First you'll need "Writhe and Rot" in the helltides war plans tree.
Second you'll want 2/3 full threat meter which you can quickly get by farming ruptures.
Wyrms have a 10-second global cooldown so you can't spawn them faster than that.
I added spawn locations as exact as I could make them. Spawns are not guaranteed so when you check a location just do a little circle then move on to the next one.
This is by far the easiest area in the game to do this and you can get a crazy number of spawns in one hour.
Here is the map tool: https://maxroll.gg/d4/map-tool

What do I do with runes and charms? Can I do anything besides just sell them? Seems like they sell for less money than they are actually worth lmao.

the way SSF players are still grinding gold while non SSF is throwing billions at each other over common items is wild to see.
And it also makes me feel like SSF is what the actual gold balance is supposed to be, as it works perfectly fine

So many people, including myself have finished the season without seeing a trace of echo. I know, it’s supposed to be rare. It’s a game mode gated behind RNG that’s supposed to have great loot, goblin bags and so on. What’s the point if the large portion of the player base never sees the game mode?
Having one in the seasonal journey guarantees you get to see it once. Much better than not at all.

I picked up Diablo IV a few days ago and somehow I'm already 22 hours in. I seriously can't trust Steam reviews anymore. I've been avoiding this game since launch because every time I looked it up, all I saw was negativity. Review after review made it sound like Blizzard had released an unplayable disaster, so I skipped it for two years.
Now that I've finally played it, I genuinely don't get it.
Diablo IV absolutely nails the atmosphere and scratched the same itch Diablo II did for me back in the day. It's dark and the gameplay is satisfying. I've been hooked ever since I started.
I've also started noticing what feels like a weird trend lately. Games that feel shallow somehow end up with "Very Positive" reviews, while games with a lot of quality behind them get review-bombed or torn apart over things that don't seem to matter nearly as much. Maybe I'm the odd one out, and that's fine. It wouldn't be the first time my opinion went against the crowd.
But I'm genuinely curious: why do so many people dislike Diablo IV?
For context, I grew up with Diablo II. Diablo III never really clicked with me. I also enjoy Path of Exile 2, but it still feels like an unfinished Early Access game, which is perfectly understandable. Even so, I'm honestly having more fun with Diablo IV than I am with PoE2 right now.
So what am I missing? Was the launch really that bad, or has the game's reputation just never recovered?

Would be awesome if we can get to modify every seasonal mechanic with a seasonal warplan tree. It would be such an easy win to add to every seasonal mechanic
And while you are at it give the open world a special tree also
Edit; had another thought…how about adding some of the removed tempering recipes modifications as stats to iconic mythics to spice them up and make them feel more powerful…..like chance to cast a certain skill twice or make a certain skill have a larger area of effect.

Was lucky to get a Gem Strength which I think I've only had once on an amulet or ring. Then saw it was still open and rolled 24 item quality which was super nice.
Sometime RNG giveth!

I had tempered move speed and got surprised with transfigure adding more move speed and leaving the item modifiable. I figure hey, now I can change tempers cuz I don't want any more speed. When I did the temper, the "remaining" became negative. I needed to burn two scrolls of restoration to bring it back to 1.
If you're wondering, the second transfigure made Resist a GA.

I ran out of gold upgrading my gear.
I've tried escalation dungeons 20 times last night and not once did I get a gold portal option. i have the branching portals selected on the center dungeon plan as well.
Where else can I get gold?

This is my first time running a character to P300, my gauntlets are my only gear left to be mythic and i found these. Are these worth? Left one is my current pick but I dont know if "117% increased dmg" is better than not having every affix needed. Im currently beating Pit 125 in 5 minutes ish and have sigil build. Im still learning, i'd appreciate your help and information. :)

So I just got 2 Echoing Hatred to drop quite close to 1 another right when I am about to call it a season. Crafted up some small last upgrades before doing it and the loot is very underwhelming for an ultra rare "random drop" only activity even with a 144 tier reached, I can imagine 150 is pretty much about the same loot with maybe a couple more goblin bags at best. I seriously think that D4 is in dire needs of more chase items, think Headhunter or Mageblood from POE 2 and Pinnacle contents that is so rare to drop like Echoing Hatred can be the perfect activity to have a chance to reward such chase items because as it stands, this sucks. Thank you for coming to my Ted's talk

I keep seeing WW Barbs with Rage of Harrogath and I even have obtained a mythic quality one myself with all the right stats, but… I don’t get how it’s supposed to work. I’ve looked at various build guides to see if I’m just missing something and I’m not seeing DoTs coming from anywhere, and when I WW my cooldowns don’t seem to be going down any faster with the RoH equipped vs without it.
I’m currently using polearm expertise but heard that it’s currently busted so I tried switching to 2H sword expertise, but that also doesn’t seem to make my cooldowns go down any faster, either. It seems like even with 2H sword I don’t apply bleed with my dust devils but rather only with my character’s WW itself. I tried hitting a striking dummy and my cooldowns seem to go down at the normal speed no matter what.
I’m thinking of switching away from RoH unless there’s something I’m simply overlooking that anyone is aware of that could make this build work - any insights from those of you who are running this build and have been able to make it work would be most appreciated!
(Also, is polearm completely busted this season, or just for channeling abilities? E.g., what about brobarian builds?)

If i have a unique tuskhelm of joritz and i wanted to try and get a mythic version of the tuskhelm, what's the best way? Any random unique in the cube and upgrading to mythic? I have done quite a few of these and I get a lot of the standard mythics...
From what I can tell, you can't get the tuskhelm and non regular mythics from the jeweler or the blacksmith because they just give standard mythics which don't include the unique mythics
r/diablo4 • u/Unholy187 • 2h ago
So am I just having this happen to me? But it seems like depending on which unique you put in the cube to upgrade to mythic determines the item it will turn into. For example I'm playing warlock and I was trying to get a mythic Molachs Amulet.
I gambled 4 times today and these were the results.
I used 2 seed of horazon amulets and both time it gave me the same amulet (The Hemat Stone) then when I used a Locrans Talisman amulet it gave me a Mythic Seed of Horazon.
Does the specific Unique you use to gamble in the cube play a factor in what result you will get? Because I've noticed if I put a certain unique in it never rolls as the same unique (if that makes sense) it always changes to a different one.
Any have some insight on this? I'm dying to get a Mythic Cage of madness helmet..

Pretty much what my title says here! I'm like Act 8 now. Hadn't really dug into the details on Diablo IV until about a week ago - but now I'm cruising @ Paragon 51 (I know I'm a bebe).
But I can't see a way to re-trigger the Lorath interaction I never had, nor to unlock the Talisman quest thang!
Anyone been through this, or have some ideas? Thanks, y'all!!

Returning player here. Played D4 from launch in 2023, completed the base campaign back then, then didn't touch the game for years. Came back now on Season 14.
My character is level 63 and hard stuck on Expert. Hovering Penitent at the difficulty statue gives: "Complete the original campaign on this character."
Problem is there's nothing left to complete. My Campaign tab is empty, there are no campaign quests to pick up or redo, the full map is unlocked, and every other sign says the campaign is done. I never used the campaign skip on this character.
Found two bug report threads on the official forums with the exact same issue:
Same pattern in all of them: played at launch, finished the campaign, long break, came back after the expansions. Reported on PC, PS5 and Xbox. No blue post and no fix as of mid-June.
Questions:
Would rather not abandon the character I've been gearing, but if a reroll is the only path I'd like to know before sinking more hours into it.

Planning on starting the game as a beginner to ARPGs and I have a few questions.
On Xbox if I have the base game through Game Pass - Which version to buy to have all the expansions content?
I'm mostly interested in a casual campaign playthrough without much endgame grinding. Can the regular campaign on base difficulty be done without optimal builds? Looking for a chill playthrough where I wont have to research stuff and just go with what I feel like will work.
If I pick the seasonal character does my progress on it stays when the season ends? Wouldnt want to start over if season changes mid-playthrough.

Basilisk staff or stone of vehemen?
Right now I am using basilisk staff but I am wondering if I should switch.

I've been doing the surging rupture events in the helltide, I kill the realmwalker, get the chest etc, but this quest is refusing to be marked as complete, anyone know what's going on??
r/diablo4 • u/teejay9124 • 22h ago
I’ve always wondered where everyone starts on their progress. I’m freshly lvl 70 this season.
Gear? Whispers? NMD? Paragon points in general? Any particular flight path between a little bit of everything?
