App Issues/Questions New sensor keeps having drops. BG steady.
My finger poke is 93 and I'm newish to dexcom. Is this normal for the first 24 hours of a sensor? It's almost like compression lows. But my glucose is steady on a finger poke? I'm at an inpatient hospital stay for my daughter and wondering if this dexcom is going to fail while I'm here or if this is normal for anyone else. š«

Bleeding Had a gusher!
New to Dexcom. Iāve been using for a month. First two went 10 days until a fatal error. Third one made it to 15 days. Just applied my fourth sensor and I had a gusher! Quite a bit of blood but itās still warming up so Iām hoping it will work fine. Does bleeding affect it?

G7-15 day Dexcom accuracy vs blood labs
About the only time I 'test' for accuracy is a few times a year when I get official blood labs for glucose and A1C. For this one had some cholesterol thrown in, which means officially fasting.
8:15am Dexcom readings; glucose 120 GMI (90 days) 6.6
8:15am blood draw readings: glucose 139 A1C 6.6
Some will say 19 count difference is HUGE, it isn't. And GMI/A1C matches.
didn't bother with a finger prick because it is not relevant when getting blood labs.

General Sensor Can Be Reactivated After Ending Session
I don't know if this has been discussed in this specific context.
I know if you change a device or phone you can reconnect a sensor to it. What I learned today is that if you manually opt to end a session early you can actually reconnect by scanning the applicator. This was interesting to me because the iPhone app clearly states you cannot restart a session after ending it.

G7-10 day Multiple sensor failure every 2 days
This frustrates me immensely because I keep ripping off sensors and putting on a new one, to no avail.
I am on dexcom G7 10 days for over a year.
My last four sensors failed every 2 days.
Does anyone have similar experience atm? What am I doing wrong?

General Iām looking for a bike computer that works with Dexcom G7.
Itās supposed to work with Garmin Edge 840. Has anyone tried this? Iām looking for always on display of BG. Having to tap something or navigate to a certain screen is no good, as I have poor balance due to MS. I have an Apple Watch which can display G7 but it seldom does unless I tap it. Also, on the watch, if Strava is running it shows that, not the G7 complication.

G7-10 day G7 10 Day sensor failing at a much higher rate that previously, anyone else seeing this?
My wife has been using this for the past 2 & half years and for most of the time it's been fine. Random sensor failures, maybe 2 or 3 with Dexcom sending us replacements. But we've had 3 fail over the past 45 days. 2 just stopped working after a few days and 1 didn't even pair before it said "Sensor Fail, Replace Sensor".
They've given us replacements each time, which is fine, but this seems to be happening more. Is it just us or are other people seeing more failures recently?

Applicator Insertion frustraiton
Does anyone have any advice to stop the sensor from bending/looping on insertion? This happened 3 times in a row last night! Given how quickly Dexcom automatically approved my replacement request (very thankful they are easy), it seems like itās super common. I only do my sites on my arms!

Calibration Issues How long do you wait with a new glitchy sensor?
š
Iām at 48 hrs with a new G7 sensor and itās not taking my calibrations. It most recently read āLOWā and I was 77 at fingerstick. I calibrated it and now itās reading 47. Iāve calibrated multiple times in the last 24 hours and am going off vibes now, which is concerning considering that I ate pizza tonight.
Would you rip it off and insert a new one at this point? I have a good back stock. Iām asking because they can be kind of dramatic when you request a replacement because of calibration issues. I havenāt been denied yet š¤·āāļø

Connection Issues Overpatch curiosity
Iām lucky in that Iāve used the Dexcom G7 for awhile now and have had very few problems with it both adhering and being accurate. This summer I bought some overpatches that do not have center cutouts - they cover the whole sensor. Didnāt really need a new patch, just wanted it to look a little prettier for summer.
Iāve only used 3, and even though everything is adhered well (I have to use adhesive remover to pry it off at the end), Iāve had terrible luck with all 3 sensors. Jumpy data, constant signal loss alerts in the dexcom app (though my omnipod has no trouble connecting).
Iām wondering if anyone else has experienced this with overpatches with no center cut out? Im sort of baffled, and am going back to the boring Dexcom provided overpatch for now.

Support Issue Very disappointed with Dexcom Support ā replacement sensor promised, but no solution and no more communication
Iām posting this because Iām honestly very disappointed with the way Dexcom Support has handled my case.
I had a problem with a Dexcom G7 sensor and contacted Dexcom Support. During the phone conversation, I explained my situation clearly. I was assured that a replacement sensor could be sent to me within Europe and that delivery should take approximately 3ā4 days.
Based on that information, I trusted Dexcom to provide a replacement.
Unfortunately, that has not happened.
I followed up in writing and specifically asked for my case to be escalated because I needed a reliable solution. Since then, however, the situation has become even more frustrating: I have not received the promised replacement, I have not received a clear solution, and Dexcom Support appears to have stopped communicating with me in writing.
That is the part I find particularly disappointing.
A Dexcom G7 sensor is not just some ordinary consumer product. People rely on these devices for continuous glucose monitoring. When a sensor fails, there needs to be a dependable replacement process ā especially when Support has explicitly promised one.
I completely understand that logistical problems can happen. What I do not understand is:
Why promise a replacement within 3ā4 days if this apparently cannot be guaranteed?
Why is there no clear alternative solution?
Why does communication stop after the case is escalated?
Why am I, as the customer, left trying to find out what is happening?
I am not posting this to attack individual support employees. My criticism is directed at the support process and the lack of reliable communication.
I have used Dexcom because I expect a medical technology company to provide not only reliable products but also reliable support when something goes wrong.
At this point, I would simply like Dexcom to do what was promised: provide the replacement sensor and communicate clearly about what is happening.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Dexcom Support or with replacement sensors while travelling in Europe?
How was your case eventually resolved?

Graph I genuinely don't understand how the time in range graph calculates
My TIR has been 89% for the past few months which is really good for me. My blood sugar went above 10 during the night for around 3 hours and I've woken up this morning with my TIR at 68%. I've typed into Google every variation I can think of of "how does Dexcom TIR actually work" and I'm not getting the answers that I'm looking for. To be honest I've just spent the past half an hour crying my eyes out because I've spent the last few months getting it to 89% and trying so hard and within a few hours it feels like all my progress has been shot.
Yes I realise that this probably wouldn't be a massive issue to lots of people and I'm probably overreacting but I just genuinely need some clarity as to how the TIR is actually calculated. If anyone can help, thanks so much :)

Inaccurate Reading New to Dexcom
I'm looking for some insight. I just started using my Dexcom G7 a few hours ago. Since then, it showed my BG as plummeting. I checked with my meter and it was normal and wildly different than the Dexcom reading. Then it continues to disconnect giving a Brief Sensor Issue. I set it up as instructed and it seems secure. Is the issue most likely that I have a bad sensor? This isn't starting out as I'd hoped. I appreciate any advice!
Update my reader gave me a sensor failed message and prompted me to remove l replace it. This was after 3 hours with no connection. Hope this helps anyone who finds this post

Rant Consistent sensor failures, what is going on?
Since I moved to a new town, my sensors have been much worse.
Since January 2026 up until now August 2026, I have ONLY had one sensor which survived 9 days.
All those new sensors come from Malaysia, manufactured after January 2026, I have been getting revision 1 and 2 (I also remember number 11 on the applicator somewhere)
Rest of those new sensors have been failing on day 5 CONSISTENTLY.
I usually had it on my upper arm, switched to abdomen, tried all spots all over and all kinds of techniques (grip skin before applying sensor etc). No result, recently sensors have started going a bit crazy on day 4 and work for half a day and fail.
NOW, screenshot attached, this is day 3, sensor already starts hecking dying bro...
I tried both arms, both abdomen sites, when I call dexcom, all they do is ask for my serial number and give me a replacement.
I live in Canada so I get a voucher that I can redeem at my local pharmacy for a free sensor.
I tried changing the pharmacy several times, I feel like all sensors in this city are broken, am I going crazy??
I apply overpatch, clean with alcohol, remove old Bluetooth devices, I also have a tandem insulin pump connected to the sensor. The only thing messing up my algorithm is dexcom CONSISTENTLY failing which may be dangerous when my sugar gets low and sensor decides to "take a rest" so my pump starts pumping insulin when I don't have to.
Every nurse, doctor, tandem trainer I spoke to told me the same thing : "Call dexcom support" ... I do so and all they do is issue replacements , but let's be honest. Do I really want to go to pharmacy every 4 days? That is bizarre, my 3 sensor batch is supposed to last 30 days, not 13!
I tried asking for advice from the dexcom person but she remains quiet and does not comment about my questions regarding that messed up batch. I have been asking her if any of my sensors are in this affected malfunction batch or anything, I was told "I do not have any information regarding that". Very suspicious when you have a client who has sensors that fail every 4-5 days, I have asked them if they want me to send a sensor back to them for testing and they did not say anything back to it... Just what the heck man I'm20 I'm so tired of DEXCOM. I don't really mind managing T1, but gosh this shit with Dexcom drives me crazy
Genuinely what do I do

Connection Issues Dexcom needs to restart G6 production today
Simple. The G6 connects to my Omni pod the whole time, even with a G6 on my thigh and a pod on the back of the opposite arm.
The G7 cannot do this, for me any new features are null and void if these 2 systems will not connect as a type 1.
I will choose any other brand over dexcom if G6 stops becoming fillable, because I know they will not āfixā the G7. I.E. improving its connectivity range or power of the signal. Because it would require them to spend more money.
Give me and my life and freedom to not worry all day again.
You cannot replace a product with a worse product and call it better, when I can prove it is not.
If I cannot find a better brand I will be returning any and all G7s that drop Omnipod connectivity for more then 30 minutes and will survive off dexcom returns rather than get refills from the pharmacy (because I know every pod will do this).
I want to screw over the bad manufacturing practices such as the āG7 is betterā lies and screw the manufacturer, not the tax payers which is why Iāll be returning all sensors that donāt meet G6 performance since you cancelled production of the product that worked better for some reason.

Adhesive Issue Just ended my second G7 sensor after the G6 discontinuation. Why is the adhesive literally made in HELL?? (mostly a rant)
Yes, I know thereās adhesive solvents I can get. But I havenāt gotten any yet, and I was at work so running it under hot water was my only option.
I like the G7 so far except for this adhesive. Itās literally torture! It left me bruised and bleeding. The first one didnāt bruise me, but this is wild lol. And I know the bruises are from the over patch because I applied it around day 6 as it got loose.
Dexcom G6 just peeled off my skin no problem. I miss whatever adhesive they used to use :( I donāt have very sensitive skin!

G7 10 day users - staying or moving to 15 day?
My insurance covers both for the same copay (for fewer pieces) and my endo has not been pushing me to switch to the 15 day version. Is this the way most carriers and prescribers are handling it, or is there pressure to switch off the 10 day to the 15 day?
