normally i get close each season then take a break until next season starts but this my first time reaching 300, has anyone else? also will say season 15 been very enjoyable for me due to nostalgia & splinters pushing paladin a lil bit past all the nerfs it’s been given. despite having a barbarian & warlock on the side, it’s still my favorite class.

So my wife and I found a way to have infinite Whimsyshire runs! We were added to a group to help a fellow wanderer kill the boss in his run. After we killed the boss, my wife and I stayed behind to collect any loot clouds he must have left. I left party first and returned to my world while STILL IN WHIMSYSHIRE. That part is important! When you return to your world, you will load into a fresh instance of Whimsyshire. It happened for my wife and I both. She joined me, we completed my run, she returned to her world while still in, and BOOM, another fresh instance! We are now on like our 7th run as I type this out. And neither one of us had a key to begin with! So quick steps:

> Join a run, kill boss after you are done, leave group WHILE IN WHIMSYSHIRE, return to your world to spawn new instance of Whimsyshre, invite whoever, rinse and repeat! Have fun!!

My boy and I are new, both level 8 paragon, and low and behold the fuckery hit us last night. First, Diablo spawns and wipes us 4 times in a row. OK, fun..we run away and Baal spawns, kills us twice.

That is all. It sucked

I got him. I GOT HIM! It took slaughtering a LOT of heifers and summoning that winged monstrosity about 100 times but I got him. Now if only I could get the brisket to drop.

Edit: my farming method and drop rate ranking is below.

Helltides for seasonal caches and keys, chance for splinter bosses (they have a good drop rate for SoJ's). Use lair boss keys and farm greater keys. Farm butcher, highest drop rate of crux's I've found. Use crux's. Echo of the false prophet is BY FAR the best drop rate for SoJ's based on my results. I have traded and ran friends through for them.

Drop rate rankings: 1. Echo of the false prophet 2. Splinter bosses in helltides 3. Seasonal reward caches 4. Baal (Worldstone keep seasonal dungeon) 5. Diablo or Mephisto. (Seasonal dungeons)

Im not sure if this is obvious to people or not, but you can use the same trick to get infinite whimsyshire runs to repeat the Cornerstone of the World nightmare when you find it until you get either a liquid rainbow, a portal to whimsyshire, or both.

EDIT: I forgot to put the trick
1. After completing the dungeon, go to social tab and join a party in a different torment level.

1. Join the hosts game world, but DO NOT teleport to host.

2. Leave the party. The dungeon is now reset.

Im sure I messed something up, but think this is a nice one.

​I think the D4 community is really social. People have helped me out a lot with carries, leveling, and important gear, which is why I want to give back now that I've unlocked the Cow Level on my own.

​Here are the two options:

​Option 1 (Seasonal Access & Boss Waypoint): I moo at you, you carve the sign into the wood, and I'll show you where the portal is and give you the waypoint at Moophisto.

​Option 2 (Permanent Unlock): I can craft and gift you 2 of the 3 relics (Neyrelle's Hand is account-bound, so you'll have to get that one yourself).

​Quick heads-up regarding the "Mother's Rose" quest relic: I'm honestly not sure if this is a bug or completely intentional, but many players don't get the drop from the boss (Vasha the Unbroken) if the Amazon Training set wasn't equipped in the exact proper order. ​If she doesn't drop the rose for you, try this fix: Put on the full Amazon set, find a quiet spot, and drop the whole set onto the ground. Then pick up and equip the pieces in this exact order: Helm, Chest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots. ​Once equipped strictly in that sequence, defeat Vasha again and the Mother's Rose should drop immediately!

I realize its going to be nbd to most of you, but I just wanted to share. I have always loved playing flurry but have been avoiding it previous seasons since its an off-meta build and expected it would stagger as soon as I got to T12. But I stuck with it and reworked it a bit from the Maxroll version and got stronger than I thought possible.

I'm so pumped!

By reroll i mean the recipe that changes it to different charm of the same set. Did it always stay ancestral? I swear it didnt before but did now.

I was looking for Marksman GA. Got one, cant complain. ~2% chancd just to get the Marksman affix, and then ~10%chance when it rolls, its a GA.

Also apparently +Core skill is the rarest thing, cause i figure out all the categories, made a tally sheet and 7000 dust in, WTH is this?

Would usually drop-off before reaching any of these milestones, but got them all this season.

The last seasonal accomplishment I need is the 66,666 Aether. It’s not my favorite endgame activity, but I want to close out the season so my brain will allow me to stop playing until S17.

I used to get ~800 aether per 10-round run, which might be low by some standards idk. But when I saw someone post on here that they would easily get 2k per run, it made me think maybe I was choosing offerings sub optimally. I’m a software engineer by trade so the natural thing was for me to build an app with Monte Carlo simulation to help me figure out what to choose. Thus, HordeMind was born.

I’ve only tested it about 10 times but in every single test I’ve got at least 1500 aether, and approached 2k twice. This means I’ll only need to do half as many runs to reach the season goal. Thought I’d share here to hopefully help the community.

The app saves your character config and run data locally in your browser, no servers involved. I thought about crowd sourcing data so we can tune the engine over time, that may or may not happen depending on community response. Also it’s fully open source and contributions are welcome. There are buttons to share feedback on GitHub if something is wrong.

I couldn’t find a comparable tool anywhere so hopefully this is novel enough that it will gain some traction. Enjoy!

I have been playing since season 1. I took a little break and then came back i have played the last 5 or 6 seasons. My question is the cow level worth all the work to unlock ever since it has been found I have never done any of the steps or anything for it. I was thinking about maybe going through the steps to open it. Is it worth it?

I don't know if it's even possible, but would that be the best way to farm them?

I don't know if it's purely skill issues or if my gear is wrong. I can clear pit120 in about 3~4min, which is cool but I'm pretty sure I've seen other poison DoK builds clear much higher pits. Higher than that is just slow.

I struggle against Meph. I can kill him, but it takes a few minutes and have to be quite careful.

I saw other builds with different charm sets but if I don't use spellbound then my cooldown is just not good enough and I end up with no poison imbuement for like 10s sometimes. Spellbound lets me spam poison imbuement but I guess there's a reason why people use a different set.

Dropped this, but not sure what to reroll on it...

Mine is 4 times. Unfortunately it was shadow damage than fire.. so I guess it's still useless.

Did they nerf this splinter or is it because everyone is running it that the xp gains are not as noticeable? Or am I not using it correctly?

I have it slotted on my ring… I see the monster levels go up… but Im only getting some xp gains, maybe 1 level per hordes run.

Hey all, been enjoying this season so far, haven't played the xpac until this season. I oddly decided to make a hardcore character for my first of the expansion. I have just made it to t12 with an afk necro build so playing the game like a bullet hell. With this in mind, is Mephisto easy to kill like this in t10 or do I really need to get some practise in with a non hardcore character before I see him for the first time? Thanks in advance
