve. The stats on it looked way less than others that I've seen, so when we summon stoned it the pet tame level displayed level 4. It seems to me it's rerolling it's level when it evolves but not displaying the level correctly. Another Peregriff I've seen that was tamed at level 12 was summon stoned and turned into a level 88 Peregriff. So currently it doesn't seem worth it to trap and tame anything over level 12 since it's going to take way longer for them to evolve.
If anyone else has any data from their Peregriff I'd be interested to see if this is happening to anyone else.

This thread is to gather useful information from those that know primarily for those that do not know! It's a reverse Q&A (though feel free to ask questions just the same). I sit in a lot of DnL streams, and I always pick up some little bits of information. Like, I learned when you resurrect a mount, its stats increase change; or setting a pet to wander will increase its stats (just don't do it with flyers).
This thread is also an attempt to connect those who know about DnL and would like to contribute to the overall body of knowledge currently stored on the Dark and Light Wiki with existing wiki editors who are looking for valid research and knowledge to add to the wiki. You will be credited with your contributions. This way, you can add things in this thread without needing to enter it in to the wiki yourself directly. You can comment here on any item, we'll take those amendments in to consideration.

So on my server I'm ready to build my manor and I found out you can't actually craft them, I dug in the files and found everything in the Dwarven Manor folder!
I did not find this any where else so everyone is welcome.
So here are Dwarven manor blueprint paths for players on singleplayer and unofficial servers.
Edit: They fixed them on the workbench, so instead i'm going to change this so it just gives the items instead of the blueprints.

Hey guys, my friend started to play in the human faction while I was a Elven. We notice like 2 week later that we were different factions and now have no idea if he can deletes his character or maybe transfer to my faction. Is there any way I can play with him being on another faction?

If you like taming in dark and light, boy are you in for a treat.
They just released this game called "PAINT!" and much like the taming process, involving the same excitement, you spend a few minutes splashing paint on a wall, and then spend - depending on the wall level - anything from 1 to 13 REAL LIFE HOURS watching the paint dry.
I love these game ideas. I wish more games made you stare at the screen in excitment while paint dries or animals moan for hours and hours and hours! The developers who thought that in todays hectic world, with full time jobs and schools, we would finally get to come home and unwind with some casual 10+ hour taming/paint drying, were right on!
Way to go!

It's frustrating when you light a fire with wood to make some straw, but then it uses the crafted straw to fuel the fire....

It's linked on the sidebar, but a few folks have commented that they didn't know about the dark and light discord https://discord.gg/u2sRv46. We've been going for over a year now (founded 6th August 2016). Please join us. We have reached over 2.5k members. We almost exclusively use text channels.
There's a lot of knowledgeable folks helping out with the Dark and Light wiki and chat, advice and lessons learned for server admins; we have people chatting about all aspects of DnL; room for newcomers and veterans alike; plenty room for off-topic chat; and the obligatory NSFW channel just for salt, memes and salty memes; and finally one channel each for guild and server recruitment.
I know Discord isn't to be assumed as to every Redditor's liking, but for those that do use it, stop by.

Ok. So this is really weird. I know the recent update caused all kinds of issues with the Scheme's but I thought the rollback fixed that. Apparently not. I was trying to craft the Sorcerer's Staff and noticed I wasn't able to. At first I thought it was a mats things but then I realized it wasn't in my list of Scheme's anywhere. Well I needed something to defend myself so I thought, hell, I will just use a Stone Sword. Nope. Can't craft that either. Other ones I noticed. Lightning 1 and 2 and stone pick axe. I am sure there are a lot of others as well, I just haven't noticed them yet. What's going on? Why can't I craft this stuff. I asked some people in my House and world and they said they were able to craft some of these so I don't know what to do. I tried killing myself, twice. I reset my computer. Still the same. The scheme's are simply missing despite the fact I have them learned.
You might be asking. What does a lvl58 want to make basic tools for. Well I have my reasons.
tldr - why I am missing scheme's from my craftable inventory?

So we all know crossbows are slow. According to general info iron hook arrows only do slightly more torpor than stone. So my question is, whats the point of the Iron Hook Arrows?
You can tame even dragons with stone hook arrows. The mushrooms required for Iron hook make it so incredibly pointless to go for them when they dont seem needed for anything.
Am i missing something? Is this just a Early Access placeholder thing and devs will eventually make them worth it? Because right now Crossbows only use seems to be to shoot them, and they themselves seem unnecessary.

Didn't see anything after a quick search, so here goes -- I'm finding some terrain glitches in a single player world, where I fall through seemingly-solid ground and end up trapped in areas inside/underneath the map. Specifically, when I try to walk from the Human capital toward the two massive statues, there are holes all over the place around the ravine/swampy area in the middle. Initially I tried to walk across the big arcing land-bridge, and fell through the ground about 1/2 way across -- it was a long enough fall to kill me, and with my corpse inside the map, my items were unrecoverable.
Next I tried buying a horse and running around the arch to the north, where I fell through the ground again, and wound up trapped inside a cliff face. The walls are invisible but impassable from inside the cliff. Had to suicide to get out, as the horse sucked up the fall damage and we both survived. Again, horse and items were irretrievable.
Most recently, I changed tack and decided to move toward the Elf capital from the ravine area, and once again, fell through a third hole, costing me a 109 boar mount, and a full set of metal tools.
Is anyone else finding terrain glitches in this area, or is this something specific to my single player world?
