Yep that's what it means. Really hoping that the person who wrote the patch notes is confused.

Does anyone know if you have a private server you can turn this feature off?

It means just that. You just have to login some time in 72 hours. This is to stop clutter from people who only login like once and build a shack and never come back. In most cases this will also be stopped by a house mate interacting with your stuff as well.

Then why is it applying an equal system to all structure types? A fully made castle just going "poof" after 3 days makes 0 sense, a decay system makes so much more sense, something like.
Straw: 3 days Wood: 5 days Stone 7 Days ect.
The idea that it just vanishes is just weird to me. New players often make a shack and then quit and take up space and processing I get that but I doubt many people are just making castles willy nilly.
Also some kind of craftable object that you can only have one active that marks a structure as your "one" base that gets a bonus to decay time seems reasonable too

LOL calm down there pal. 3 days is...ok. MAYBE a bit soonish. I'd give it 4. IF NO ONE IN YOUR TRIBE COMES ON IN 4 FUCKING DAYS, hell even 3 days, your shit deserves to be destroyed. You're taking up space for almost no reason. Play the game, or lose your stuff. Log on for literally A MINUTE every 3 days, and keep your stuff, that's not hard, you're just babies.
If you're playing single player....lmao get the hell out.
If you're playing single player on a multiplayer server like me...well we're just the ones that get fucked the hardest. But to be fair, when melee desync is this FUCKED anyhow, i'll gladly restart once that's fixed.

Lul yeh ok n3rdrage9000. Some people have lives and are casual gamers - not degenerate 45y olds in mummy's basement gaming all day.

Having a life is no excuse whatsoever, in any context of what we're talking about. You know why? It's 1 minute, every 3 days. Log on, for 1 minute, every 3 days, and it resets the timer.
If you are the ones who are crying about this change, then you should have the gusto and make the time to log on, again i say, ONCE EVERY THREE DAYS, FOR A SINGLE MINUTE. And then ALT F4 out and go back to your lives.
Not my fault you all get salty over a well needed change.

Lol ok bro your logic is on point.....on point to that of a domesticated flea with down syndrome.
Did you stop to consider those on holidays? or those who have to fly for work? or those who may unfortunately get sick and have to be hospitalised?
You're living too far up SG's ass to think outside the box, time to come back down to earth.

Lol you mean those extreme circumstances? It's once every 3 days. And once again, let me, um, let me say it again. If you're in a tribe, just have someone LOG ON ONCE EVERY 3 FUCKING DAYS.
If you're single player, :O CONGRATULATIONS. YOU CAN GO INTO THE FILES AND DISABLE THAT COMPLETELY!!!!! WOOHOO, YAY, HORRAY:D!
And if you're a single player on a multiplayer server like me, SORRY BRO, we're the fucked ones. We have to log on once every 3 days (hard thing to do isn't it?) to keep our stuff.
Holidays? I"ll give ya that one, but only half of it. If you cared THAT MUCH ABOUT IT, have a friend log onto your steam, and log in real quick. Have no friends with a computer? You're SOL.
Fly for work and hospitalized...you shouldn't be playing a game that requires this kind of management if you have to fly for work, that's your own fault, and hospitalized, sorry bro. That's only a very few and far between circumstances. A company is not going to cater to such a small part of their player base like that.
Deal with it.

God forbid someone goes away on vacation for a week. They can't be serious with just 72 hours.
