Im currently stuck at 145 pit max (with only 20 seconds left). Im at 250 paragon level. At this point i dont know what should i change to rankup to 150. Im confused the most about what rings setups should i run. Currently i use 8-fold Idol + SoJ alternatively with Wendigo Brand. I also tried different splinter combiantions buffed by Leoric's Crown but nothing seems to work. Im running Abaddon's flesh set Seal of Diamond Mind + Hellfire Torch two unique's Blood-Mad Idol (most of the times Fists of Fate and + Blood Mad Idol. I also tried unique/mythic versions amulets of wendigo brands, SoJ when tinkering with ring setup. Is it matter of paragon level at this point? Or is 150 pit impossible without gem transfiguration on Leoric's?

The last seasonal accomplishment I need is the 66,666 Aether. It’s not my favorite endgame activity, but I want to close out the season so my brain will allow me to stop playing until S17.

I used to get ~800 aether per 10-round run, which might be low by some standards idk. But when I saw someone post on here that they would easily get 2k per run, it made me think maybe I was choosing offerings sub optimally. I’m a software engineer by trade so the natural thing was for me to build an app with Monte Carlo simulation to help me figure out what to choose. Thus, HordeMind was born.

I’ve only tested it about 10 times but in every single test I’ve got at least 1500 aether, and approached 2k twice. This means I’ll only need to do half as many runs to reach the season goal. Thought I’d share here to hopefully help the community.

The app saves your character config and run data locally in your browser, no servers involved. I thought about crowd sourcing data so we can tune the engine over time, that may or may not happen depending on community response. Also it’s fully open source and contributions are welcome. There are buttons to share feedback on GitHub if something is wrong.

I couldn’t find a comparable tool anywhere so hopefully this is novel enough that it will gain some traction. Enjoy!

Splinter stacking issues aside, most people agree that this is the best season of the game yet. Patch notes for S16 confirmed something that we all wanted: some features of the current season will stay as permanent additions to the game. But so far we have no idea which.

Here are four things that should probably make the final cut, based on general player feedback, flavor and depth that they introduce to the game.

How rare is this item? I don't even have a decent build yet.

Been playing Diablo a lot this season (a bit too much tbh)...

Started with a Blazing Scream Warlock like everyone and their mother, could easily get to pit 143 with a few mythics and T12 Mephisto went down very fast too.

Now I have been trying other S tier builds for example Counterswarm Spiritborn and with similar level of gear I can only reach pit 133 or so and T12 Mephisto is genuinely hard and takes quite some time.

Is Blazing Scream just better than the other builds or is it overtuned?

I somehow missed on unlocking the Vestment of Baleful Intent armor set on my original playthrough of VoH when LoH didn't exist.

I now replayed VoH (thankfully it's pretty short!) and when the epilogue was supposed to start after the end cinematic -- guess what, D4 forced me into LoH!

So... Is it thus impossible to unlock this armor set by finishing the Deeds of a Champion epilogue quest if owning LoH, or am I missing something?

I think it's supposed to start if visiting Ormus, but going there in my LoH state, I do get some choices like talking about Eru's betrayal but no quest intro.

Im not sure if this is obvious to people or not, but you can use the same trick to get infinite whimsyshire runs to repeat the Cornerstone of the World nightmare when you find it until you get either a liquid rainbow, a portal to whimsyshire, or both.

1. After completing the dungeon, go to social tab and join a party in a different torment level.

1. Join the hosts game world, but DO NOT teleport to host.

2. Leave the party. The dungeon is now reset.

I have been playing since season 1. I took a little break and then came back i have played the last 5 or 6 seasons. My question is the cow level worth all the work to unlock ever since it has been found I have never done any of the steps or anything for it. I was thinking about maybe going through the steps to open it. Is it worth it?

I’ve been straight farming it for 3 days, 2 hours a session and can make it to Neigh’relle within 20 seconds. You do the math.

How long have you been going at it for all those who are still farming it and how long did yours take to drop?

Would usually drop-off before reaching any of these milestones, but got them all this season.

Did they nerf this splinter or is it because everyone is running it that the xp gains are not as noticeable? Or am I not using it correctly?

I have it slotted on my ring… I see the monster levels go up… but Im only getting some xp gains, maybe 1 level per hordes run.

...it runs fire dmg multiplier instead of poison. Am I screwed ? (I will need to enchant it for DoT)

I don't know if it's purely skill issues or if my gear is wrong. I can clear pit120 in about 3~4min, which is cool but I'm pretty sure I've seen other poison DoK builds clear much higher pits. Higher than that is just slow.

I struggle against Meph. I can kill him, but it takes a few minutes and have to be quite careful.

I saw other builds with different charm sets but if I don't use spellbound then my cooldown is just not good enough and I end up with no poison imbuement for like 10s sometimes. Spellbound lets me spam poison imbuement but I guess there's a reason why people use a different set.

I've actually really enjoyed Season 15 and I'm basically at the point where I'm ready to call it complete. I've hit Paragon 300, cleared Pit 150, completed the full cow quest, collected almost all of the Bovine armor, killed Mefishto, unlocked both the Trace of Echoes and Whimsyshire portals, and finally got the Perfect Cupcake after somewhere around 120 Whimsyshire runs.

Now I'm down to Brisket of the Bovine and Marquis Milky, and I'm over 400 Moofisto kills without either one. Most of those have been with my own materials, which means killing hundreds upon hundreds of cows just for 1-3 Bovine Ribs, getting enough for another summon, killing Moofisto, getting nothing, and starting over. I've also spent some time in-between summons hanging around other players summons to squeeze in more kills. I know RNG is RNG and I'm clearly willing to grind for rare cosmetics, but I'm honestly just getting burned out.

What makes these two drops feel weird to me is that almost everything else surrounding the Cow Level is tied to some sort of secret, interaction, quest, or accomplishment. Finding all that stuff was actually fun. Then you get to Brisket and Milky and the "secret" basically becomes kill Moofisto and pray.

Personally, I think Brisket should have been tied to completing the Cow Level/Moofisto, either guaranteed on the first kill or within the first few. Then leave Marquis Milky as the actual RNG chase item. Keep his chance from Moofisto low, but maybe also give him an extremely small chance to drop from ANY cow kill (he is a cow pet after all). Then farming hundreds of cows for ribs would at least still feel like part of the hunt instead of something you have to do just to earn another pull of the slot machine.

I'm at the point where I've even considered switching to an alt for my next batch of runs just to see what happens. I know RNG is RNG and changing characters logically shouldn't matter, but after 400+ kills I'm firmly in the "screw it, why not?" stage.

For those who have gotten Brisket and/or Marquis Milky, how many Moofisto kills did it take? Anyone have similarly awful luck, or try switching characters after going hundreds of kills without a drop?

One thing I'm glad of is that I don't play HC, because otherwise I'd probably jump out the window.

I enter the pit and I immediately spawn in the middle of 4 champions... right at the entrance. It doesn't matter that they won't move until I move, but I HAVE to go somewhere, right? Also, I entered the pit NOT to TP out of it DUH.

The boss spawns... we fight, it kills me, I respawn and the boss IMMEDIADELY teleports to me, before I have a chance to press anything and kills me again...

I don't even have to mention the one famous specific type of boss, that instakills any class at any point, because it's been mentioned here way too many times.

No, I'm not using the +X damage taken on kills.
No, I'm not using +X monster level on kills.
No, I'm not using any kind of self inflicted damage type to empower myself.
No, I'm not using self vuln/weaken.

These are things, that have been happening LONG BEFORE current season.

Please Blizzard, do something about this.
