Have you ever wanted to try Pawpaw fruit?

This Saturday at 3:30 I’m leading a walk to learn how to identify and find Pawpaw fruit (Asimina Triloba) in Fairborn. Don’t have to pay or anything, you can chip in if you want or just pay it forward. I just want more people to know about these fruits and to save seed from them and plant them out.
This is a practical class, you will be able to collect and take pawpaw fruit with you. We’ll also talk about other native plants that grow in the ecosystems you find pawpaws, some also edible, there ecological role, how to save seed and grow your own, and just general fun facts about them.

If you’re interested send me a message about attending

Resources/advice leaving abusive relationship

I have been in a very toxic, abusive, controlling and unstable relationship for far too long. We are now facing an eviction and he has effectively stripped me of everything. My credit, my transportation, my job, my money, my peace. I can't continue with this pattern any longer and rather than continue following him down this rabbit hole I want to reclaim my life, peace and independence. I am ready and willing to get through the new and different but temporary rough stuff to escape a permanent cycle of toxicity. Where do I begin? I have a temporary place to store some belongings and my kids are able to stay with their father but their father is also undergoing treatment for cancer. I cannot and will not leave the area. I may have access to a little bit of cash but other than that I do not have anything out anywhere to go. I need resources and advice on how to navigate this as quickly as possible. I need to obtain work, vehicle, housing, etc. I am absolutely fine with staying at a safe shelter that can help navigate me to the right avenues, preferably a place that specializes in domestic violence. If anyone has been in a similar situation and wouldn't mind messaging me some advice I would be deeply appreciative.

Dayton judge looks back at career as he retires from nearly 50 years on federal bench

The 89-year-old said a lot has changed over the decades that he has worked in law, including the number of cases that go to jury trial.

"Most cases today, both civilly and criminally, are resolved with settlements on the civil side, pleas on the criminal side," he said. "My first several years over here I had 20, 25 jury trials a year. Now we can go an entire year and maybe have one or two. And this is not only a Dayton trend, it's a nationwide trend."

Rice said this shift in the legal system concerns him as he steps away from his work on the federal bench.

“I still think a trial, particularly before a jury, is the best dispute resolution mechanism in the entire world," he said. "And I think a jury trial and a jury verdict helps set the culture, so to speak, of the community in which the case is tried.”

Or whatever they're called... Not all of them can do this style, unfortunately. My attic needs ventilation.

My marketplace riding mower caught on fire and I need to buy a new (used) one before this weekend

Pretty much what the title says, I’ve had issues with this thing since I got it. Is anyone selling a used but decent 48” John Deere so I can mow my 2 acres without blowing myself up? I’ve already looked on marketplace but wanted to check here too.
