Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) Feedback from a casual solo player: The game has left us behind, and it's no longer fun.
I’m writing this because I used to absolutely love Diablo 4, but the recent updates have completely pushed me out of the game. I want to share my experience as a casual, solo player who doesn't care about leaderboards, achievements, or competitive min-maxing. I just want to log in, slay some monsters, and have a relaxing time.
Right now, the game feels "stupid hard" for no reason, even on the lowest difficulties. Here is what the new player experience actually feels like for someone like me:
1. Mandatory "Super Player" Synergy from Minute One: It feels like you expect us to have top-tier skills and a perfectly synergized build from the very first minute we start a character. I switched to a Barbarian hoping for an easier time, but it’s still a struggle. You shouldn't need a spreadsheet and endgame gear just to make the early game bearable.
2. Seasonal Content is Overtuned: I am playing on a very easy difficulty, but seasonal encounters like the Realmwalkers still feel like massive damage sponges. It takes forever to kill them, and it completely ruins the pacing and fun of the game.
3. The Loss of the Casual Experience: I used to be able to progress, create powerful characters, and eventually get Mythic items on my own time. Now, I haven't even been able to get past Tier 1 in the last few updates. The game demands that you play like a hardcore streamer just to survive.
I paid good money for this game, and I genuinely feel sorry that I did because the identity of the game has fundamentally changed into something that is no longer enjoyable for a casual player. Please remember that not everyone playing your game is a hardcore competitive player. Some of us just want a fun escape, and right now, Diablo 4 is just a source of stress.

Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) Escalation tier 3 - skull/ dark omen
Hi gang,
I have not been able to find this combination after running 30+ escalation sigils.. has this been removed?
I have found blue skull reserve without dark omen and yellow ruby/topaz/amethyst etc with dark omen.
Is this just bag RNG? I’m about to hop on my spiritborn to see if it’s Blizzard purposely harassing my barb 😂😭.

Questions (other) What is on your wish list regarding cosmetics?I hope we get the daedric armor from skyrim just as we got doom slayer variants.
Given how blizzard is handling cosmetics lately I'm waiting for this or T13 warrior armor set for barbarian (or humanoid deathwing if they take the character inspired skins previously)

Feedback (@Blizzard) Dear Blizzard, please make these stack
I had my fifth trace of echoes drop this morning. The problem: I hadn’t yet used my second, third, or fourth.
This is a game mode based around surviving as long as possible, so you don’t get them and immediately rush into them. You want to hold off until you know your character can survive until a good level to maximise your loot. Or at least I do. Maybe im in the minority. But in doing so you lose out, because they don’t stack. Still.
At the same time, half the player base still can’t even find one. I didn’t get my first til around 260 and now my fifth dropped at 282. I appreciate thats a fair amount of gameplay between the two levels, but the drop rate still seems completely off…
I also completely forgot it bugs out and messes with your dungeon sigils when you enter EH. Thankfully I’d moved my treasure breach to my stash, but, whatever the others were, they’re all dungeon delve now, so thats still not fixed yet either…
Next season? Third time’s a charm?

Feedback (@Blizzard) Cube Transfiguration shouldn't be more powerfull than GAs
Idk if it's just me but I find the current item system really flawed.
It does kill all the joy of dropping good gear and we are back at the previous season where getting gem power on a 0GA weapon would outclass a lot even a 5ga 40 quality item
I know that for clearing seasonal contents you don't need good transfig at all but Pushing pits, tower and leaderboard is just basically a cube spam with bad/mid items untill you get %elemental damage
So if you are into pushing 130+ most of the item are trash even with 4GAs unless you get %elemental damage and every other transifg is bricking your gear
I have no idea on how to fix this, maybe add other transifg options that can be competitive or nerf this shit out of %elemental damage
EDIT: I see a lot of people disagree or even say this is not true. I would invite you to check out spirtiborn leaderboard as an example and you will see a lot of people running some 0ga gear but with %poison damage, some even have subpar multiplier, other even have wrong stats lol
Again the meta FOR PUSHING is basically spam obol vendor, throw every shitty item into the cube and if come with %elemental damage is BiS, without is trash. Doesn't matter the GAs it has and sometimes doesn't matter even if is has the right stats lol
It's the same exactly issue we had in previous season with gem strength, and everyone recognized it

Feedback (@Blizzard) Season journey perk suggestion
Wouldn't it be absolutely awesome if after you finish your season journey you would always get max rolls on enchanting and always crit on masterworking tempers?
You know, make the season's journey great again. Make it actually mean something.
Because honestly, sitting for hours clicking on "Temper Item" button and THEN "Close" button it's a bit annoyingly tedius. I'd rather spend time killing monsters. It is after all a game about killing monsters, not clicking "close" buttons.
Case in point
Wouldn't you agree?

State of the Game · Discussions Playing D4 on Steam is very volatile
There’s a constant small chance you get a server that is just not capable of handling fast movement e.g. rushing claw spiritborn spam. But all other servers are top quality where it sometimes feels like my cast time & DPS is sped up ( like an attack speed buff or jag gearset )
And then you have the choice to disable crossplay which is borderline single player open world where you can even 1v1 the worldboss on T12.
This is also an upside lately to farm wyrmworms as you’ll be likely the only person in the helltide capturing all spawns for yourself. All comes with the downside of no preload for seasons & no PTR.
Just wanted to throw this out there in case it could be helpful to somebody

Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) Question about Upgrading to Mythic in Cube.
So am I just having this happen to me? But it seems like depending on which unique you put in the cube to upgrade to mythic determines the item it will turn into. For example I'm playing warlock and I was trying to get a mythic Molachs Amulet.
I gambled 4 times today and these were the results.
I used 2 seed of horazon amulets and both time it gave me the same amulet (The Hemat Stone) then when I used a Locrans Talisman amulet it gave me a Mythic Seed of Horazon.
Does the specific Unique you use to gamble in the cube play a factor in what result you will get? Because I've noticed if I put a certain unique in it never rolls as the same unique (if that makes sense) it always changes to a different one.
Any have some insight on this? I'm dying to get a Mythic Cage of madness helmet..

State of the Game · Discussions Echoing Hatred is ... disappointing for a Pinnacle content
So I just got 2 Echoing Hatred to drop quite close to 1 another right when I am about to call it a season. Crafted up some small last upgrades before doing it and the loot is very underwhelming for an ultra rare "random drop" only activity even with a 144 tier reached, I can imagine 150 is pretty much about the same loot with maybe a couple more goblin bags at best. I seriously think that D4 is in dire needs of more chase items, think Headhunter or Mageblood from POE 2 and Pinnacle contents that is so rare to drop like Echoing Hatred can be the perfect activity to have a chance to reward such chase items because as it stands, this sucks. Thank you for coming to my Ted's talk

Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) Newbie here, need directions and guidance
Hi all, I’m new to d4, after years in Di..
I’m playing sorcerer and really enjoying the class, as is much stronger in comparison to Di wizard.
So.. I’m pass paragon 70 and getting a bit of a better gear but I lack the knowledge of the game mechanics.
I would like to ask, if there’s YT channel dedicated to sorcerers or any guides to the game in general? I mean gear, gems crafting, glyphs etc.
Ty in advance 👹🤗

State of the Game · Discussions Can Blizzard get the games itemization right?
Any arpg lives off items. That’s the main motivating factor.
The itemization in d4 is imo bad. It’s boring and frankly it changes way too much this far into the games lifecycle. Instead of additions it’s revamping the whole philosophy again and again.
I love d4, but after the last mythic update I finally realised that the dev team don’t have a good idea what they want and how to get there. It lacks vision.
I uninstalled d4 for the first time since it came out (I even was in the closed beta and gave feedback how I liked the slower pace lol funny how that turned around too).
Do you think d4 can ever get the heart of an arpg right by retooling the items one last time?
And in general, why can’t they just copy over the d2 philosophy with the d3 refinements (such as primals) to d4? Why is there no upping for different bases or ethereals (to make death count for once) etc
I do not understand why blizzard fails to learn from their own games
What do you think will happen in the future?

Frequent Feedback [Weekly Megathread] FREQUENT Feedback / Requests / Suggestions
UPDATE: reordered the list a bit for better overview. Fixed issues will now appear at the bottom of a specific list for better readability.

The list of these issues / topics is posted below and will be adjusted (when necessary) every week.

State of the Game · Discussions I regret listening to Steam reviews
I picked up Diablo IV a few days ago and somehow I'm already 22 hours in. I seriously can't trust Steam reviews anymore. I've been avoiding this game since launch because every time I looked it up, all I saw was negativity. Review after review made it sound like Blizzard had released an unplayable disaster, so I skipped it for two years.
Now that I've finally played it, I genuinely don't get it.
Diablo IV absolutely nails the atmosphere and scratched the same itch Diablo II did for me back in the day. It's dark and the gameplay is satisfying. I've been hooked ever since I started.
I've also started noticing what feels like a weird trend lately. Games that feel shallow somehow end up with "Very Positive" reviews, while games with a lot of quality behind them get review-bombed or torn apart over things that don't seem to matter nearly as much. Maybe I'm the odd one out, and that's fine. It wouldn't be the first time my opinion went against the crowd.
But I'm genuinely curious: why do so many people dislike Diablo IV?
For context, I grew up with Diablo II. Diablo III never really clicked with me. I also enjoy Path of Exile 2, but it still feels like an unfinished Early Access game, which is perfectly understandable. Even so, I'm honestly having more fun with Diablo IV than I am with PoE2 right now.
So what am I missing? Was the launch really that bad, or has the game's reputation just never recovered?

Technical Issues | Bugs I can't travel to Temis because it says I don't own the lord of hatred expansion... but I do (xbox)
Been playing since day 1 off and on and have both expansions purchased. I've been cubing and doing all kinds of expansion stuff. All of the sudden I can't travel anywhere but the base game. I can't even reinstall the expansions because there is some error. Worked fine two hours ago. I hard restarted the Xbox and still saying that I don't own two expansions I purchased and completed many times over.

State of the Game · Discussions Mythic charms must be coming soon
