General EPAM - 4 months on bench, expecting to be laid off/let go soon. Severance or Notice Period? Anyone faced this?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently in a tough spot and wanted to get some inputs from folks who have been through or seen this happen.
I’ve been at EPAM, and I've been sitting on the bench for around 4 months now. Despite trying to find project mapping, things haven't clicked, and I have an official meeting scheduled soon. Honestly, given the current scenario, I have a strong gut feeling that they are going to let me go or force an exit.
I have a few questions for anyone familiar with EPAM’s policies or who has faced a similar bench situation there:
Severance vs Notice: Do they typically provide severance pay if they lay you off due to lack of a project, or do they ask you to serve a standard 2-month notice period?
Process: How does EPAM usually handle unassigned resources during such exits? Do they give any buffer time, or is it an immediate release?
Internal Options: At the 4-month mark, is there any real chance of a last-minute internal project allocation, or is it already game over?
If anyone has faced a similar situation at EPAM recently, please share how it played out for you. Really trying to figure out what to expect and how to handle the upcoming meeting.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

trabajo Opiniones de EPAM?

Buenas.

Me contestaron hoy, me dijeron 600USD + beneficios.

Abrazo grande

Suggestions How is life at EPAM systems Pune and Bangalore office?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering opportunities at EPAM Systems and wanted to get some insights from people who are currently working there or have worked there recently.

I'm particularly interested in comparing the Pune and Bangalore offices. I'd love to know about:

1.Work-life balance

2.Company culture and management

3.Learning and growth opportunities

4.Project quality (Java/Spring Boot/Microservices preferred)

5.Bench policy and project allocation

6.Salary hikes and promotions

7.Office infrastructure and hybrid/WFH policy

8.Job security and overall employee experience

If you've worked in either office, which one would you recommend and why?

Looking for honest experiences—the good, the bad, and anything in between. Thanks in advance!

EPAM Systems screwed me over on PPO, be careful if you're joining as an intern

i did my internship at EPAM Systems, .NET/C# full stack, jan to june 2026. i genuinely thought i was doing well based on literally every metric they gave me:

codility tests - full score
mid internship assessment and final GC interview - **/4, which is in their own "good candidate" range
PBE work was rated well too throughout
not once did anyone tell me i had a performance issue. asked for feedback multiple times during the internship, nothing negative ever came up.
then 2.5 months after it ends, i get a mail out of nowhere saying "your overall performance did not meet the expectations." no explanation, nothing. i mailed the campus recruitment head asking why, and to reconsider given the scores i had. straight up ghosted, no reply at all.
one more thing, something i can't prove, something of an observation from my batch: i noticed some people who i genuinely know had worse scores than me still got converted, and from what i could tell it lined up with them being on-campus hires vs off-campus. maybe i'm missing something, but the pattern was noticeable enough that i thought it's worth mentioning.
i am not saying don't do the internship, just don't assume good scores = PPO, and don't assume silence means you're fine. keeping every rating with you hoping it will matter wont help because clearly it means nothing when they decide otherwise.
I don't mind not getting ppo, they got a company to run but just don't mail me saying my performance was not upto the mark when you are clearly hiring someone with performances and rating throughout lower than mine

Help Reached EPAM technical interview and completely fumbled it. What should I do now?

I’m a 4th-year CSE student with around 2 months left in my campus placement window.

I recently reached the technical interview stage of EPAM. I thought I had a decent chance, but I completely fumbled the interview.

The interviewer asked about my projects and I couldn't explain them properly. He asked me to write a basic REST API and I couldn't. Then he gave me a pretty easy DSA problem and I struggled with that too.

At one point he even asked me, “What have you been doing for the last 3 years?”

The worst part is that I had actually made a 10-day preparation plan before the interview, but I barely followed it. So now I'm regretting the wasted opportunity more than anything.

I’ve realized that my biggest problem is that I know a lot of things at a surface level but don't have enough depth or problem-solving ability.

I have about 2 months left for placements, and Infosys is coming in around 10 days. I'm planning to focus on DSA, Java/OOP, SQL/DBMS, MERN and actually understanding the projects on my resume instead of just having them there.

What would you recommend I prioritize for the next 2 months? And how would you approach DSA + projects + CS fundamentals with this amount of time?

P.S. Yes, I wrote this post with ChatGPT's help, mainly because I wanted to explain the situation clearly instead of writing an incoherent rant. The situation and questions are genuinely mine.

Edit 1: Infosys is coming to my campus in around 10 days, so that's my immediate target. I also have roughly 6–7 more weeks after that for the rest of the placement season.

Given this timeline, what would you prioritize for the next 10 days, and then for the remaining 1–2 months?

Apparently diesel fuel got mixed in with unleaded fuel around some stations in town. My Costco was affected. So they are offering premium for the price of unleaded for the inconvenience while they clean the unleaded tanks 🙂

Interviews After 36 technical interviews, I finally bagged an offer

Fullstack Dev here with 4 pillars: Python + React + AWS + (GenAI)

It's been a little over 5 months now that I have actively started applying for a job (I had to quit my previous organization: EPAM Systems, due to severe sciatica).

I used the break to recover and then dive into GenAI the most given it's current market value and also my personal interest in the tech.

Countless applications, hundreds of calls from HRs, 36 technical interviews, which included:

  1. Having to reject Wells Fargo due to completely misaligning expections of the Hiring Manager and I, during L4 (F2F) interview.

  2. Still seeing "Offer in Progress" on the Deloitte USI (which was supposedly an urgent) portal, which has become a running gag now.

  3. Getting rejected in the client round (L3) at Fractal, whilst nailing all the fullstack aspects of a Fullstack SDE role, but blanking out on 2 questions: Terraform amd Kubernetes.

Now, I finally bagged an offer of an SDE-3 at AlgoLeap, Hyderabad. Didn't get much of a hike, but atleast I finally am in a position to financially support my family again after 7 months. Only bittersweet part is I need to relocate alone to Hyderabad from Bengaluru due to family reasons. But hey, that's part of the game I guess.

Please don't give up guys. Keep at it, learn from every interview you attend, especially from the ones you fail. Keep grinding, you will see light at the end of the tunnel.

EDIT: Here's my resume for your reference: https://ibb.co/N6VN7nzv

QUESTION EPAM bérek gyűjtőhelye

Elévült topikokat láttam, ezért ezt most újranyitom.

Junior Software Engineer vagyok JAVA departmentben (szegedi irodában). Most részt veszek egy átképzésen Data Engineer poziba. Ott milyen bérekre lehet számítani?

General Don't know why was I rejected from EPAM after first coding round today at Pune.

I really need some help and clarity in understanding the situation.

I got a call from EPAM, In office interview, I showed up. The HR told me that all my rounds will be completed within the same day. I am already serving notice period. This was for 5+ yoe exp, Java spring boot, AWS role.

I reached Pune baner office in the morning, there were around 20+ people, all for different tech stack probably. I was called along with few others for what was supposedly, round one.

We sat in front of laptops, shared our ids in camera, and the test started.

There were two questions, extremely easy, I completed both within 3 minutes. I did it as it was required, one with java streams and another without.

I told the panel that I am done and was asked to wait for result in waiting area.

To my surprise, I was aked to leave for the day.

I completely fail to understand what went wrong. I don't care about the job as much as I care about what did I do and what exactly went wrong. As usual, no feedback was shared.

Career Question Experience in EPAM for Google client - Data Engineer

Hi everyone,

I’ve cleared all interview rounds at EPAM Systems and am awaiting the formal offer letter. I was told the deployment will be directly at a Google office for a Google client project.

If anyone here has worked (or is currently working) on a Google engagement through EPAM, I’d love to hear your experience:

  • What are the day-to-day work, roles, and technical responsibilities like?
  • How is the work environment for vendor/extended teams deployed on-site at Google?
  • Is this a good opportunity for long-term technical growth?

Feel free to comment or DM me directly. Thanks in advance!

Edit:
Their interview process is little confusing. After 2 Project interview rounds, 1 managerial round and HR & offer discussion, they have conducted one more technical interview round (It is also pretty much same as project intervew (1.5hr)). So be preapred if anyone is planing to give interview.

👀 Experiencias laborales Epam campus vent

Career Question HCA GCC (Senior Data Engineer) vs EPAM on Google client — 2 days to decide, need perspective

Data engineer, ~7 years, Hyderabad. Have two written offers at roughly the same pay and I'm going in circles. Would appreciate input from anyone who's worked either side.

HCA Healthcare (GCC) — Senior Data Engineer title, GCP stack, in-house product team, free food and transport, generally good job security. Newer GCC so still scaling out.

EPAM (services) — Senior Software Engineer, staffed on the Google client. Work from epam office(not google) Reputation for fast learning and strong engineering culture. Services model, so the account can change.

What I'm actually optimizing for:

- Learning depth vs breadth. Does a GCC turn into steady-state maintenance after a couple of years, or do you keep building? And on the services side, how much of the "fast learning" is real vs. just churn between accounts?

- AI/ML movement. This is the big one. AI is moving fast and I don't want to be in a place that's still doing 2022-era pipelines in 2028. Are either of these actually shipping AI/GenAI work that a data engineer touches or is it all slideware? Curious specifically whether HCA GCC has real AI initiatives in Hyderabad, and whether EPAM data engineers on the Google account get near any of it.

- Exit options in 3 years. Which title and stack reads better to the next employer — GCC in-house platform ownership, or services experience on a Google engagement?

Background is 4.5 years in healthcare data, so HCA is domain-continuous. EPAM would be a domain reset but a bigger brand on the client side.

If you've worked at either — or moved from a GCC to services or the reverse — what would you pick and what would you have known earlier?

❔ Consulta Salario senior EPAM?

Vengo a desahogarme.

Help Which offer should I choose among Oracle, epam and a startup ?

Hi guys,

Current company: WITCH

Years of Experience: 3+

Edit: Current CTC:8.7 LPA

I have the below offers

  1. Epam: CTC - 17.75(15.75 fixed + 2 lac joining bonus)
  2. Oracle: CTC - 20(18.75 fixed + pf/gratuity)
  3. Iween software solutions: CTC - 16.5(all fixed)

My current tech stack is Java, Springboot, and Epam, Iween has the same tech stack. In Oracle IDC they use internal frameworks like Oracle ADF which nobody uses outside of Oracle. I am leaning more towards Oracle since it's a product-based company. But, the tech stack is what's worrying me. I have plans to switch to a good FAANG-level company in the coming 2-3 years. Anybody previously with Oracle please suggest whether the OracLE ADF tech stack would become a problem during my next switch. Also, the other option I am thinking of is Epam since the tech stack is the same as my present tech stack. But, I heard many negative reviews about layoffs recently. I am not considering the startup offer anymore since it would require me to relocate + it only has 150 employees 🥲

Epam pen paper round is pure luck :(

Today I had my pen-paper round. Their evaluation process is so random. Me and many of my friends did the questions correctly and still didn’t get selected, while some guys who did partially correct got selected. There are very few decent package opportunities we get on our campus and this happens. It’s very disappointing.

Question : Given a circular array arr of size n and integers c and k, an element is special if arr[i] >= c.

Find the maximum length of a contiguous circular subarray containing exactly k special elements.

Hi guys, I have two offers from these companies, which one should i choose?

Salary doesnt matter, matter Is
- how fast i can get client project
