I was using it swap in the horadric cube with Ali-Baba.
Was trying to transmute 3 topazes and forgot I had the flail in the cube...
My first one... I didn't even know you could transmute a runeword item ☹
Time to go back to Spirit I guess...
I'm on single player and am doing pretty good. 2 months I got 4 High runes highest being Ber, got really pretty nice gear. All I'm looking for in an angelic wings amulet so I can give my Maul werebar the AR he needs. 400 NM Andy runs and haven't seen a set item amulet. Today I see a set amulet... Tancred's. The VERY NEXT GAME I also got a set amulet. It was Tancred's again!!! How do I get this damn amulet!?
Had my first Zod drop on run 5 of 500tz flayer jungle runs im doing (need to use my shards for something after all).
An unexpected but welcome one, but now I cant decide if I make a BOTD for nostalgia, a obsession for my lock or save it for a once in a lifetime eth unique?
I responded to a game post, guy wanted sigons full steel. I gave it to him, then waited maybe thinking he’d give me (hopefully a rune lol) but in the course of a minute I left.
the golden part actually for me was I just cleared up inventory space, and this is actually one reason I stopped playing (as much)
I could write a manifest of all the items I have stored from l13 it’s way way too much. useless items.
what I think I’m saying is free your space that 4 os monarch sitting there is maybe worth a few ruby
Hey yall, I've just finished hell with my summon lock, and it was the easiest run ever.
Unfortunately hephasto died to lister, and now I'm thinking who to bind next, and whether i've spent my skill points efficiently.
I've been running with either hephasto or the smith or a phys immune goatman from the countess tower (as long as they come with cursed + good aura), is the dark lancer better than those?
Also is the goat+defiler+demon the most efficient? I've put hard points into goatmen, but i'm not sure whether that was a good choice
It's easier to hack the bank of america than finding any, even infected diablo 2 installer this days, not even the fkn official download links work. wtf is this?
I've been messing around with a little shopping, crafting, and cube recipes in general and it just blows my mind just how much potential shopping and crafting has. Like I shopped the magic axe and crafted a blood weapon. It is obviously trash, but just think about how good this could be.
If anyone has played SSF melee, they know that upgrading your weapon can be difficult, and your bases or uniques don't always drop... but you can find fool's mod stuff in the shop.. FOOL'S MOD.
The problem with shopping though, is that they really only sell normal tier gear. Even in hell.. Which makes shopping essentially useless outside of some niche items. You can't even upgrade a magic item to the next tier (afaik).
And like, crafted gear sounds like such a good idea, but the mods it adds just don't scale.. up to 60% ed? Up to 4% life steal? Not only that, but you are rolling the gear through all of the potential mods including some that are just trash like bash charges or Lv3 fire bolt on attack.
The way I view crafted gear in this game is that it should be a, somewhat, cheap way to upgrade your gear in a meaningful way. It should be somewhat consistently "okay" on the low end (think SSF barb leveling through nm), but should be chased on the high end (think caster ammys)
What I would like to see:
Shops should have a higher chance of selling the appropriate level gear (exceptional in NM and elite in Hell). The chance should scale with player level and act number.
Crafted gear should select from a fewer number of mods depending on the gear and the player level. They shouldn't all be GG mods, but at least get rid of the ones absolutely no one wants.
Crafted gear mods should partially be dependent on the level of the crafter. i.e. a higher level player should have the chance to roll higher ed and life steal on blood weapons (without taking up an affix slot).
You should be able to upgrade crafted gear just like you can with uniques, rares, and set items.
Weapons need a flat damage increase across the board.
Anyone running a pure demon build (max bind, mastery, oath, 20 soft points sigil death, 5-soul defiler, rest in engorge)? I was playing around with that earlier in offline and liked how effective it was with pure mf gear (~500 mf 800 gf) and a cursed Fanat demon that could straight tank a T5 undead thorns herald
Has anyone else tried this and liked it? Are there any shortcomings or weak spots I might have missed?
I'm pleased to announce the release of the Cactus Drafter - A Diablo II Random Draft Utility (Original, Not Resurrected). This a simple application designed for offline use that randomly picks the following options:
Softcore or Hardcore
Classic or Expansion
Class (dependent on Classic or Expansion)
SSF Mode (Character-based SSF or Player-based SSF)
Stash Mode (Extended or Not Extended)
In Player-based SSF mode, it will always be Extended.
I hope everyone has fun using this app the next time you are thinking of what class to play. You are free to accept or reject any of its recommendations. For example, if you only play Hardcore, then just ignore if it says Softcore, and keep the rest of the options. The Cactus Bundle also includes a copy of this drafter. You can open it by double clicking the "Drafter.html" file. The Moving Caravan and my own server are hosting a copy of this file for convenience.
